Heirloom Consignment

Visited Heirloom Consignment for the first time today. Staff is congenial and well-​informed. Although our focus was on selling, there appeared to be good range of merchandise for sale at reasonable prices. I expect to return, and hope to add a star with once we have done some business.

Heirloom Consignment has a really nice selection of high quality consignment furniture and I would love nothing more than to say I’d be a frequent customer. Unfortunately, the owner and what I think was her husband didn’t ask if I needed any help or if there was anything I was looking for. Even when I was the only person in the place! The husband actually avoided eye contact with me, and I don’t think I’m that scary looking. At one point I thought he was speaking to me, but nope… it was the dog in the back room. When I finally got her attention to inquire about a piece of furniture, she seemed put off when I asked if she had a tape measure that I could use to measure it and was extemely rude to me. When other customers came in who, maybe on this particular visit, were looking to spend more money than I was, she was a completely different person. She was sticky sweet with some canned lines about how so many women have their eye in this piece, and when the purchase was complete, how the previous owner will be so excited that the (expensive) desk is going to be loved just as much in it’s new home. No thanks, Heirloom Consignent, I’ll take my money elsewhere. Terrible customer service.

Great selection of quality consignment furniture. Light, bright and airy store. Well laid out, not cluttered or tacky. I’ve sold pieces there and purchased pieces. Michelle is extremely helpful.

Large varied selection of good quality furniture and other items. Not cheap but not overpriced either. Helpful staff.
Easy parking

new large consignment shop with large variety of lovely, fairly priced items. Nicely laid out with easy free parking behind store. A great addition to the greater Portland Maine area.
