Decided to take a break from a run and browse the store. They were very friendly and appeared to have a lot of gear in stock. Its easy to miss this store, as its entrance is on the 2nd floor, next to Heavenly’s Gondola.

This place rocked! I had looked all over town for a particular replacement item for my board and these guys came through big time! Highly recommend this place for friendly and knowledgeable service.

Bad customer service My family was at the store today between 7:05 and 7:20 pm. We saw two ladies were working there and there were a few customers at that time. At the register, my husband has been standing more than ten mins. for their help. One of staff members who was close to the register ignored us all the time and kept helping a customer to select a jacket for her. Therefore, my husband tried to ask for a help to another staff member. When he approached to her, she also ignored him and disappeared to exactly the opposite hall way from him. After all, we had to leave the store without buying any item. They treated us like invisible people. There was no possibility that they couldn’t see us. If they were busy, couldn’t they at least ask us to wait? I do feel they intentionally ignored and discriminated us. It was a very disappointing experience. JK

Was in tahoe last week and had major boot issues.(FU adidas, stay out of snowboarding) Got hooked up with«josh“who helped me out in a bind. He knew exactly what width/flex would fit my foot and brought out a ton of options. After trying on boots from multiple brands for nearly an hour, I left a with a pair of last years 32TM two boots at a great price that seemed like they might be too small, but ended up being PERFECT. Probably the most comfortable boots I’ve ridden in 15 years at a great price. The place WILL get you set up for all your shred needs. A must stop if you need gear while in South lake.

This place is awesome. They have all the nice stuff at not the tourist price but normal pricing! Laura and Maureen are so nice and helpful! And usually gorgeous ladies aren’t so friendly, but these two are very kind. Josh is very nice too. I highly recommend a visit!!!

Customer service = mind blown. ‘Nuff said. PJ holding it down, I’d let him wax my board any day.

Outstanding selection of boarding stuff. They’ve got the goods, for sure. Laura was especially helpful and friendly. Go here if you wanna check out stylish schred-wear or need a new stick. Oh yeah, and its stuff is, surprisingly, reasonably priced, which I find pretty weird considering how close it is the Heavenly gondola.

Excellent rental equipment, great folks behind the counter. I went for top-line demo gear and was very impressed; boots were brand new and molded perfectly to my feet, board was in great condition, bindings were top notch. Two thumbs up, I’ll be back.

Super friendly staff with no attitude at all. I’ve been to some surf and ski shops where you can feel the amount the customer service reps loathe you for being someone who only makes their sport a hobby and not a lifestyle. Not felt here. Staff was knowledge, friendly, and approachable. Go and demo a new set up here and it will count against a purchase price should you decide to buy. Yes, that is normal, but here the prices are not blown out of proportion to recoup the 50% profit margin. Did some research online and after my demo the purchase was a good 20% less than Sport’s Basement. Off the beaten path near the Gondola(which sounds like an oxymoron) and above the North Face store and Stateline Brewery. Worth the trip upstairs.

I stopped here with the intention to just browse, but ended up leaving with the Nike Vapen’s in Bold Berry. Love! One of the guys there was super duper helpful. He took time to explain everything about the boot. It was my first time visiting this store, and I’m sure it won’t be the last. They carry just about everything you need for the mountain and it’s the brands that I love — Volcom, Burton, 686, etc… all around great store! And I just realized that I got 10% off my purchase. Pretty sweet.

I cannot wait to start using my new Salomon boots and Union bindings, which I just snagged here at a discount! It seems that their selection of women’s gear was a little better than their local competition’s even though it is the end of the season now. Their store is located right above The North Face. I’ll surely be checking this place next time for other gear.

Nice location. Above a restaurant/bar. Also next to an alpaca store. This place screams true retail store and contained a lot of Burton items. The gals at the counter were friendly, greeting us right when we walked in. I’d return if/when I’m looking to buy a novelty item. Apparently, rental equipment is available here. I’ll see what they have for board demos next time I’m in town.

Rented a board here last weekend after my much loved Santa Cruz ASR finally bit the dust. The guys at the shop put me on a Burton Custom that was perfect for the conditions. They set me up with a rad set of goggles and seemed to be all around cool guys. I will be going back until I find a board that I want to buy.

Out roaming around, ironically looking for a Rome Slash in 160 cm to demo, I spy The Boarding House from out in front of the Flatenly… errr…Heavenly Village. Or Shopping center, really. You can’t call the Heavenly village(note the little«v») a village after you’ve been to the Whistler Villages built around real mountains in true Village(big«V») style. Either way, Alex set me up with a sick shred stick, my long lusted Rome Slash in a 160! Their demo program is through so I’m glad I did it in person. I had to get bindings with them so I got Cartels, which I’ll always hate due to the toe ramps, crappy toe caps that always slide and slop in the bindings as a whole. For $ 39 it was cheaper than anywhere else in Tahoe for a top end board and they carry wide boards to ride. Prices were on par with my local shop in San Jose(Boarder Nation, ) so some good deals to be had. Lots of gear here, but one of the sales girls was just flat out rude. All the guys were cool and super knowledgeable, so nab one of them if you’re looking for gear. I’m still up in the air on the Rome after riding it, the«almost twin» shape is «almost» good, not sure it’s for me. But when I’m in Tahoe again, I’ll be calling on these guys to see what they have for me to demo.
