The staff is amazingly friendly and the art is simply awesome. From awesome pictures of bears serving coffee to some of the most unique chips and salsa bowls you’ve ever seen, I wish I had the checkbook to stuff my cupboards with all the kitchen bowls with this place has to offer. They have some amazing jewelry and again some very unique artwork. If you are in the downtown area of South Lake Tahoe near the state line you need to find this place and check it out because it is very unique.

I came across this store a few years ago. The owner, Rose, and her staff are very experienced, friendly, and helpful. They are also very active in the community and have offered me great advice on dining. The gallery has beautiful jewelry,(UNO jewelry), plus other unique styles. They also have beautiful art, unique candles, housewares, etc. I would highly recommend that you stop by. I visit the gallery every time we go up to Tahoe. It is located in Heavenly Village where there is plenty of parking.

I had the pleasure of finding the gallery on a recent visit to Tahoe. They had so many cool things to see I ended up spending over an hour in there. My dream is to someday have a vacation home in the Tahoe area and I now know this would be the first stop in dolling up the place! They really have a good feel for unique items. The staff was friendly and even offered great advice on a dining recommendation!

I love this place! Weather I want to re-decorate my home with original art, unusual furniture accents or find the perfect gift, this is my «go to» place! The staff is all super knowledgeable. If you inquire about any work of art you will likely here a story about the piece. This is very important to me, as I love to share these stories with my family and friends about the art that I have in my home. They have a wonderful variety of local artist and photographers as well as other artist hand picked by the owner. I have found the perfect gifts here, time after time! Along with the beautifully curated artwork, you’ll find one of a kind ceramics, housewares, scarves, jewelry(which I get for myself), gifts for men, candles that last forever and more. I highly recommend this gallery to art collectors far and wide or visitors looking for something unique. You won’t be disappointed! Since I come here often, I have the best time with the staff and find them to be professional yet fun! Thank you Pacific Crest Gallery! You’re the best! Oh, and don’t miss their events and art shows.

I have visited this gallery several times and have found their mix of art enjoyable. From Lake photography to paintings, photo-art and jewelry the mix changes with the seasons, so I make it a point to visit quarterly. I have always found this gallery to be very low key and friendly in their approach — unless they are super busy, you will always receive a warm welcome upon entering, along with asking if they can be of service. If you tell them that you are just browsing, then they will honor your implied request and let you take in the art in peace. I’ve seen other times when a staff member, having not greeted you due to dealing with other customers, will come to you and, along with asking if she can be of assistence, will take note of what you are looking at and volunteer information about the artist(most of whom are local). I’ve found this low pressure tactic to be delightful as it adds another level to my enjoyment of what’s on the walls.

For lovers of wildlife, nature and the stunning scenery of the Sierras, you can’t really find a better place to peruse some of the fantastic artists capturing the Tahoe basin and surrounding areas. The contents of this gallery run the gamut from Photography to Sculpture to fantastic oil and watercolor artists. They also have a gorgeous selection of home goods, including hand woven Zapotec rugs and gorgeous kitchenware. A great place to grab a classy host/hostess gift or a piece of gorgeous memorobilia of your vacation in Tahoe. The staff is friendly and attentive and full of useful and interesting information about their artists and Lake Tahoe itself. I love that this is an independently run and female owned business! So good to see local girls making good in Tahoe!

I live in the region and love coming to this gallery at least once per season to see what’s new and find something special for myself or a gift. The highly-experienced gallery owner, Rose, has exquisite taste in art, jewelry, and housewares while offering a range of items and prices for all budgets.(She is an active member of the community, too, and helps non-profit organizations.) Located in Heavenly Village with lots of other quality boutiques and restaurants, Pacific Crest Gallery has the most beautiful photography and paintings of Lake Tahoe and other scenic areas like Napa and Europe along with wildlife, botanicals, and portraits. The owner finds and mentors brand new talent as well, and her staff is instructed to allow customers time and space to find what they most love. The professional manager and staff are then always happy to answer questions on each artist or brand. They give the gallery the respect and care it deserves. In summary, I dare you to try and NOT find a piece of art, jewelry, or houseware you don’t want there! It won’t be easy if not downright impossible!

SMH, I wish I could give this place 0 stars. Being from Napa, I thought I had seen my share of snobby and stuck up women but I was proven wrong. Walking into this place, I had high hopes. Immediately after going through the door though, I was taken back by how absolutely RUDE these women were! I hope the owner(or whoever HR is) takes notice of the recent reviews and hires kinder ladies. I’m sure they will sell a lot more and maybe their unanswered questions as to why they aren’t turning profit will be answered.

I was visiting South Lake Tahoe and decided to check out the shops. When I walked in I noticed two women, one sitting and the other one leaning against the counter. They said nothing to me. This could be because the were too busy being extremely rude to a gentleman offering them a stay at the Peppermill. Instead of kindly telling him there is no soliciting here, they were very rude, embarrassing and cutting him off by saying are you going to tell me what your deal is? Then scolded him for soliciting! I guess there is a reason I was the only customer in there. I didn’t even get a chance to look at the art work because I was so offended for him. Horrible service but by the other reviews I guess that’s nothing new!

I purchased a photo on metal by Renae Sandberg from this gallery. It is absolutely exquisite and arrived in ready-to-hang condition. We’re looking forward to purchasing more from this talented artist. Great customer service.

We have been in the Gallery a number of times on visits to South Tahoe over the past few years. Rose and staff are extremely helpful, and thoughtful. We did not feel rushed to make a quick decision. After several visits, we recently purchased a fairly expensive Dunn-Harr from the gallery and there was one on display. Rose ordered a new one, and framed it exactly the way we wanted it. She is good to make suggestions on what will look good with the artwork, and in your setting. She shipped the item to us well packed, and just as we had anticipated. Our experience was very positive, and we would definitely shop there again. Jim and Sarah Peters

Rude rude rude staff!!! My husband and I went in to browse. We picked out a small decoration to purchase and continued to walk around. The cashier walked by us and asked if we needed help. We said no thank you, we are just browsing. Her response was quite snotty and condescending. We went to pay and she asked us «just a sign»? We should have put it down and walked away. We continued on and my husband pulled out his debit card. She then said you need to pay cash if it’s under $ 20. No apology or «sorry for the inconvenience but…» She then rang it up and barely said thank you. Now in contrast, the people before us purchased a piece of art and she was very friendly and welcoming. Just know, if you aren’t ready to throw down $ 500 for an 8″ x 8″ overpriced piece of art, you will be treated like the trash in their garbage!

I found a stunning photo of a waterfall in Emerald Bay of South Lake Tahoe. Liz spoke with me and she was relaxed, informative, and helpful with many other facts about the local attractions of Lake Tahoe. When I got home and saw that my canvas printed photo was scratched from the ride home. It was wrapped well and I took care to load it carefully one some cloth but somehow it still got damaged. I called Liz and she said we could take care of it. I shipped it back and am waiting for a replacement. Good customer service. Thanks
