Stopped in for lunch. We had the clams and they were delicious. However with only 4 tables in the entire dinning room, service was super SLOW. The young waitress took about 40 minutes, am serious how long can a Medium burger take to cook??? The amount of time we waited for our lunch was ridiculous. Even if she forgot to out our order in she could at least apologized. Waitress was not attentive at all, they were simply sitting in the dinning room relaxing. My burger was well done and she didn’t even come to check how everything came out. While we eat our lunch no servers seemed to be around, I had to flag down another waiter to ask our waitress for the check. Very disappointed, not sure if I would go back. As for me good service its a must to a good dine in experience.

Been here handful time since it opened. I am overall please with their service and food offering. We had garlic mussel appetizer, 2 lobster pot and berry pie? with ice cream as desert. Overall it was okay, but we were not really filled. Too salty for many things. I am not sure why they use so much salt. We also had 2 raw oyster which was $ 1 each. Little pricey for what we got.

The service at this location was very good! So was the food! Finally was able to try the place out and it was a success! No bad experience at all! Will definitely come back!

This place is great if you want to serve liquor to minors. The kids would never get drunk. And the manager is rude for the price you pay for dinner. She’s not hearing any complaints about the drinks. Drinks are weak. Red Lobster up the road has better drinks.

We were in the mood for good food but didn’t really want to dress and pay $ 35.00 for a trendy entrée. What we needed was comfort food so we went to Joe’s crab shack. We arrived early on a Friday night and did not need to wait for a table. We got a booth that could seat 6 for the three of us. The place is very casual, including the wait staff but the service level is always excellent.
We shared the great balls of fire appetizer which is sort of a jalapeño popper with seafood mixed in the filling. Not bad. I had the Voodoo Queen crab boil. Queen crab is just the larger snow crab and it was served with a spicy seasoning with orange and accompanied with corn on the cob pieces, boiled red potato, sausage and johnny cakes and a dressing on the side which were all good. I was supposed to get macaroni salad but someone omitted it. My wife had the Crab Daddy feast with an ear of corn and boiled potatoes. She enjoyed the king crab but she could not distinguish the queen crab from the snow crab but said one of her crabs did not taste very fresh. My son had the beer battered fish and chips, shrimp and scallops. He said it was okay but he has had better fried fish. We ordered key lime pie and sea turtle sundae desserts which were good but not great. Overall Joe’s is a very good chain seafood restaurant but freshness issues, small mistakes and inconsistency keep me from giving it five stars.

Hat the Atlantic pot with lobster, snow crab, shrimp and corn. It was not as good. Service was one of the best I have had anywhere.

Just stopped in for a few drinks after dinner, so I cannot comment on the food. As we entered the building we were greeted by a group of very happy employees with big smiles and laughter. That sets a good tone. The décor reminded me of places I’ve been in places like Louisiana and the Carolinas, We sat in the bar, and both the server and the bartender were eager and fun. The drinks were just beer and wine. If there was music playing it was very low volume, and the crowd was light so our little group were easily able to talk and share stories. Next time I’ll have dinner…

Absolutely disgusting. I had shit coming out of my lobster and they did nothing to fix it !!! I’m a waitress and hate being«that guy» but come on! The waitress just replied«oh wow I’ve never seen anything like that!» Did not even offer us another lobster or to take it off the bill. Never going here again! Too bad I used to love this place.

Feasting time!!! Definitely, not a place to go for first date! However, everything we ate was Delish!!! Began with drinks — lots of options for draft beer and perfectly executed drinks. Had the Coronita Rita! As far as appetizers can’t go wrong with crispy calamari for starters(everyone’s got to cheat days after hard week)! It was crispy & fresh and not as oily as some places. For main course, had the KJ steampot, with boiled potatoes and corn on cob! Because we shared, we also ordered side of lobster. Let me tell you, the tail meat, drizzled with warm melted butter was heaven in my mouth! This is defiantly a place to go! The service from waiter was on point, music and vibe was lively. Almost everyone was enjoying!

Pretty good happy hour special from 4−7pm. Bartender gave us a pretty good deal. Put in our 8 drinks 10 to 7pm so we still got the happy hour special. She was cool !!!

I thought the food was rather ordinary but my wife loved her dish, one of the steamed pot dishes with crab legs, so in deference to her I am giving the place 4 stars. Besides, the young lady who served us was terrific too. We started off with the sampler appetizer that consisted of a very good crab dip called the Crazy Good Crab Dip, the crispy calamari and some kind of crab/seafood ball called Great Balls of Fire that was actually pretty bland and over-fried. In fact, while the calamari was tasty and fresh, it too was too heavily breaded. Next time, I would stick to just the dip. I don’t like to fight with my food so the steam pots were not an option and I try to avoid ordering fried fish or seafood as an entrée. So, I had a Caesar Salad served with a crab cake with Chipotle dressing. It was a large dish so it was plenty filling. Taste-wise, it was just OK. I enjoyed it but didn’t love it. As previously mentioned, the Mrs. loved her steam pot and I got to taste the sausage in it and it was pretty good too. Also, liked the hush puppies… again too much fried food. To me, really a 3 star place but I love my wife and respect her opinion so the 4th star.

Went to Joes Crab Shack last night about 9 o’clock pm place was packed and busy but there were lots of empty tables that just needed to be cleared. I put our name down(party of 2) and sat in the waiting area. Unfortunately after 25 minutes I went to check and the host could not find our name on her a little tablet and told me to give her another 25 minutes We were already hungry and was looking forward to trying this restaurant we heard so much about… we were too tired and hungry so we left… looks like a fun place to eat I will try to return if I’m in the area again but unfortunately I never got inside to enjoy the food.

*Must Try: Bean Town Bake. Two whole Lobsters with one pound of Clams and Shrimp, Smoked Sausage, and Corn on the Cob. *the steamed pot is meant for two pple, but it’s so good I devoured one all by myself. *Raw Oysters are fresh and delicious! *Popcorn Shrimp is good. *Chicken Tenders are hand breaded, with tender white meat. Comes with honey mustard sauce, cole slaw, and fries. Surprisingly superb for a seafood restaurant. *very attentive and cool server and hostess.

A very typical joes, not much to say about the food, nothing to wow over. I think I will stay away from joes for awhile. Usually the staff is very attentive, but we got a waitress that was missing most of the time. Hardly check up on us, and it wasn’t even busy!

Highs and lows Waiting time(Saturday evening) moderate. Female bartender(is the term still barmaid?) Mature looking lady, her service was awful, she gave grumpy cat a run for his money. The only thing she didn’t say is «you’re bothering me and I’m here but it’s my day off»…*sighs* Waiter(I think his name was Mike) was a gem, he had a lot of tables but he was attentive enough. I’m not a cocktail lover so don’t take this part of my review into much consideration but I think the margaritas are to die for. *reviewing from the grave* Food was tasty but not enough. They filled my bucket with potatoes and corn and it was hard locating the KING *shakes head* crab, mussels and shrimp. When I found them they were tasty. The staff was very entertaining every 15 mins or so with their choreographed performances and dinners had fun joining in. I won’t come here for a romantic evening no matter how much of a seafood foodie I am, but the atmosphere overall was jovial, fun and exciting. Oh and don’t forget to purchase your funky, colorful staff tees… I didn’t…purchase.

(2.5 stars) Was not expecting much from a chain restaurant, but was hoping they would prove me wrong. The whole experience was just so lackluster, right from the ambience, to the service, to the food. Firstly the food. I thoroughly enjoyed the crab dip with chips. The creamy dip was my favorite part of the meal. The husband got the Bucket Of Crab in a Spicy Boil sauce and I can confidently say that it was the best dish on the table. He dug into it with relish and enjoyed his meal and said it was good; the sauce was fiery and the crab was fresh. So far so good. The rest of us struggled with our entrees — the Crab Cake Dinner and the Caribbean Feast. The Caribbean Feast comprises of coconut shrimp, shrimp in a smoky chipotle sauce, a fillet of Mahi Mahi served with white rice and seasonal vegetables. Everything was so off about this dish in terms of its flavor, even though it didn’t look too bad. The coconut shrimp wasn’t crunchy, the smoky chipotle shrimp had zero taste, though it was reasonably fresh and the mahi mahi wasn’t the freshest fish by far. The veggies were strictly okay. The portion was huge, can be easily shared by two people. The crab cakes weren’t too bad, but I’ve had better. For a Saturday night, the service was as bland as my dish. Ranging from completely inattentive to disinterested, our servers were absent for long periods, forgot about our existence frequently and looked distracted and bored in general. I’m going to say this place is good for decent crab on a budget. For overall seafood, Red Lobster does a pretty decent job for a chain. All in all, we paid $ 50 per head, which may not be steep for a sea food place, but certainly wasn’t cheap either. Left feeling pretty unenthused about the entire experience.
