Classic Cue

I think this place has the best burger in town. They are BIG, they have a few choices of fries, tater tots all in large portions and play some pool, listen to music… and very reasonable prices.

We spend our summers in South Lake Tahoe and love to visit Classic Cue several times each summer. We love their Fish Tacos! They have 10 beers on tap. Oh, and of course they have many pool tables.

My wife and I stopped by for dinner before we went to the Chicken Foot concert a couple weeks ago. We shared the «Cue Lossell» burger. It was plain awesome and Freakin HUGE! The seasoned tater-​tots were the icing on the proverbial cake. Some may think of this place as a hole in the wall. I think of it as the absolute «BEST» burger place in South Lake Tahoe that also has some good beers on tap. You can’t beat the prices either.
I’ve eaten here on about 10 occasions. I have never been disappointed.

By far the best burgers ever! And the bacon cheddar totts. OMG!!! Great bar, excellent food. Plenty of pool tables. We come here every time we visit.

Great place, atmosphere and people. Cheap booze and amazing food. They have $ 1 beers and tacos every monday. Pool. Karaōke. Best bar in SLT.

Perfect little bar– cheap beer, decent bar food, super fun atmosphere even on a Wednesday in the middle of winter. They had 6 pool tables and we were easily able to get one– $ 8 an hour for the table went perfectly with the $ 8 PBR large pitchers. We finished 15 minutes early going into our 2^nd hour, and they only charged is for 1.75 hours which was cool. Super friendly bartender who was fun to chat with, and karaōke! It was a great time and we will definitely be back.

Tahoe has A LOT of great burger places. I’d say it’s competitive. But Classic Cue has hands down THE BEST BURGER in south lake tahoe. The black and blue can not be beat. Witty staff and always decent brews on tap. Beware if it’s crowded but you’ll know if the parking lot is full that fast service will be risky. Otherwise, any burger lover is missing out if ya haven’t tried this one.

Great little spot always full of locals. The fish tacos are awesome… I don’t even like cooked fish but these tacos are bomb! Usually come with friends to play on one of the many pool tables at night or sometimes come for lunch. Fun place to hang out. All of the employees are super friendly and provide good service.

I really liked this place while we were there — we had an early dinner on a Monday and the service was nice, the burgers were delicious, the atmosphere was just how I like it — divey but not gross. Nice fireplace. Great food and great prices.
However, both me and my husband got heartburn/​sour stomach afterwards, and because we weren’t sure it was from the food, we ate our leftovers that we had taken home, and felt icky again, so sure enough, it was the food. I’m not sure why, but it means we probably won’t be back next time we’re in Tahoe. I would still recommend it to others though, if you don’t have a sensitive stomach.
Caveat: my husband does have a bit of a sensitive stomach, and I’m pregnant, so have more heartburn than usual. We have to take those factors into account. However, neither of us were having issues with burgers and fries at that point, so I don’t know. Just our own personal experience.

Really enjoyed Classic Cue. They had micro — brews on draft, lots of TV screens showing the NFL wildcard games, good food and billards. I had a pastrami reuben that was really good and my friends had a bbq burger and black and blue burger and said they were awesome. My wife had fish and chips and said they were really good. They only have a limited liquor license so I couldn’t order a manhattan, so ordered one more micro brew. They do have vodka.

Very cool spot to shoot some pool, have a drink and listen to music. Lots of pool tables and a full bar with a nice variety of options. I didn’t order any food, but the table next to us did and it looked good! Obviously pub food, but it looked like damn good pub food and not gut grenade super greasy and nasty like some pub food can be. Lots of locals and everyone there was friendly including the staff. They have live music some nights and karaōke some nights too. It’s nice that it’s not smack dab in the middle of downtown and flooded with hipster tourists. Felt like being back at home in Santa Cruz and definitely one of my new favorites to unwind at when coming up to Tahoe. Will be here again!

Cool place to hang out play pool and drink a beer! Popular with locals as one guided us here for lunch. Had the blackened chicken sandwich. Yummy! Loved the spicy mayo. Chelsea our bartender was friendly and helpful.

Okay first off this is my favorite bar in town. No really I love you guys. if you want to sing kereoke, wednesdays and fridays are the nights to come here. Ezra kills it on the kereoke. Chelsea, Dave, Billy, Stef, Lane, behind the bar killing it, and can’t forget Matt and Brett slinging in the back! Dolla Miller Mondays! Holla! Sorry if i forgot anyone!

I absolutely love grilled sandwiches, tater tot fries, a tasty brew and a good billiard game…
That’s one reason why Classic Cue is one of my go-​to, local spots.
At Classic Cue, I love and I have tried almost everything on the menu. Before I launch into my fave sandos, it’s good to know that their tater tots are to die for!
My favorite sandwiches include: the Ruben: grilled pastrami, on rye with sour kraut, melted swiss and thousand island, & the Blackened Chicken Sandwich: Grilled chix sandwich with swiss cheese, spicy mayo, lettuce, tomato, red onion. :).
Most meals come with choice of tater tots, salad or cold slaw. I definitely recommend the tots.
Food is affordable, and I absolutely love that you can play pool by the hour, and enjoy love that they have open mic nights on Thursday.

These burgers were BIG. Cooked to order-​I opted for the Blue Cheese and Bacon (8). The hubby went with his usual-​Bacon Cheeseburger (8). Nice sear on the outside and juicy on the inside. Mine had the perfect amount of cheese to bacon ratio so neither over powered the other. We had just lost our *expletive* in Tahoe and were on a budget but I ordered a beer anyway to try and forget we would be eating beans and rice for a week. The bartender was very sweet and the cook proud of his burgers as he well should be. I forget what night they do Karaōke-​but I heard its a blast
Fries were pretty impressive too! Not greasy at all, a bit of seasoned salt with a kick.
I was surprised when our bill was only $ 22.
I miss Hoss Hoggs as our stop out of town. This is definitely my new go-​to on the way back to Sac.

This place is all new, if you think you know it but have not been there recently you are probably going to be very surprised. The place rocks for all age groups.
New owners, have made it a Tahoe destination. It has all the fun stuff for a good time out on the town. Great food, fun games, Sports bar fun, several large T V’ s, thru out the place. Several pool tables, Entertainment throughout the week, Music, themed events, you name it this place has it going.
All in all a very cordial and fun place to hang out with your friends !!
