Pizza Stop is pretty good, but I strayed away from ordering from there for about a year now. Did an online order, which was fairly new at the time, and a lot of the stuff was messed up. Called to try and rectify the situation and it was pretty much told it was«my problem». I don’t know, with a bunch of other pizza joints in the area I would have either tried to rectify the situation with a correct order or maybe give a percentage off the order? I forgot what the statistic was but people are more likely to talk about a bad experience with friends then a good experience. I wouldn’t want to risk that if I was a business owner. I’d say Pizza Stop is probably #3 out of the pizza choices in S. Plainfield with Rodalphos and Carmens fighting the top for best pie. Pizza Stop has good food, but I just can’t order again on principal at least for a while. Recommend: The Conzoni Don’t Recommend: Online Ordering.

Stopped at Pizza Stop for the first time. This place is definitely old school Jersey pizza. The restaurant itself is pretty small, with only a few tables. No-nonsense interior and take out may be your best bet. The pizza is pretty much perfectly done, with a thin, even crust. Nice sauce, just the right amount and just the right amount of spice. Nothing worse than bland, too tomato-ey sauce. These guys know how to make a pie. The sandwiches are BIG. Get a half unless you are really hungry or sharing. Try the sausage parm — really good italian sausage with a nice bite to it. I will have to go back and try some other varieties, but Pizza Stop may be on the way to five stars.

Ok so three stars because it is an Italian place and not really a sub/salad shop. The sandwiches are ginormous if you get a large. Prices are good too. Hot sandwiches are good. Pizza and cazonis are good. Whatever fake slimy sandwich meat brand they use is gross. On a few occasions I have gotten a chef salad and a cold sandwich and the meat is gross every time. On the salad note I also ordered the«fresh» mozzarella salad. No dice. It was definitely cheese cut from a block and not the fresh moist mozzarella I’m used to. Didn’t like it at all. Long story short if you order from here stick to pizza or hot sandwiches.

So I’ve been to pizza stop a number of times now, and I have to say that their pasta dinners are fantastic. The chicken penne vodka is my hands down favorite. Their owner is a nice guy, the cazoni’s are great, but I do wish they had a broader single slice selection. If you’re in the area you should check em out.

This place is great for pizza and for dinners. Love their vodka sauce. Great place just to stop for a slice. Friendly service every time. I’d say this is a quintessential New Jersey pizza joint.

I was finally able to stop by here the other day. Its on the corner of Hamilton Blvd so its hard for me to park. Parking is not that big here. Theres alot of blind side coming out of this place. They pizza here is pretty tasty. Love the cheese and tomato sauce. Crust is not bad too. I enjoyed their chicken parm sub the most. Its all about the marinara sauce for me and how juicy their chicken is. These guys pulled it off. Nice staff, very friendly and gave me extra napkins for the mess i made.

This is my favorite pizza in South Plainfield. The ingredients are very fresh and the crust is nice and thin. The toppings are also very fresh. I’ve had their pi-zone and pizzas only but they are both great.

This place is unassuming and a throwback from old school pizza parlors. Looks wise its nothing to write home about. That said its probably in the top two best pizza places in the area. The by the slice pizza tastes like Brooklyn pizza from when Pizzas were actually made by someone of Italian descent. There’s a lot of NYC shops that just make your typical garbage NYC pizza, large slices using skim milk cheese because its cheaper. Everything is right with their pizza, the tip is a little floppy and the back end is crisp the sauce and cheese are of very good quality.

I have lived in south Plainfield for years and have always been a fan of pizza stop. The white pie is excellent as well as their chicken Parm! As for their plain pie… It’s nothing to write home about. The delivery is pretty quick and the driver Is friendly. When picking up from the place you will usually find yourself leaving with a cold pie… Not because of the cooking but because the staff and owner are so friendly that you get caugt up in conversation. All in all the place is fast, friendly and cheap!
