New Art Salon

I just had one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a hair salon. I walked in for my appointment finding hairstylists sitting around looking at their cell phones. To me it’s very unprofessional and uncomfortable when you feel like you’re almost sitting with them in their boredom. My hairstylist was fifteen minutes late and didn’t apologize at all. He sat me down in the chair and proceeded to talk AT me for the whole time I was there. I was hardly able to get a word in unless I interrupted him. He never asked about me, my hair, how I style my hair or why I was even there in the first place. When showing me how to use a product, he put the product all over his hair and then proceeded to place his hands all over my hair — yuck! Have you ever sat down with a stylist and thought «How do I get out of here?» That’s how I felt. He never washed my hair. He cut (not joking) a few pieces of hair, while he was talking about things that didn’t make any sense. I couldn’t get out of there fast enough. I’m so bummed that I wasted my money on this person. Sorry fans of New Art, I’ll never step foot in this place again.

I’ve been going here for a few months now and I have always seen Peter. The service and atmosphere are good and even though I rarely know exactly what I want, Peter is able to deliver. I went short and added highlights to my already damaged hair this weekend and it turned out amazing. Love it, love it, love it!

I’ve been going to Peter for a while now and have recommended him to many of my friends and family. He is a great resource for ideas and advice about what would look good in terms of cut and color and he’s always correct! I used to have my hair done with cheaper colors that ravaged my hair but the highlights at New Art don’t ruin my hair at all. I’m happy I finally found a salon that I can trust and am able to recommend to my friends. Keep it up New Art :)

Went in for a cut, conditioning and full foil treatment with Nate, and I’m so pleased with the results. He REALLY listens to what you’re saying, and gives great feedback on what will work for your hair. My hair is fine and super soft, so it can be a little tricky to work with. He had no trouble, and helped me pick out a color that better compliments my skin tone. I am super impressed with the result, along with the friendliness and professionalism of this salon. I’ll be back!

I’ve gone to New Art to see Peter twice and have had great results both times. He has lots of experience and is always interesting to talk with. The prices are very reasonable and it’s in a very convenient location.
