Washed my hair before going, but when I sat in the chair, the woman taking care of me said my hair is greasy!
I told her I wanted a professional haircut and she looked at me like I had 3 heads. So i said I wanted something I could pull into a ponytail, but also wear down and look put together.
She said that if I wanted layers, she would have to shampoo my hair; I find that hard to believe. I told her I didn’t want it washed again so I did not get layers.
I didn’t have a picture, but described that I wanted bangs that don’t look childish. When she got to cutting my bangs, she said they wouldn’t be even with the rest of my hair… um, that’s why they’re bangs!
She seemed really hesitant to cut bangs into my hair, asking me so many questions like I was her teacher!
I got sick of it so I just didn’t get bangs.
Rinsed off all the excess hair when I got home. I have strands that are longer than the rest of my hair!
So done with this place!

Usually they are really good with their online check-​in system to save people time but today was not one of those days. The system wasn’t allowing check-​ins from before so we called ahead of time to make sure there wasn’t a big waiting list and the lady on the phone confirmed it.
When we got here, not only was there a huge waiting list but it was standing room only and people were lined up to the door still waiting to check themselves in.
In short: when the online check-​in system fails… this place can become standing room only with a waiting line out the door.

I went here a long time ago. I used to not go to salons bc my hair is very long and I usually just need a trim. So why pay salon prices for that? Well this trip is what made me start going to a salon. I asked for a trim, maybe an inch. My hair was probably past my shoulder blades at that time. I came out with my hair touching just past my shoulders. Not a one inch trim. More like 5 inches. Now with that said, my hair looked okay, but it was not what I asked for at all.

Each one is different… and this one really sucks.

Did the online check in thing. Said I was next! We were not from the area (visiting Rutgers) and drove right there.
Bottom line: Either they don’t know how to work that system or they just wanted to call on all their regulars who were sitting there (place was packed when I got there, but online said I was next). In their defense, a beligerant customer bullied his way into being taken ahead of me because they didn’t want a scene. That’s when i walked out.
Really, really bad management. Went down the road and had a great experience at the one on Route 18 (see my review).
