Barely qualifies as a Mexican restaurant– no tequila, ran out of refried beans, and awful queso(awful food in general). We stopped by a Chevy’s afterwards to eat away our sadness. Great service though– hopefully a better place will hire them away.

Disgusting. Horrific. Nacho cheese is worse than the ball park out of squeeze cube. I must be eating Mexican in the back woods of Missouri. Oh wait it’s California. Absolutely terrible!!! Don’t go here.

We just had drinks at the bar, no liquor so they make a wine-arita which was not too bad

Poor service, food was mediocre. No, actually it doesn’t deserve to be on a plate. Not only do you get gross, bland food, but the prices are higher than usual Mexican restaurants. I ordered the Mexican pizza which I believe changes every day. That day it was black beans and chicken pizza. It comes out drenched in black beans, barely no cheese, the dough itself was soggy because of how much black beans was on top. I ate one piece and threw the rest out. This place used to be Wolfgang Puck Express where pizza was the specialty. They have a pizza oven in the restaurant so I think just so they can take advantage of that oven, they decided to make Mexican pizzas too. Well, that idea should be trashed.

A very pleasant surprise! Although it does not look like a place that would have high quality food, everything we trued tasted great, sangria was perfect, great service, quick and friendly. Also, very well priced.

Dinner was good, but not excellent. The chips and salsa was ok, but the flavor of the salsa did grow on me. I had the chicken enchilada with green sauce, and it was spicy but I liked it like that. It was not cold like other reviewers have stated. They make it like a lasagna instead of rolled which is different. The servers were fast and very friendly. I was worried when I read the other reviews, but our experience was fine… which leads me to believe this place must be hit or miss.

This place is by far the most disgusting Mexican food I have ever had. My husband brought me back and bean, cheese and rice burrito from this place to eat before we headed out for the night. BIGMISTAKE. I would rather starve than eat anything from this place ever again! If it were possible to give zero stars, I would! First off, they charge extra to add rice to the burrito. What Mexican food establishment does that?! Rice in a burrito is customary. Second, the worst beans I have ever had in my entire life. Last time I checked, refried beans have never required oregano. The beans were also spoiled. It smelled & tasted sour and disgusting. I should have known better than to have Mexican food in Lake Tahoe. NEVERAGAIN!!!

Had a group dinner here while on vacation to Lake Tahoe. Little did we know, we were walking into an empty restaurant at 8pm.(Bad sign?) Service was prompt to say the least. We all had chips and salsa for apps and then each person ordered individual meals. I had the Mexican Shrimp Salad, which was huge. My only gripe was that the shrimp were pretty small. In fact, although it looked like there were a lot of shrimp on the plate, each shrimp was cut in half lengthwise, so it really wasn’t much at all. Not only that, but they were pretty bland. Overall the salad was okay, and the dressing was overly sweet. Our server was nice and had no problem splitting the checks up at the end of the meal.

Pretty lousy establishment. Service was poor and the food quality wasn’t that great. Would recommend going to Chevy’s instead. For some reason, felt drafty and cold, and the seating was awkward.

Prices are reasonable for the village, food is decent, and service is good. Beers are ice cold and served in chilled pint glasses. Come 2−6pm for $ 3 beers, $ 4 margaritas, and $ 5 Pepper’s poppers(fried chili peppers stuffed with cheese and spices). Also, small soft tacos are $ 1.50 all the time. The basa filet tacos are decent. Did I mention the complimentary basket of chips and salsa? Very cool!

Stopped in here on a recent trip to Lake Tahoe with my family. The restaurant was in the courtyard between the Marriott’s Timber Lodge and the Marriott’s Grand Resident Club. There are several tables outside where you can dine if the weather is nice. They have firepits outside for you to huddle around during the winter which is a nice treat. Since we were in between meals, my husband and I decided to share a quesadilla appetizer and chips and guacamole. I was less hungry than the hubs so I only had a few bites of the quesadilla. I thought the service here was great. Our waiter stopped in on us several times even though lots were dining here. Considering our bill was less than $ 20, I appreciated that. This looks like a fun place to come at night… when we walked by at night, lot of people were hanging around the fire pit sipping on drinks. I would definitely come back here.

Great customer service! All their servers and front desk were super friendly and accommodating. While waiting for our table(for 8 adults and 4 children). They brought complimentary salsa and chips and for the kids something to draw while waiting. The kids and adults were occupied while waiting! I didn’t try any of their food as I was still full from lunch but our friends all enjoyed their fajita, burrito and enchilada. Hubby and I ordered dessert(flan and churro ice cream). For their dessert part it was delicious. All our friends said that they very much enjoyed their food and all the kids clearly liked their food as they cleared their plates. The price for their food is very reasonable. You should check this place out, totally worth it!

We came here on a slow day anticipating it was still a Wolfgang Puck Express, so we were kind of disappointed at first but decided to give Pepper’s a try. Upon entering, we got a friendly greeting by all the staff. Our waiter was super attentive and I think the manager/owner was there and he was also helpful and very friendly. The décor was very warm and inviting and the booth we were seated at was very comfy. There was a cute little bar area and the drink menu looked super enticing although we did not try any beverages this time. We order some nachos which was delicious and a few other things. The portions were HUGE and a burst of flavor in each entrée. The entire time, the service was great. We felt our business was greatly appreciated here and the food was worth the money. We will be going back!

GREAT salsa! $ 3 beers at Happy Hour… I had the Al Pastor taco & shrimp mango taco with rice and beans. The Al Pastor OMG!!! Flavor packed and crispy on the edges… yum! The shrimp was super tangy with the mango and cooked perfect. the tacos were loaded with meat. I liked all the choices they give you instead of beans you can have grilled veggies. Service is fast and friendly. Go here! You won’t be sorry. :)

pretty good food. my favorite part of the meal was probably the nachos appetizer. i ordered a chicken tortilla soup and i was a little disappointed in the size. 2 in our group split a burrito, and i split the enchilada plate with another person. the free chips and salsa were also great! servers were nice although sometimes forgetful, so we’d have to ask for things multiple times. we sat outside because the weather was great but the downside was that the wind would keep blowing the fountain water toward us and that was rather unpleasant.

A pretty cookie-cutter American Mexican joint betwixt the shops neer the gondola. The fruit bowl was, however, delectable. i will be stealing the idea and recreating it at home. I mean tropical fruits with salt and paprika and lime juice? YUM!

Great food and friendly service. 1.50 tacos are amazing definitely try the Al Pastor, or Tinga chicken, and ice cold Corona’s for $ 4.00. We also tried the steak and shrimp fajitas and it was enough for two people! Decent prices compared to surrounding locations with beautiful outside seating and Dog Friendly!

Great service and Wine Margarita, I was so dissapointed with the food. I ordered Tortilla soup and it had the worst flavor ever, the Salad I ordered was also not good. My kids loved their burritos but mom was truly disspointed.
