Awesome authentic little place! Had carnitas burrito. Perfect for swinging in to grab a quick bite away from the hustle and bustle of the main drag. Super good food and a great price!

Like this place not pretentious. Makes a solid sandwich. Kind of cold to sit outside. Only outdoor seating.

One of the best Mexican places I’ve ever eaten at. Burritos as good or better than the Mission District in SF or those in San Diego. Nachos that put others to shame. And tacos that are near perfect. For the price, quality, and service I wouldn’t choose another place in Tahoe. I will come here every time I’m in South Lake Tahoe.

This is the best fast Mexican food in the basin. I travel a lot and when I come home I hit this place up to satisfy my craving for Mexican food. The super burritos are great, Tortas, can’t go wrong with them either. The super nachos are also delicious. I have yet to try the fish tacos, cause I am always craving the burrito/nachos, yet I bet they are just as good. The place is close to the casinos, so give the place a try, you will like it.
This place rocks! Drive by a few taco places just to go here. Out of the way but the food rocks. Great flavos and great prices. Hard to find but keep looking. Worthy of looking!!!

This place earns the stars for where it is and what it is. It’s a very short walk from Harvey’s or Harrah’s casino. The owner is a full blown 5 star experience alone. SLT has always been limited in dining quality when it comes to the intersection of quality and price. There are so many places in the area that charge too much for mediocre food. Then there are the places that charge way too much to a decent meal. Sure there are exceptions but this place is on point for a quick quality bite at a very fair price. I asked if I could do a 2 meat combination super burrito. The owner, who was also taking my order, said to me, «who is this for?». I replied it was for me to which he answered, «well than of course I can do that!». At that the order was completed and the lady in the kitchen got busy on the order. This a take out establishment with a few tables out front. It was a day after a decent snow fall but the patio had been cleared. I waited for my order as the breeze blew clumps of snow all around me. Even at that I opted to eat my meal right there. The super burrito was a very ample size and filled with delicious well seasoned tender meat. A nice little touch was the grilling of the burrito to give the tortilla a nice crunch. Well worth the stop and a definite repeat next time I am in the area and craving some quality home-style Mexican food cheap, easy fresh and tasty!

Just ate there and it was good. For a tourist destination the prices are good but even better was the proximity to Big Pines Lodge. I do recommended if you want some quick Mexican food. I had the super burrito and it was very tasty. My friend had the fish taxes also tasty. The service was also quick.

This place is super good! My boyfriend and I went here and got some burritos and tacos. Not only was the food wonderful but the service was also amazing. He was very accommodating and kind! No it’s not a sit down restaurant but they have tables outside with heaters. I will definitely come back here :)

The burritos were mediocre, but I would probably give their tacos a try next time. The burritos were big and generous. We came pretty early because we wanted to grab something before heading back home and the other place we wanted to go to wasn’t opened yet. There wasn’t really a spot to park at the time, so the boyfriend just doubled park and went to order. He came back to the car to wait a bit before the food was ready. I think it was the owner who greeted him while walking up to the window to order and he was so kind to walk over to the car to give us our food in the end. When we come back to the area, I’ll be sure to try their taco out even though we have a favorite taco spot already. I want to give this place another chance just because… good vibes

So amazing. They will make your tacos however you’d like. Can you also say affordable? They take pride in their food!

Okay tacos. SUPER cheap, which is awesome, but the tacos themselves are just okay. I got 2 tacos for $ 4.38, one asada and one pollo. The meats were cooked alright but a little flavorless. The taco as a whole was on the dry side — too much tortilla and not enough filling. The red sauce made them a little better though. Other things: — There’s a lot of other food on the menu too: tortas, tostadas, burritos, quesadillas, etc — Limited outdoor seating, so it’s meant to be taken to-go(especially in the winter) — Credit card minimum of $ 10 — Not sure what the hours are. I think they might close as early as 8pm. My group stopped by around that time one day and found it closed, but came back the next day around 7:30pm and they were still open. Overall, underwhelming food but good for a super quick, super cheap meal.

How strange and wonderful to eat fresh authentic Mexican food amidst the high sierra scenery of South Lake Tahoe. Super Tacos is a tiny hut tucked just off the main S. Lake strip, sandwiched between hotels. You might miss it if you blink. But for those seeking a simple, hearty, no-fills meal of tacos or menudo or a whole grilled fish, it’s worth seeking out. Order at the window from the sweet owner, grab a seat the picnic tables outside, and your dish will arrive with a smile in minutes. I was craving some healthy protein and the grilled pescado was perfect. A whole filet of white fish, grilled not fried, with a side salad. My buddy enjoyed a variety of tacos, lengua included. Simple, casual, rustic, and real. This is what Mexican food should be!

Someday in the future, technology will exist that allows us to reach through the TV screen(or computer screen, or screen surgically planted in our eyeballs) and grab what we want. We’ll be able to touch things on the other side, portal that new hover board or shirt or plate of tacos back to our current location, and we’ll have the immediate satisfaction and pleasure of having that thing we’re staring at. In the meantime, we’re constrained to the universe where distance matters. Imagine my delight, then, when I was staying but a half a block away from this taqueria and I was able to stop in for a late lunch without driving, teleporting, or waiting forever for delivery. Super tacos is an unassuming little shack a block away from the main road through S. Lake Tahoe, just over the California border. It’s a patio and a couple of people in the kitchen, and not much more. It has one of those order boards where each semi-translucent letter is placed on by one on the lined, plastic white signboard that hangs above the order window. After perusing that menu, I decided to see how super the tacos really were and ordered a lengua taco and the chicken variety. We grabbed a couple of waters(they sell bottled, so you may need to specify if you want tap and see if there’s a charge) and were seated in the shade of the building on a sunny Saturday afternoon. The setting is rad – it’s Tahoe, after all. I’m not going to quibble about shaky tables or outdoor seating. It was gorgeous. I should also note that the company was great. I was there with a work colleague and if there’s one thing I’ve re-learned recently it’s that people I work with are bright, kind, talented, and I’m truly amazed by them. So as we say there and the food came out, I was pretty much having a great Tahoe afternoon. The food? Not ground breaking. Simple Mexican food. There are a few more exotic things you might order – menudo on the weekends, fish fillets, and so on – but I thought the tacos were good. I’d go with the chicken again for sure, as the lengua was a little more mild than I’m used to. But there are a lot of things on the menu that merit more exploration. Here’s the bummer now, though: I had to leave beautiful Lake Tahoe and the proximity of my hotel, and I’m back here in Utah. And now all I want to do is reach through the computer screen and grab the California tacos I see here and go to town on them. Will someone invent the tacoporter already?

Went here based on a high overall Unilocal rating, but I was fooled. Despite the nice service, the food is extremely sub-par. My super burrito had no «super» traits, except for the level of disappointment I experienced. Little to no meat graced said burrito. Instead of an Al Pastor burrito, it was along the lines of a bean and rice burrito with a few other stuff that accidentally made it in. Maybe I’m spoiled by the food available in the Bay Area, as another reviewer of this location said, but this is definitely not a 4 star burrito spot as suggested. I don’t think I’ve had a burrito this disappointing in my life.

Came across this little place while on a rest break from the RTO. This little hole in the wall is super convenient right behind the Harveys hotel. In between the Blue Jay Hotel and the Big Pines hotel off Cedar Ave. The staff was very friendly. Seemed to be a family run place. They only have outdoor seating. Their menu is pretty simple with tacos, burritos, tostadas and tortas with a variety of meats. Carnitas, pastor, asada, lengus, pierna, pollo. Had the asada tacos and quesadilla and the no meat tostada. The meat is very tasty. Tacos come with guacamole on them. A great little place to grab some homemade Mexican food.

My 82 year-old mother in law insisted on covering the tab for the 6 of us on my wife’s birthday. The guy behind the window charged her $ 2 apiece for 5 glasses of tap water not bottled, tap water. That’s really uncool. I didn’t learn about it untill after we were gone. The food was mediocre if you have ever had the good Mexican food from an establishment that cares about the art of cooking. The red hot sauce was week. The green was only passable. The Carne Asada was bland and the lingua Taco was over boiled and tasteless. It gets high marks from many who don’t know what the read deal is supposed to taste like. This was washed out over boiled and under loved food only slightly better than Taco Bell.
