Meeks seems to be where most local contractors shop, which says a lot. And it’s a great group of people working here — knowledgeable and friendly.

Needed to build a new protective cage around a redwood tree on our property that the chipmunks seem to like a lot and strip the bark. The people in there were so helpful and friendly and even had a treat for my dog. Got a couple other items I forgot I needed!

Meeks in Meyers is a full service hardware and lumber store. T he staff are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Misty is awesome on matching paint. They will even cut your boards for $ 1.00 a cut(1 free cut with each board purchased). I’ve been shopping at Meeks in Meyers CA for 11 years and will continue to do so.

Amazing! The help I received mixing paint by Ozzie – he was friendly and an expert customizing a paint color for me – I will return because of the service I got!

0 stars is right. We called ahead to see if they had the product we need. They assured us they did. When we arrived, they didn’t. So the clerk, a sincerely nice young man, said the computer indicated they had it in stock and checked in back. Nope. No product. Instead, he offered us… longtime locals, a discount on the next sized product. However, when we got to checkout, the manager, a pubescent, tattooed female infested with piercings, denied us any discount, told us she«couldn’t» do it, and then lambasted the poor clerk in front of us. Basically she just REFUSED to give us a discount, even though the reason we drove down there was because they told us the product was in stock. This is called CUSTOMERNOSERVICE, and this is why WEWILLSHOPDOWNTHEHILL. We TRY to support local businesses. Three different places in town treated us so rudely in one day. Aspen Hollow Nursery treated us like dirt, Kmart treated me like I worked there and expected me to run a price check, and Meeks pulled the ol’ bait and switch. We could have run down the hill and back, completed our project and biked our favorite trail, but in the hopes of supporting our community we tried to do business up where we live and accomplished nothing. Sorry Tahoe businesses, you truly disappoint… again.

This is a full service hardware store and building supply place in the main, and only, drag in Meyers It wasn’t even on the Unilocal listing, but was in google maps, shame on you Unilocal $ 1.50 for a large thing of wiper fluid and $ 1.50 for a key wasn’t bad More of a trades people store than some clueless yuppie who just skidded his range rover into a ditch
