Stopped in here for lunch after reading the reviews. This place did not disappoint! I ended up ordering the Santa Fe breakfast since they serve breakfast all day and added avocado. Definitely more than enough! Come to this place with an appetite because the portions are large! The Santa Fe was a large flour tortilla wrapped around eggs, cheese, and chorizo with tomatillo and fresh tomato salsa and sour cream. My mother ordered a half caesar salad which was reasonably priced at $ 5.50 and her friend ordered the club sandwich with fries which was huge. Service was great and it definitely had a diner feel to it. You have to walk through the kitchen to get to the restroom which was a bit strange but I was glad to see that it was clean.

Came here for brunch with friends and were notified that there was a 15 – 20 min wait, nbd. Apparently this place gets packed on weekends, which I was unaware of, but it was evident due to the quality of the food and service. Once we were seated, we were greeted by a friendly server right away and ordered within minutes. I had a California Omelette that was served with potatoes, a blueberry scone, and coffee. Everything was delicious, especially the scone(not sure if it was homemade, but it hit the spot). The prices are reasonable for breakfast/lunch food and the portions are huge — you could share a meal with a friend, that’s how big I’m talking. I’m planning to come by here more often; I can’t believe I just found out about this place recently!

Unfortunately my eggs Benedict had a burnt English muffin and over cooked egg. The bacon was cold and also burnt. Good potatos though. Nice service but my meal wasn’t worth the $ 12.95 it cost.

We came here because it was the only place that served breakfast all day. I’m very glad we did — the food is excellent and so is the service. They had a lot of seating available; especially since there weren’t many people there at 2 pm. I don’t even want to think about how crowded it gets in the mornings! I ordered the JoAnns special(I recommend getting the scone with it.) I really enjoyed it, everything seemed fresh and it was pretty tasty. I would for sure come here again if I wanted a late breakfast!

I found this place on Unilocal page in the Recommended spots for Brunch section so I decided to try it out. I called my order in song can take it to go and the gentleman who took my order was really sweet. We were having a bad connection and he kept his cool. I got there and the interaction in person was just as pleasant as it was over the phone. The location is really small you can easily drive right by it if you’re not paying attention. The inside was packed so that was a good sign already to me. I get back home and the food is amazing. I ordered the scrambled eggs and I chose Cajun sausage, avocado and green bell peppers. The house potatoes were seasoned really well and my lemonade was bomb :) I have no regrets. Everyone should go

Usually I’m not a huge fan of diner type places, but I’m glad JoAnns proved me wrong. After going back and forth on what I wanted to eat, I finally chose the Eggs Beatrice which I high fived myself for making a great choice(not literally, haha). The Eggs Beatrice comes with smoked salmon, poached eggs on top of sourdough toast on top of a bed of «wilted spinach». As non-appetizing as wilted spinach sounds, it was actually really good. All the flavors were great, the smoked salmon melts in your mouth and wasn’t too salty, and the whole plate tasted great together. There was also a plate of tomatoes on the side dressed with vinaigrette. That was surprisingly really good as well. Overall, it was a great meal. I’m surprised I ate it all — it’s actually a lot of food.

We went in the middle of the week around 9:30am. There were a couple of people sitting at the counter and two of the tables were filled. We were greeted and seated immediately. I ordered coffee, which came promptly and was consistently refilled throughout our breakfast. I ordered the«Santa Fe» and my bf ordered the«Huevos». We also ordered a side of two pancakes. The food came pretty quickly. Pancakes: Fluffy, light and delicious! You get a little bowl of butter that is just over the perfect amount, and it’s nice and soft so it doesn’t tear the pancakes. Plenty of syrup and the container was actually clean and not all sticky when you touched it. Huevos: Very good, poached eggs were cooked perfectly. Plenty of ham and a ton of home fries on the side. Santa Fe: I loved and would definitely order again! It was the perfect size and all the flavors were perfectly balanced. Delicious! It’s pretty inexpensive for the quality and amount of food you get. The people who work there are friendly. Easy, relaxed place, where you feel totally comfortable. Can’t wait till we can come back here again!

Freaking amazing orange french toast! It’s a little café with a diner feel, so don’t expect a classy brunch venue. Food: *****(5) — Seriously. The french toast. Service: **(2) — LONG wait to order, and hard to get the waiter’s attention Location: ****(4) — Not close to the Bart, but close to the Pacific Market and a few other stores. There’s parking at least!

I had not been here in years but suddenly craved a good muffin. The place looked the same inside. I was pleased to find a seat by the front window. I tried the Basic Burger with cheddar and avocado. A side salad instead of fries. The burger was huge-6 oz! Medium rare and not dry too! Plenty of fresh avocado and the salad greens were a fresh, spring mix with the best vinegarette dressing! I took the chocolate chip banana and oat bran muffins to go. However, next time I am visiting friends near here, I’ll be back! The server was good too!

What’s happened here? Always been a tasty sure thing! Food still good but service unacceptable! It’s never a good thing to be rushed out for your table… I’m pretty sure we won’t ever be going back nor recommending this place. It doesn’t appear that management pays attention to the Unilocalers and all the negative reviews will one day affect this business if it hasn’t already.

4.16.2016 edit — I’ve been receiving messages and compliments from people concerned that I’m leaving the confinement of my home and spreading viruses. I went back to read my review and realized that I should’ve elaborated. I wouldn’t have been around a 9 month old had I been contagious. I was up 3 days straight, had ice cream(even though I’m lactose intolerant), and my body basically gave out grom echaustion and stressed. No one around me that day ended up getting sick including the infant. — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — – So I’m over here sick in the car trying not to toss out my intestines from my mouth. My boyfriend being the gentleman he is runs in and puts his name down while his brother, brother’s wife, and niece are walking in. He tells the host/waitress that I am present and am walking in. We’re parked literally in front of the door and i’m easily visible to even the person seated at the back of the room. This lady … oh, this lady gives away our table to a group of people with half of their party missing. Whatever, one table. It’s just one table. We’ll be next, right? Nope. We’re standing there as a fire hazard while she proceeds to look over us and seats everyone walking in but us. I’m over here just standing there falling all over because of wobbly knees and throwing up my guts all night and no sleep for 2 days. She glances over, acknowledges and walks away to the other side of the room. Couldn’t even offer a girl a water. The drought is real, woman. My existence is, too. Forget about me. My boyfriend’s niece, this sweet 9 month old baby girl, is being held in her mother’s arms. Being pushed and shoved by groups of people offered to be seated first because we weren’t even acknowledged. Even when I walked in I got no salutations. Do you know what we got when we left? Nothing. She didn’t even look towards us to care. I didn’t get her name but she’s the red-headed one with that attitude. I have no reason to ever return here. We went to Gunter’s after and enjoyed a wonderful meal where even a 9 month old child could enjoy her time there. Ridiculous.

Yup. Really good. My dad isn’t a local senior citizen… yet… But local Diners or breakfast/brunch places usually house the local senior citizens that the waiters, waitresses and cooks all know by name. My dad Loves breakfast. He is always on the look out for good breakfast joints. What I wrote above is exactly how my dad judges a place, and he’s usually right. This place is great. Hole in the wall, open kitchen with bar and booth seating. Great service with great food. Definitely coming back. Enjoy!

Ordered food for pick up on Saturday… Food was ready pretty fast! Everything looked amazing until I found a hair in my food, 3 bites in. Immediately called the restaurant to let them know and was instructed at 12:40pm to bring the food back before 2pm(the same day) and they would replace it. I wasn’t able to go back within that time frame and they said they couldn’t do anything for me. I called every day that week to speak with a manager and conveniently the manager«just» stepped out every time I called. Finally on Thursday(same week), a lady answered the phone and I told her what happened and she rudely said, «oh this was Saturday? They were busy.» I wasn’t looking for a refund or for them to replace my meal, I just wanted management to be aware of the situation. I’m sorry… But no busy day is an excuse for hair in food.

Very good place for breakfast. Food is very good and the portions are big. I had the chorizo with eggs and couldn’t finish. The place looks a bit worn from the outside, but don’t let that fool you. The staff is very friendly and it’s a nice atmosphere in here. The place is a little small, but that adds to the charm of the place. A good place to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee… Two thumbs up!

They are still in my top 3 favorite breakfast spots in the Bay Area. Fantastic food, real ingredients(real butter, real maple syrup, etc.) nice people, and comfy interior. Love their B-street eggs: 3 eggs scrambled with crunch bacon, blue cheese, spinach, and croutons. I swap the potatoes for tomatoes in vinaigrette, and get one of their awesome house-made apple muffins. Or JoAnn’s special with scrambled eggs and two Italian sausages, split lengthwise, then grilled on the char-broiler, with fresh fruit salad and home fries.

Met up with two of my colleagues for lunch here on Saturday. The place was packed on a Saturday and they only sat you if your entire party was present. Fair system. They were quite attentive with filling our waters(when they remembered to bring them) and our coffees. Our server forgot one of my colleague’s fruit too! Hopefully it was just that day they were forgetful since they were packed! Everyone’s dishes were delicious! I had the Eggs Beatrice and my tastebuds were in heaven! It was egg porn and a good twist on your classic Eggs Benedict. The dish was poached eggs over toast with smoked salmon, and all that over a bed of spinach. I highly recommend this dish if you enjoy Eggs Benedict. The tomato slices that came on the side with dressing seemed a bit odd to me though. 4 stars, instead of 5, for the forgetful waiter and for the semi-odd payment system. It felt awkward having to tell the lady how much gratuity to key into her system. I enjoy privately adding the tip and for them to see this amount after I leave! Other than that, I definitely would bring my mom and boyfriend here for brunch!

We haven’t been back to JoAnn’s for breakfast in years and it’s just as popular as ever with the locals. Saw 3 persons buying a bunch of their muffins and heard them say they were taking it to the police station. Ms. JoAnn retired back decades ago and one of the cooks bought the place in the 1990’s. I tried the Denny which was 2 buttermilk pancakes, 2 bacon strips(the thick, chewy bacon), 2 eggs for under $ 8. Hubby had cottage fries(not crispy enough), came with a small bowl of fresh chopped fruit, sausage patty(didn’t like the flavor), 2 eggs and he added a scone(it was pretty good) but they didn’t have a microwave to heat it up so the wait staff put it in the toaster for a bit. A very casual, formica counter top dining joint.

Their muffins… sooo addicting. Should’ve bought some extras to-go!(I think they’re $ 3 each, which is sort of pricey, but they’re pretty big… at least the tops are) and def worth it IMO. Fresh squeezed OJ wasn’t very sweet. Everything else was good. :) It’s a small spot, so I’m sure it gets crowded. we were lucky and only had to wait bc we needed a table where they could fit a highchair.

We came here for Sunday brunch and there was a line out the door. We waited for about 15 – 20 minutes but the food ended up being worth it. Very delicious, one of the best Eggs Benny I’ve had in a while. The service was fast and friendly even though they were very busy. I don’t have a single negative comment about this café and can see why it’s so popular.

What can I say about JoAnn’s…I visited JoAnn’s on Sunday morning at around 10am. Fortunately, the wait was only about 10 minutes. We were seated and placed our orders. I decided to order the Goldie Lox which was basically scrambled eggs, smoked salmon, cream cheese, and green onion. The eggs and the smoked salmon with the cream cheese paired well together. It was the perfect combination of creamy and salty. I would definitely order this dish again. The dish came with roasted potatoes and blueberry muffin(you can pick between some toast, a muffin, or a scone). The potatoes were just ok and I wasn’t very impressed with the muffin. It was more bready and wasn’t as fluffy as I thought it would be. Why the 3 stars? The service! Our waiter was extremely slow that day. He didn’t really check up on us if we needed anything. I was literally hunting him down trying to get his attention. He didn’t realize he had forgotten our coffees that we ordered until he had given the table next to us their coffees and I pointed out we didn’t have ours. He seemed like he was always in a rush to leave our table after we needed something. I had to ask him for a coffee refill, some water, the check(to give the check and to take our payment), and for a carry out box. It seemed like more attention was given to the waving over the waiter than actually paying attention to who you’re having brunch with. It definitely took away from the experience which is a shame because the food was pretty good.
