I received a full color for $ 20 back in October because a student needed models. I went from faded out blondish highlights or low lights to an all over original brown. The color turned out great. Then Ashley blow dried and straightened my hair. She was so thorough and did this without a straightener and I have naturally wavy hair. Wow I was impressed. Ashley works Fridays and Saturdays as she commutes from Rochester. I returned Friday the 20th for a retouch as the grays were all on top. Morgan did a great job and Ashley did the haircut and blow dry again with a brush and hairdryer. The cost was only $ 25 each service! I think I found my new salon even though it’s 20 minutes away. This Rocco Altobellis is a finishing training academy. The salon workers then specialize in coloring or haircut and styling. There is a new referral program. For each person I send over, I get 20 points or $ 20 in product. The colorist Morgan and stylist Ashley are great and affordable. There is also a nice selection of hair and beauty products for sale. Dry shampoo anyone? They always need live models and its a win win opportunity. By the way a hair stylist at Rocco in Burnsville makes $ 125 a haircut now.

Where to start? Recently had my hair colored at this location– the tech hurriedly applied the color on my roots & then pulled more color through the ends. Worked on two other customers, besides me at the same time. She said there would extra $ 16 for that –when I went the front desk to pay I told the receptionist«I never paid extra for color on ends. » Receptionist then said okay, no extra charge«I do see that that there are no charges in your account». Then about 1 week later the color started to fade, called the salon & talked with receptionist –who talked on & on for ten minutes about how I had to see an instructor prior to my appointment. I was not scheduled with same tech — who had previously colored my hair as that tech had«tested out & didn’t need an instructor to see clients» so not sure why I was scheduled with different tech who has never completed any services on my hair? She also said«No charge for retouch on color.» Second appointment for retouch– instructor claims regrowth + full price charge for retouch service ! There was a lot of rude, attitude –I know best as I do this every day BS. I refused to pay for another color service that obviously wasn’t done correctly the first time coloring. Whatever happened to the customer is always right ??? Plus the prices change for one step color, sometimes $ 25 or more up to $ 40. Suggestions: improve communication with your customers– both in the salon & the phone. Post your prices in plain view for your customers so they know what they are paying. I don’t like to have someone who reeks of stale cigarette smoke working on my hair either –gross. Improve the lighting your parking lot.

Not my favorite location, but not bad. I wasn’t aware that this was their training facility. The receptionist told me that on the phone while making an appointment. This one is the closest to my house, so I thought I would give them a try. Tries using the online scheduling, but they don’t do that for coloring requests. My colorist was great. Very nice. Not the most talkative which is just fine. She explained everything and offered to make me comfortable with offers of magazines, beverages, extra towels, wifi etc. Check in receptionist was kind of surly, but the one when I left was sweet. I guess I am partial to the Roseville location. Nothing wrong with this one, just prefer that one more.

I’m sorry I have to give Rocco Training Salon on Snelling Avenue in St. Paul 2 stars. I have had many good haircuts there, but I am tired of stylists who reek like cigarette smoke. I’ve driven into the parking lot and seen employees smoking up a storm behind the place. Guess what, you smell like cigarette smoke when you go back in the salon! I can’t even stand the thought of them touching my hair with their smoky fingers. Rocco, you should ban your employees from smoking on the job. There is nothing worst than someone a few inches from me stinking like cigarettes. Would the Juut salons allow their people to reek???

I get my hair cut and colored here, as well as get my eyebrows waxed. I’ve been a customer for about 3 years. I haven’t had a bad experience yet. I also like that even though this is the education center for their new hires, everyone is already licensed.

I literally just downloaded this app to write a review. I’ve never written a review for anything before but felt I needed to based on my experience today. I just had the best coloring and cut of my life. Amethyst(not her hair color :)) did an OUTSTANDING job at predicting EXACTLY what I was looking for. And to back up my awesome color, Kendal gave me a gorgeous cut without taking too much off. They cycle through people after school so get there while you can to see these two! Worth every penny and more!!! Thank you ladies.

I went here yesterday to get a cut an color, which was $ 130. My colorist was amazing, but upon review of my haircut, I wanted an adjustment. I have really thick hair so I generally need deep layers(which I had asked for during the cut, mind you) to keep it from looking triangular. When I asked if I could get an adjustment, they refused to offer it for free. Unacceptable. If I’m paying that much for a cut, I expect to be satisfied with it. I will not go back here until this is rectified.
