Great apple picking! We went here over the weekend and LOVED it. They are not open on Saturdays so plan accordingly(they are 7-day Adventists and Saturdays are their holy day). It was very busy on Sunday, but we had a great time. It’s beautiful and huge. They have a petting zoo, tons of animals, live music, a café/grill, a bakery with fresh apple cider donuts(yum!), hayride and more. We had a groupon for $ 17 for a HUGE bag of apples and hayrides for 5. Everyone we encountered was very friendly. It was a very pretty drive too.

Stopped by George Hill Orchards for the first time after purchasing a groupon last month. This is a hidden gem in Clinton and is only 20 – 30 minutes from Worcester, Shrewsbury, Westborough and Marlborough. They have an awesome petting zoo, cider doughnuts, food, hayrides and tons of different apples, peaches and blueberries. The staff is super helpful and have been around for years.

I love this orchard for pick your own. The hayrides are free with the purchase of a pick your own bag, they have lots of animals for the kids, the apples are low-spray, and it’s not that crowded. It really is the best of everything!

I thought this orchard was absolutely beautiful, as well as charming and scenic. I went on a group function here which ended up being $ 4 for a ¼ peck, including a sample of cider and donuts, and a hayride that takes you past their farm animals(goats and sheep). They also had a little maze for kids. The orchard is very spacious with lots of room in between trees. We went when there were plenty of Macouns, Cortlands, and MacIntoshes. Galas were almost gone. Parking was easy on their land. Friendly staff.

I wish I could review this orchard. But after driving all the way out there on a Saturday– we found they are not open on Saturdays??? This fact alone makes it a negative for us. But it looked interesting and the drive was beautiful!

took the preschool here on a field trip. It was fun for them and for me. Lots of apples and they let you wander around and pick. It’s nice to have the freedom to walk around and pick them where you wish. The apples are never sprayed with pesticide so you can pick them right off the tree and eat them. The apples were delicious. The apple donuts and the cider were delicious as well. They have baby animals to feed and apparently they have a pumpkin patch and pears to pick in the summer. Definitely worth visiting!

This is a great orchard!!! I went here for my birthday for a day of apple and pumpkin picking! The prices were reasonable and we didn’t have to pay an entrance fee like at some other places(I’m looking at you, Lookout Farm!!). We paid $ 25 for a ½ bushel which came out to be about 25 lbs after I weighed it at home. There is a hayride to take you out to the orchard and there are so many varieties of apples to please everyone… red delicious, crispin, gala, McCoun, some I’ve never even heard of before! In warmer months they also have peaches, blueberries and other fruits to pick. Pumpkins were only .40/lb. so of course I had to buy four(two small, one medium and one large) and it only came to about $ 7!!! We also has apple cider donuts, cider and packed our own lunch which we ate at the picnic tables. They also have a petting zoo, pony rides and other attractions. As it turned out a lot of other people went apple picking the same weekend as me and had mediocre experiences… in East Bridgewater where there were hardly any apples left on the trees and super $$$ and one in Stow that was okay, but didn’t sound as nice as George Hill. I guess this place had the right idea by naming their website . One last cool thing, if you go during the week you can get a whole bushel of apples for $ 9!!! The catch? They have to be ones that have already fallen off the tree. With so many apples in my kitchen I foresee a lot of pie-making in my future! Go, enjoy, and support a local farm! Cash or Check only.
