Had a 10 oz steak, with veggies and baked potatoes. Also had an appetizer of fried egg plant. The entire meal was delicious and service was great. I recommend Ro Jo’s to all who enjoy a tasty steak. Price was descent as well. All around great experience and good food.

I totally recommend this place. The atmosphere was warm, cozy, rustic, and I felt like I was in someone’s log cabin back in time, a quintessential Lake Tahoe experience Service was friendly and attentive. I ordered the baby back ribs with potato wedges, and it was soooo delicious, hot, tender, sweet, and slightly crunchy on the edges. The fries crispy, not greasy and appeared to be fried in some sort of light batter. delicious. They also have really good beer, my husband had an amber lake tahoe ale and I had a blonde ale and both were absolutely delicious. Go here, please!!!

Didn’t have any of the food, just sat in the bar. The bartender was friendly enough. She made a pretty good whiskey sour, but when I asked for a water back, she poured me half a rocks glass of water with no ice. WTF? Wanted to go for karaōke, but it was cancelled that night at the last minute. I will give it another try, but there are probably better places to drink.

Tahoe has a lot of restaurants with great reviews, it was hard to pick the right restaurant. I somehow ended up at this Tavern, originally the BBQ sign sold me. 70’s all the way as soon as you walk in, pretty cool — different especially when you’re from the city. Although I wanted BBQ I ended up ordering the Lobster tail. I wasn’t expecting to spend $ 50 on dinner but so glad I went with this option. The lobster was a nice portion and was able to hold off on the garlic. Our waitress was super nice and checked in with our table frequently. It was Karaōke night and would have been back if I weren’t so exhausted. Next time I’m in Tahoe this will be my first stop, again!

The food was mediocre. Had the ribs and chicken plate. It was more lukewarm than freshly hot. The décor inside is cool though. Felt like I was in the 70s

Ended up here after driving by headed to a Mexican restaurant. Saw the bbq sign from the street and my man is a huge new guy do we stopped. First ordered the tempura zucchini, EXCELLENT! Ordered the chicken Picatta and he had the ribs, according to him they were done just right and very good. Snuck a bite and it was very tender. My chicken Picatta was So delicious and plenty of capers. Great paired with the zucchini and the pasta it came with. The service was fantastic! Our waiter was extremely attentive, prompt and friendly! Highly recommend!

This place is so cool. It has a unique Tahoesque vibe. The waiter had an adorable accent and was working his tail off. very responsive and kind. The food was absolutely outstanding. We had our two small kids with us and it was all around a home run. We shared the spinach salad, Alfredo, ribs, French onion soup, and had some drinks. Everything was delicious and had its own unique taste.

Love love love this old place. Been here a few times and have not been disappointed. The Tapia fries are to die for. The ribs are outta this world and the chicken is delisioso! It’s got a nice bar and friendly staff who love to serve. It makes working in Tahoe tolerable.

Still enjoy coming here on the 4th of July weekend with my family. Though we don’t watch the fireworks at El Dorado beach anymore, we still uphold the tradition to eat at RoJo’s on the 4th of July. This year was a great year. I spent it with my boyfriend and parents. We split a bottle of wine and enjoyed another great meal. So thankful to upkeep our family traditions. I’m sure you will visit here, after all, you always seem to do what I do anyway!

Husband and I went here on a late Sunday during off season for karaōke. We had a good feeling it would be pretty slow but it was dead. 2 other people there and we were pretty sure the bar tender was tipsy. Another bar tender came in who seemed more professional until an hour or so in we couldn’t find him. My husband looked all over. We asked the first bar tender who I assumed was off duty but still there drinking. He said that the bar tender was«around» and offered no help to find him. Some other patron/friend went looking for him. The first drink my husband ordered was a glass of wine which was filled all the way to the top, which hey $ 7, good deal but that’s kind of concerning. And we’re pretty sure the first bar tender didn’t even record that or the red bull. My husband had at least 4 beers, glass of wine, and a red bull his tab was $ 15. Great for us, bad for the business. Karaōke set up was nice although the lady running it(I think the owner of the karaōke) was wearing a sports bra and yoga pants no shoes. A little too comfortable and unprofessional. It seemed like everyone in there but us were friends or regulars which explains the behavior but if you are going to be open to the public, be professional, especially when you have 2 patrons that you don’t know. I don’t know if we’ll be back considering we only visit Tahoe a couple times a year and there are plenty of other places to try. Pretty sure we wouldn’t recommend it either. But hey everyone has an off night, no business is perfect. We didn’t get food, didn’t seem like it was offered(we were there from 9pm-11:30pm) Place seemed clean, and the staff were friendly. Beer was good temp. Ladies restroom was clean and stocked husband said men’s restroom had some sort of septic issue which seemed like the 2nd bar tender handled fairly quick.

I’ve been coming to RoJo’s for 5 years now. I probably won’t be coming back after last nights dinner. For a hole in the wall tavern there was a time when the place was making 4 and 5 star meals. Last night proved that even a 6 year old could cook a better dinner and actually know what to cook. I ordered the RibEye dinner. Didn’t get a 12oz RibEye, I received a 8oz top sirloin, there was no marbled fat which is what RibEyes are notorious for. 3 of my friends ordered fettuccine alfreddo, or chicken alfreddo. The alfreddo wasn’t creamy, not enough cream cheese, pepper, butter or milk, it was gritty with to much Parmesan. The only thing that didn’t go bad was the fried vegetable basket, but who wouldn’t know how to put tempura vegetables in the deep fryer. I humbly paid the bill. The bartender seamed new enough“who was also our server”, and myself and my group didn’t feel wasting the energy taking it out on the newbie bartender. RoJo’s wasn’t going to comp the bill. Which I paid $ 228.00 on a tab, and feel embarrassed for recommending my closest friends to this place when the quality was extremely lacking and the professionalism was poor.

Well I can’t speak on the quality of food considering we didn’t get that far, but I do know that this was absolutely the worst service I’ve ever received at a restaurant in my life. We sat down and waited a while before the waitress came by to let us know it’d be a few more minutes before she got to us. Totally fine, but it would have been nice to have gotten menus in the meantime. She came over about 10 minutes later with the menus from a table who decided to get up and leave. She then proceeded to take our drink orders and after only getting one of them she interrupted and said«it’ll be just a minute, food just came up» and abruptly left our table. Absolutely unacceptable, that is when we decided to get up and leave as well. The restaurant was not even near being busy so there is really no excuse for the service(or lack thereof I should say) we received.
