Matt did a wonderful job assisting us with our menu choices. He is a great asset to the restaurant. This is my third time here in the Landing since I first discovered it accidentally a few months ago. The attention to detail is amazing and the staff are friendly and courteous.

The food was good, but the prices were a bit outrageous for dinner. One bowl of gnocchi with Spanish chorizo and parsnip purée was $ 25, that seems steep for something essentially made of a potato, some flour, half of one chorizo sausage, and some parsnips. I’d recommend it for a nice night out, just be prepared to pay a bit more than you may feel is deserved.

The waitstaff and service her are A+. The wine list is lacking which is why I gave it 4 stars. The food is good and consistent. The Margherita pizza was great. Outdoor dining is very nice and the bar is beautiful. Fire pits outside are great for cocktails. The food is ok, but everything else is so lovey you don’t notice the food really …

Superb food and service at Jimmy’s. I choose this restaurant for my husband’s birthday after reading all the good reviews. It didn’t disappoint. We both ordered the lamb which was«melt in your mouth» amazing. The waitress also let us try a couple of different wines to best compliment the meal. Even my son’s «kids meal» of chicken and fries was great. The chicken was succulent and juicy. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

We had breakfast here since we were snowed in and this restaurant is in the resort we are staying at. Our waitress was really nice and helped us with local places to take the kiddos play with the snow since Heavenly was closed due to high winds. :( I had the Eggs Benedict which was yummy. I think the kids had the best pancake here this week in S. Lake Tahoe. Will def be back for dinner.

This place is great! Came in for breakfast — had the smashed avocado with feta toast… Delish! Also tried the lemon ricotta pancakes, they were light and fluffy and structured as well … Very very good! The place is clean and comfortable — good for a quiet Sunday breakfast — step outside to the patio … Sit by the fire and sip champagne … Enjoy the view … Relax! Lovely!

Delishious!!! The menu is simple, yet interesting with a wonderful mix of dishes and flavors. Everything is made to order so I was able to substitute tomatoes instead of mushrooms in the risotto.(I don’t care for mushrooms). Our waiter was VERY knowledgeable about the wine menu and suggested perfect pairings for our dishes. The mixed drinks are made perfectly as well. All the staff was welcoming and attentive. The restaurant and bar are clean and decorated tastefully with a fine attention to detail. The views of the lake are lovely. I liked the relaxing vibe with wonderful cuisine and wine. I look forward to coming back.

Dined here for lunch because Unilocal users rated it 4 stars. First when you walk in, the interior is beautifully decorated. For lunch we ordered the margarita pizza, clam chowder, and spinach salad. The pizza came out warm(not hot) and soft, the dough is very much like a fresh made pita. Of course, after 5 minutes the pizza dough gets soggy. The clam chowder was extremely salty, so if you prefer salty, order the clam chowder! Lastly, the spinach salad was good albeit a little over zealous on the bacon vinegarette dressing which made the spinach overdressed and wilt. Sigh. Cant win them all. The servers were young and attentive however, overall service was a little bit slow. Also, while we were seated near the hostess bar, there were a few hotel guests complaining about the food and room service from this restaurant. The hostess/manager was very apologetic and gave the guests free meals in exchange for the subpar food. Perhaps we will try again but for breakfast as the reviews for the Eggs Benedict seems like a win!

My fiancé and I are in tahoe to snowboard for Christmas. We have had breakfast, lunch, and dinner here. The food here is fantastic as well as the service! For breakfast, try the eggs potatoes and sourdough toast! Add ham you won’t regret it! For Lunch, the Greek Reuben and crab Blt are both good but the Reuben was better. For dinner, Ribeye and filet both delicious. The potatoes au gratin are awesome. Have the lemon curd cheesecake! Enjoy!

During our stay at The Landing we ate a few meals here. Great food, amazing atmosphere. The patio area at sunset is dreamy.

Nice restaurant with great lake view! Even though it’s in a luxury boutique hotel, lunch prices were very reasonable. We started with a trio of dips and pita bread. The bread was warm and soft. The hummus and baba ghanoush were ok but the third dip was very creamy and delish. From the mocktinis, I ordered the pickled pear lemonade which was a regular sour lemonade, didn’t taste much of a different flavor but it was fuchsia and beautiful. My coworker and I shared the soft shell crab BLT and the burrata salad with shrimp(addtl $ 9 for 3 pieces). Everything was flavorful and fresh. My only minor complaint was that the crab was too small compared to the rest and the bacon definitely overpowered it. Service and ambiance were great!

The main reason this got so few stars was that we got major food poisoning from the broccolini :( The restaurant itself is lovely. Chic modern décor with very comfortable chairs. There is indoor and outdoor seating where you can see the lake, as well as the full bar. The breakdown: service: excellent ambiance: romantic, classy food: — LOVED the foie gras — meat was dry — but the worst was the food poisoning and the retching that came 5 hours after dining there

Great food and service and view. I would recommend. Breakfast: I recommend the Eggs Benedict and breakfast potatoes. The seasonal berry bowl is, also, refreshing and tasty. The lemon ricotta pancakes were good, but a bit on the dry side. Dinner: Zucchini Kelfedes was a great appetizer. I wasn’t a fan of the Kalamata Toast: the lamb was bit bland. For a main dish, I had the rotisserie chicken, which was succulent wrapped in a thin, crispy layer of skin. Drinks: I recommend the cocktails. They were smooth and well-prepared. Staff: Phenomenal and friendly staff.

This place is a great spot to pre-game before you go out. It’s so relaxing you might end up just staying the whole afternoon to enjoy the gorgeous view or have one of their refreshing cocktails in the bar. So far we’ve had appetizers, drinks and lunch at this restaurant and everything has been nicely done and very tasty. This morning we got Bloody Mary’s and they really hit the spot. Perfect amount of zip and spice. We also ordered a cheeseburger, Ruben and fish tacos. It’s nice they have lots of choices to share with the table. All were delicious. The rye bread for the Ruben was spot on. I recommend ordering extra thousand island dressing and a side of pickles if you order it. Fish for the tacos and meat on the burger was cooked perfectly. They both however weren’t super flavorful so I gave four stars. Don’t let four stars hinder you. We had a great time and it was good.

We had walked by this place while getting some fresh air and a break from the events of the Unilocal Tahoe Getaway and said…“we need to try this place sometime when we come back to Tahoe.” I just couldn’t wait. We were killing some time before the last event of the weekend and decided to go ahead and check it out. We didn’t want to eat too much, so we just split some pancakes and an order of eggs Benedict… and two cappuccinos. Two wonderfully rich, flavorful and proper cappuccinos. The breakfast was just about perfect, if just a little more filling than we had expected. The Benedict was super light and delicately flavored, and the best part. It wasn’t loaded with salt. Even the ham didn’t seem too salty. Just a great combination of biscuit(yes I said biscuit), egg, hollandaise and ham put onto a plate and served with a smile. And speaking of service our waitress was right as rain. Couldn’t have asked for a more pleasant staff, greeting us as we came in and left. Are you looking for date atmosphere? Cause they had it this morning… until the game came on, but hey! at least it’s a nice place to maybe watch the game. But seriously this place really is a hidden gem during the«shoulder» season. My guess is, this place is hopping during the summer and winter. But now, is the best time if you want a little more quiet and intimate on a weekend morning. Plus how can you resist a cool wall of wine like they have in the bar area? I personally can’t wait to head back up here for a nice evening and see just what the dinner menu has to offer. Because when you are in Reno… it’s hard to find a good date night spot.

During our stay at The Landing we dined here for dinner on our first night and lunch another day. The food is pretty good, but the convenience and atmosphere really make the experience. The best way to dine here is definitely late evening on the patio. The restaurant turns on fireplaces and has nice lighting to create a relaxing atmosphere on the patio. Lunch time here isn’t crowded and is still nice on a sunny day. Dinner: We started with the kalamata toast which was a stand out in taste and uniqueness. It was generously loaded with pulled lamb and then topped with a cranberry topping. We also enjoyed sangria and a mix drink which were delicious. I had the petite filet mignon which made me really appreciate the perfection that steakhouses in Las Vegas are creating. This just wasn’t good, it lacked seasoning and was near charred. It’s a bummer when a restaurant can’t properly prepare one of the most expensive items on the menu. My husband had the house made gnocchi with a parsnip cream. This was perfectly prepared and the sauce was delicious. He also ordered a side of risotto which was enough for two to share and some of the best risotto I’ve ever had. The texture and taste were on point. We finished the meal with chocolate mousse and the Samos Sweet Muscat. The mousse had a nice chocolate flavor, but the texture wasn’t what I was expecting. The mousse was very hard and required some work to dig out with a spoon. Maybe my expectations were off, but I expected mousse to be light and fluffy. The Muscat was not among the best we’ve had and my husband noted that it tasted cheap after first sip. Lunch: This was the perfect spot for a day when we were looking for a light lunch. We split a greek salad and a Greek reuben. Splitting these two made for the perfect amount of food for two of us. The Greek salad was delicious and the dressing was obviously house made. The kitchen was nice enough to split the salad on to two plates which was appreciated. The Greek Reuben served with french fries didn’t disappoint. It was like a traditional Reuben, but with an additional flavor that kicked it up a notch. Overall, Jimmy’s has great atmosphere and most of the menu items are well prepared. We’d definitely dine here again, especially if we were staying at the resort again.

Great spot if you want a classy dinner in Tahoe. Thankfully, no dress code required for this elegant place though. I really enjoyed the foie gras appetizer and my lamb entrée. The lamb was cooked perfectly and was tender and delicious. Everyone in my large party seemed to enjoy the meal. I thought our waiter Matt was funny and knowledgeable, but a few others found him overbearing and intrusive. Jimmy’s is on the higher end of dining in terms of price, but I think it’s worth it for the quality of food they deliver.

Hello swank! A positively beautiful restaurant right across the street from the lake. If you want a stylish atmosphere, this is your joint. We came specifically at sunset. The sunset views on the lake are just outrageously gorgeous. I didn’t want to sit outside on the patio, though, since the wind was picking up making it chilly & the only lit fire pit was already taken. But you get the view from inside the lounge too, so no worries. Yes, fire pits! Plural! On the patio! Love. The bar/lounge & the restaurant are elegant & comfortable. We were only doing drinks, since I had my mind set on Mexican food for dinner. The bar has a fireplace, a booth, dining tables, & a glass wine cellar«wall» that beautifully separates it from the main dining room. I immediately admired the entry to the main dining room; the details like the flowers & the chandeliers are stunning. The aesthetic is modern Thin Man. I loved it all. Our bartender was a champ. He was efficient & personable; what all restaurant staff should be. I ordered a great red that we both loved… Atlantis, Mandilaria, Santorini, Greece. The bartender happily put the Giants game on for us in about 2 seconds when my man asked him. Love. We wanted a pic of us w the sunset, so we snagged a server to do the honors. She too, was a champ. She took several pics & even said that if we weren’t happy w them, that she’d be happy to take more for us. Love. By the time we headed out, they had lit all the fire pits on the patio. You can’t beat the atmosphere. Well, unless of course you head over to Edgewood Restaurant on the golf course. It’s a pretty kick-ass situation over there, too. But, they’re different; Edgewood restaurant is more rustic refinement(like the former restaurant at Manka’s in Inverness), whereas Jimmy’s is just refined. We will definitely be back for dinner. An all around 5 star experience.

The restaurant looks pretty upscale but the service doesn’t really match the décor. We were a party of 7 and each end of the group ordered items to share amongst each side but the server/food runners kept mixing up which side ordered what dish. Our side ordered something the other side didn’t but it ended up on the other side. The server also forgot one of our main entrees. The filet was overcooked and we had to send it back, only for it to arrive after we had finished most of our food. The food pretty to look at but I thought it was Ok when it came to flavor, and execution. The blackberry lemonade tasted watered-down. I did not really taste the basil nor did it taste like lemonade. It tasted more like lemon water with a hint of blackberries. The wood-roasted confit chicken wings were tender but I did not really care for the glaze nor the mashed pumpkin pita salad. The wood-grilled octopus was really dry and very charred. It tasted like it was dehydrated. The wood-grilled prawns were cooked well I did not really like the flavors. The pulled duck burger was on the bland and dry side. It came with the«hand-cut chips» which they failed to mention were 1. not what comes to mind when you think hand-cut chips. they were more like the chips from fish and chips which were more like thick steak fries. 2. when we ordered a side of hand-cut chips, the server did not disclose that they were already included with the pulled duck sandwich so we had too many«chips» that we did not like.(the menu did not specify that the sandwich came with this side) The filet was nothing special but for the price of $ 60 it should have been. The mashed potatoes were the whitest mashed potatoes I’ve ever seen. I think it was served topped with olive oil. It wasn’t creamy enough for my taste. I felt like it was missing the heavy cream and butter. The dungeness crab polenta was really creamy and the pepper was a nice touch. This was probably the best thing there. The beet and apple salad was ok. I didn’t really taste any apple but the dish was beautifully plated. Overall disappointing meal with disappointing service.
