I had been having an issue with my car not starting for a while. I managed to get it to the shop after talking on the phone with Rusty about what it could be. He was super cool and quickly found the problem to be a bad battery. He took care of my car the second I got there. He spent probably a half an hour working on my car and only charged me for a battery. I highly recommend Rubicon Moon and will definitely be returning for any mechanic work that I need done in the future.

Rusty is awesome. I’ve taken my Subaru to him several times. He’s super friendly and does a good job. I would recommend him to anyone. He’s very knowledgable and does honest, efficient work :)

Best service in town. Especially with Subaru and 4 wheelers. ASE certified. my whole family go there mow. Nice owner too! Did my head gaskets for cheap. less than any other quote I got in town.

We had a great experience here!
We were on a road trip from the Bay Area when our car started leaking coolant like crazy. As it was a Saturday afternoon and everything in Tahoe is closed on Sunday, we were frantically driving around trying to find some help with no luck. At around 4pm, we happened upon Rubicon Moon Automotive & these guys literally saved our car. The engine was over-​heating and by the time we turned it off in front of their garage, it wasn’t going anywhere else. The radiator was completely busted.
Rubicon went completely out of their way to help us (they weren’t even open when we stumbled upon them), called everyone in town looking for a radiator for us and even drove us to our cabin as we no longer had a car. They even organized to have someone go all the way to Reno to pick up a radiator for us, at no extra charge.
Great rates, EXCELLENT service. And months later, my car is still running great! If I lived in the area, these would be my guys! 200% recommended.
