I want to first mention that I saw A LOT of bad reviews for this Red Lobster but still decided to give it a chance but boy was I wrong. So I called Thursday night to make a reservation for Friday night at 7pm for 3 people, feeling that it will be packed at around that time. Girl on the phone was very nice and told me that I’m all set for FRIDAY night at 7. My friends and I excitedly drive over to Red Lobster on an empty stomach. When we walked in, we saw a lot of people in the waiting area. Thinking to myself that it was smart of us to make a reservation, I go up to the front and tell them I made a reservation for 7pm. They check and tell me there was no reservation made and so I tell them I made the reservation yesterday. They then tell me that they only take reservations on the same day. If that’s the case, why wasn’t I told that over the phone when I was making the reservation? I could have easily called the next day to make the reservation. They then told us we had to wait 20 minutes. We were furious and left. Never coming to this Red Lobster again. Complete waste of our time and it could have been avoided.

Horrible service on Valentine’s Day. I called around noon to put an order in for takeout to pickup around 5:30. The individual that I spoke with over the phone suggested that I call back around 5PM so that my food wouldn’t get cold. I called back at 5PM as she suggested and then was told that they couldn’t promise that my food would be ready by 5:30PM and that they would call when my order was ready. I showed up at 5:45PM and was told to wait for my food. I had to rush out around 6:10PM because I had guests waiting back at home for me therefore I just decided to wait for their phone call. That phone call never came so I decided to call around 8PM to see the status of my order(at this point it was getting ridiculous). I was then told that my order was in fact ready but cold because it had been ready for a while. The fact that they had not called as promised and took over an hour for the food to be read really angered me. The reason why I called around noon was so that they had enough time to put the order in at a timely matter and have it ready by 5:30PM. Needless to say, I will most definitely not be coming back to this Red Lobster ever.

A worst nightmare, bar tender was the most rude lady I have ever seen in my life. Lady at the reception wasn’t helpful either. I would highly suggest to watch out for the customer service and do yourself a favor by going somewhere else. I am sure, if they can see recording of the bar area, they’ll know how ‘helpful’ their staff is. Thanks for letting me write this post, as else I would only right positive comments!

Good. Bizcuitz. Bad. Everything else. We walked in and had a couple of senior citizens walk out. Those seniors will soon be walking out of this world after eating here but I didn’t have the heart to tell them. But no matter, I’m sure hell won’t be cruel enough to serve them this food again. Seated in the bar, near the senior citizen bar tender. These people LOVE seniors– maybe because they are too old to take them to court. Less than enthusiastic waiter came and took order begrudgedly. Maybe because we weren’t over 100 years old? Fried Calamari & Fried Broccoli(Yes, that’s right. THEYFRIEDTHEBROCCOLI): I don’t know what BP spilled ocean they grabbed this poor squid out of but this caused me to break out in rashes. I have had calamari from health code– failed Rutgers bars and this hasn’t happened to me before. ZERO out of 10 for calamari and ONE out of 10 for broccoli since it didn’t try to kill me. Mozzarella Sticks: Easy right? They’re on the kids’ menu in some places, for god’s sake. 10% cheese, 10% bread, 80% GREASE. I’ve always wanted pure oil for dinner before and this place did it. Maybe they should just get the Walmart Mozzarella sticks and throw them into the microwave. It can’t be any worse. Bizcuitz: Great job. ONLY saving grace. I can see why seniors love this place. Probably thinking: «Oh what the hell, I’m gonna die anyway.» But for anyone under the age of 70, I would recommend finding a new sea food establishment.

The food was average, as always the best thing were the biscuits, Red Lobster’s Cheddar Bay Biscuit wins the biscuit Award hands down. By the time I had eaten 2 biscuits & ½ of my salad I was too full to eat my entrée; however I tasted everything, the Lobster was good, the fried shrimp were soggy, they should have put them on a separate plate the way they did the Shrimp Scampi. As for the shrimp scampi, I’ve had better. The baked potato was good, the crab legs were okay, but the rice pilaf was horrible because it lacked flavor. Overall I give this meal a 3 out of 5 stars because of the soggy fried shrimp, thanks to the biscuits for saving the day!

Went here with two friends on a Sunday afternoon. The staff was nice, but I feel like corporate policies are in place and are in need of updating. Arrived, and was told there would be a 10−15min wait. Waited and got called up for a table within 5 mins. Went to go get seated with more than half the restaurant empty. They put all the customers in one corner instead of spreading them out over the whole seating area. The menu is ridiculously large and unorganized. They have smaller pages with specials, then daily specials, then a mix of appitizers, certain weekly speiclas, then sides on a random page, with wine and beer smack dab in the middle. Service is slow, having to wait 10 mins for our order to be taken, and still wait on drinks. The ONLY reason we came here is for cheddar bay biscuits. We live in New England where the seafood is top tier. No wonder this chain has disappeared from our area. Lack luster and trying to be an up scale place.

I went to this Red Lobster because it was on my way home from work(I work in Piscataway and live in Kearny, NJ). I was extremely disappointed. Before I moved I would go to the Red Lobster in Paramus, NJ and I always had amazing food. Decided to go to this Red Lobster today and I was mad that I paid so much for mediocre food. I went with my wife, our appetizers were decent, she got the crab fest sampler and the crabcake was really small and the stuffed mushrooms were really watery and I got the spicy sweet chili shrimp(one was undercooked) but it tasted good so we expected a good dinner. I got the Blackened Salmon Cajun style and my wife got the shrimp trio with a side of crab legs. First off, all the seafood was way overcooked. My salmon was bland and had the texture of an overcooked chicken breast but it had an OK flavor. I could only eat half because the other half was almost impossible to break with the fork and the texture was awful. The mashed potatoes we both received had obviously sat for a while because they had a sort of crust on top, regardless it tasted decent. The shrimp that came with my meal(salmon meal) was the highlight of this entrée, they were well seasoned and delicious. Also the asparagus was well seasoned and cooked but the broccoli was over boiled and tasted watery. My wife’s plate was a disappointment. The fried shrimp was good but the other two were overcooked and really tough. She got corn as an additional side and it was so overcooked that it was mushy. The shrimp alfredo that came with this dish tasted kinda funny and was too cheesy… The crab legs were the real disappointment. We paid over $ 12 for the crab legs and she got half of three king crab legs, HALFOFTHREELEGS for $ 12, and they were small for king crab. Overall, the food at this Red Lobster was a disappointment, almost all of our seafood was overcooked and it was bland. We will definitely not be coming back to this restaurant and will be making the trip to the Red Lobster in Paramus from now on. If I am paying 84 dollars the food better be good… The service was wonderful though, the waitress was very lovely and checked up on us often so we gave her a good tip but other than the service this Red Lobster is terrible. At the end of the meal we wished we went to the Chipotle nearby instead.

Had been to Red Lobster today for the first time. We went for seafood trios. The Cajun Alfredo chicken was nicely marinated and had a great taste. Hand breaded shrimp tasted good with sauce. The soy-ginger wood grilled salmon was my least favorite. I felt the fish was not properly marinated. But my husband liked it. Although the soy-ginger-pineapple flavor was relishing, I felt the fish lacked flavor. My husband had lobster Alfredo but he was not satisfied because of its high sodium content. He liked the coconut shrimp bites a lot, but I felt they were too sweet and tasted like coconut cookies. The French fries lacked salt and the dressing was too intense on the garden salad. The décor was okay, service was not too bad. The waitress lacked smile on her face but that was not a major drawback. I and my husband felt that the cheddar biscuits are over rated. I would prefer to eat the unlimited bread sticks at Olive Garden to these biscuits. If I want to compare Red lobster to Olive Garden greedily, I would give OG a star more!

My very special friend & I we r very pleased with the service @ Red Lobster in So. Plfd. the food is ok & I say that cause a few times I been there my potatoes weren’t all the way cooked or very dry that I could not eat but nothing other than that, the drinks r good the beer is nice & cold. It’s Red Lobster so it is wat it is. I’ve had a four or five pound lobster lots of times in five stars rest in NJ&NY. &REDLOBSTER3 lb. lobster was more like a 1 lb. but whatever the cost was low & they must not know any better. Also make sure they hammer your claws I had to take mine home & I took a MC hammer time to it .haha. we will go back.

This review is mainly based on service, as I think everyone who comes to Red Lobster knows it’s just your average chain restaurant food. After my family and I walked out of a nearby restaurant because of terrible service, we decided to try our luck at Red Lobster. Granted, my family comes here all the time because we have an unhealthy obsession with chain restaurants, but I felt this visit warranted a review. We got sat and immediately greeted; our waiter was friendly, enthusiastic, and not the least bit upset(at least from what he showed to us) that we just walked in 30 minutes before closing. That in and of itself deserves 10 stars. We ordered our food, and he was always attentive, bringing us new baskets of biscuits and refills on our drinks whenever we were running low. He kept us laughing with his jokes, which is a huge accomplishment for my FOB parents. We left happy and more than satisfied, so thank you, sir, for turning our bad Mother’s Day restaurant experience into an awesome one!

Went for lobster fest was so dissapointed. Grilled lobster tail was raw and the lobster Alfredo was disgusting best thing about the meal was the salad with the blueberry balsamic dressing. My server Alexis was so nice she felt bad and told the manager. He comped the meal ok so I didn’t eat ¾ of it so it’s the least he could do. Don’t know if I would go again. I try every few years but I am sadly dissapointed every time. Should have went to Joe’s

*Must Try: Shrimp and Scallops Alfredo.(Part of the four course meal for only ~$ 17. Choose a soup, salad, entrée, and dessert.) *Biscuits are fresh and absolutely amazing! *Two Apps of your choice for ~$ 9: Chicken Strips are good, Clam Strips are decent. *Mussels are plentiful. Comes with Garlic Bread. *New England Clam Chowder is okay. not the best, but not terrible. *Caesar Salad is fresh. *Caramel Cheesecake is delicious but kinda small. *our waitress, Danielle, was friendly and helpful.

They wouldn’t seat us, even on available tables. Their response when I asked was that the available table was for«decoration» use. Never heard of this before and was extremely annoyed to be kept waiting.

This location is pretty big and has alot of workers. we have been to this one about 4 times in the past 6 months .we all seem to agree that the other locations serve better food and have much better waiters. i got what was supposed to be fresh haddock I think it had been in the freezer all year and the potatoes had no flavor we couldn’t get drinks or biscuits .my wife had crab and linguine it wasn’t terrible except for all the shells she kept picking out which is a really big turn off especially when it feels like ur gonna break a tooth biting into shrimp. we have almost always seem to have a problem at this location between the wait staff not including the greeters and seater they’re always nice and the foods just always off at this one .this maybe the reason it’s not as packed as other locations .our recommendations are to go to anouther location or go down the shore for fresh seafood.

Food was good but apparently their system can’t recognize Red Lobster gift cards. Very frustrating and embarrassing when we were asked«are you sure the gift card has money on it?»

Took my parents here last night. I chose this location because it’s right off the highway and easy to find. The restaurant was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The food came real quick(we were there before the dinner rush) and was fresh and tasty but very salty. We ordered the crab lover’s trio, wood-grilled lobster, shrimp and scallop, and the admiral’s feast. It was definitely a lot of food, especially it all comes with salad and delicious biscuits. I also had a coupon for a free dessert so I took advantage of the Strawberry shortcake. The food wasn’t the best I’ve had but it was still pretty good for the price(Under $ 35 per person, tax n tips included) but again, very salty. My parents were very happy about the meal and so was I.

This location feels more low key than the Iselin location and usually has a shorter wait time too. I do prefer the ceasar salad and biscuits at the iselin location though. I like their strawberry piña coladas, the seafood trio with two portions of shrimp Alfredo, shrimp scampi and mashed potatoes. I also like their lobster bakes although I think the portion size is small for the amount of money you pay. Good choice after watching a movie across the street.

This place is HUGE. It actually went on forever in every direction. When we got there they told us it would be over an hour wait(there were 11 of us and they dont take reservations). But we really only waited about 20 minutes or so. While waiting, we went to the bar, which is not that big but the bar tenders work quickly and are extremely nice. This was the first time bar tenders introduced themselves to me and the party I was with. I had the house red which was delectable. Food: biscuits are DELICIOUS. But do not fill yourself up on them! You get so much food with most courses. As a table we split 2 nachos dishes(one with a dipping crab and cheese mix and another with cheese and crab already on it). Both were tasty and I am not a fan of crab. I got the bleu cheese steak with rice pilaf and green beans. It came with a salad(either caesar or house greens). I got caesar and enjoyed it. The green beans were doused in butter, but I should have assumed they would be, and the rice pilaf was probably also but they were both really good. The steak was pretty good, nothing special, but enough to satisfy my craving for steak. Service: The service was good, there weren’t many people there though. She brought over 2 pitches of watet for the table and kept the biscuits coming. She was nice enough to split all of our checks. Parking: the lot isn’t private, but there is enough parking for all the places and there are a lot of different lots in the area.

Came here for the 4 course sea food menu. The service was very friendly and quick but it may have been because it was a sunday at 12pm. Started off with the chicken tortilla soup and the ceasar salad. Both were subpar and there was nothing special. I ordered the chicken cajun pasta and that was average as well. The sauce was too heavy and oily. I could see patches of oil resting in my pasta. The dessert was probably my favorite as I got the caramel cheesecake. Good value for the amount you pay but nothing special.

This one is a big Red Lobster. They have a bar in the center of the restaurant. A nice big aquarium filled with lobsters. Nice waiting area to sit on. The lighting is nice too, not too dark, not too bright. Staff is attentive and very nice. They are well spoken as well. Biscuits here are always great! Complimentary so we kill about 4 to 5 baskets. 4 to 6 biscuits per basket. There was 6 of us at the time. We got mozzarella sticks, bruschetta shrimp, and calamari w vegetables. That was enjoyable. I got my usual jumbo coconut shrimp with side order of rice, and caesar salad. Awesome! Dessert, they have a new one called Cookie Lava Cake… SICK! with a side order of vanilla ice cream. I couldve had two of these.
