I got the 9 piece combo and it comes with 9 pieces of chicken wings, regular fries, a drink, and a dipping sauce. I asked the guy which flavors were the most popular and decided on their Honey Sriracha and garlic Parmesan chicken wings. I like the spicy Sriracha more. The wings are basically deep fried first and then coated in the sauce. That’s exactly how I like my chicken wings! Yum! For $ 2 more, I decided on upgrading my fries and got the garlic fries. The fries were pretty impressive tasting if you love garlic. Cuz I do!

The first time I had this food truck was at Kaskade at Pier 70. The wings were amazing! They were fried perfectly and the meat wasn’t dry. I believe we got the sweet chili or teriyaki and it was really good! I went back to the truck when they were available at off the grid: Burlingame. The wings were just as amazing as the first time. We got the fries with it that time and we still crave it every once in a while. I wish there were more wing places in the peninsula. I love chicken wings!

We went to this truck at the SF park district Halloween celebration and service was terrible. My husband was about 6 people back and waited over ANHOUR for dinner for our kids. ONE order of fries and chicken strips. It was unreal. Ruined our whole time as I was alone with the kids the whole time and he was waiting at a food truck. That said, food was good. Today at the glen park festival there was no line so my husband ordered an order of fries because they were so good. 15 min later, he got fries. This place needs to do something about their wait times. Otherwise they would have something great!

The food was bomb. The chicken was very flavorful and crispy! And the selection of sauces are amazing!

They are at OTG Alameda today and they are so good! The chicken wings and drumettes are so big and meaty! One of my favorite sauces is the Honey Siracha which is what I had today. Their fries are good, but I prefer the salt and vinegar fries they have. If you like vinegar, you have to order them. They also have lumpia poppers which is another of my favorites and highly recommend.

The best tasting chicken wings ever! I would have give 5 stars except a couple wings were not cooked all the way. we had garlic parm.

In the over saturated market of food trucks this one does nothing to make me ever want to try it again. Although the sauce(honey siracha) was decent, they must have run out of the hand crafted boneless wings. I was supposed to receive three strips. Instead, I got 6 popcorn chicken bites from a bag. I ate it, but the service was horrible(long wait and rude employee) and food was just ok so there is really nothing worth giving this place more business. Next time you are at the Devils Canyon brewery try one of the other trucks.

Worth popping a statin or two before indulging in all this deep fried goodness. The wings are fried nicely, but the sauces vary a lot in quality. I was leaning towards a 4 star, but they had to cluck it up. I ordered a 9 piece wings and they gave me 8 pieces, so minus 1 star for the missing wing. Count your wings when you get them! Honey Sriracha Wings: Pretty solid wings. Nice and crispy. A lot(though not all) of the under skin fat had been rendered off. The sauce was spicy, sweet and sticky kinda like a General Tso’s. No need for any sort of dipping sauce. Garlic Parmesan Wings: A little disappointing. Like a naked wing with a dash of garlic oil. The parmesan was just a half-hearted shake of powder. Pretty flavorless. Cheese & Bacon Fries: A very generous amount of Cheez Whiz(or similar) goo covering everything. Lots of minced up bacon; it was room temperature so was probably griddled up earlier in the day. With all that cheese product sauce, the fries weren’t really crispy but still good.

I’m writing this for about three months later from this experience. I was in an event and cluck it up was there. I noticed they were arguing with a customer and they got in a heated exchange. The customer still demanded the food. So I watched as the cook prepared his food. I noticed the cook doing several things he’s not supposed to do to a chicken wing. The people running the food truck seem to be young and immature and unprofessional be very careful when dealing with this food truck.

My coworker and I just got lunch from them next to our work. I ordered the garlic parmesan wing($ 8 before tax), and he ordered the chicken strip combo($ 11 before tax)(which includes a drink, dipping sauce, and fries). He ended up upgrading to garlic fries for an extra $ 2. There really wasn’t a line, so it didn’t take long for our food to come out. The good… the fries. It’s the kind of fries with that crispy coating on the outside so I love them! And there were plenty of garlic on the fries. And the bad… the chicken. My wings looked and smelled great, but once I took a bite, I was super disappointed. It was so BLAND. There’s barely any parmesan, and the garlic was just in a clump under the wings. My coworker said his chicken strips were bland too, but was saved by a generous dousing of ranch dressing. All in all, if this truck was at my work again, I’ll probably just go for some fries. I just wouldn’t go out of my way to look for these guys.

This review is based on their food truck that appeared at the San Jose bacon festival for Labor Day weekend(sept. 2015): First off, I do not eat pork so you guys are probably wondering why I even attended this years bacon festival… friends convinced me to go. What drew me to this food truck among all others at the festival was that one, I loveeee chicken wings. Two, I loveeee fries. And three, their menu consisted of bacon bits that seemed easy enough for me to not add onto my order. Whereas, all other food trucks at the festival had bacon infused on their menu items that could not be excluded. The line didn’t seem so long when my friends and I decided to order from this truck. Although there was about 7 – 10 people ahead of us, the line seemed to move veryyyyy slowly. Approximately 30 minutes into waiting, we noticed that a few of their menu items were crossed off. Meaning, they were sold out of it. Some people ahead of us were very disappointed and decided not to wait any longer. They said they waited about 45 mins in line for nothing.(At this point, the festival had started about 2 – 3 hours ago and they were already sold out of half of the things they had on their menu). Minus a star for being unprepared and running out of items not even halfway into the festival). Minus another star for the very long wait time in line. When it was my turn to order, the guy working there(sorry didn’t get a name) was very friendly and happily said it was possible to get no bacon/bacon on the side(gave them to my friends. Might as well if I’m paying for it still) for the items I chose to order. Plus one star for him being super friendly. The wait time for picking up the food also seemed to take a long time. Minus a star for being unorganized and calling out order numbers not in order.(A majority of the people ordered the same things(fries bc that’s mostly just what they had left)). When my order was called, they had messed up my order and added the bacon on my items with extra bacon on the side. The girl who gave me my food gave her coworkers an attitude about it and had them remake my order.(Completely understandable on the mistake bc most people don’t order it that way. However, communication should be clearer btwn person taking order and person making the order). When my friends received their cheese and bacon fries, the fries were already cold. They were very disappointed considering it took very long to make fries(don’t know why) and to receive it cold? Bummer. Minus a star. When my food was remade, the girl giving my food seemed to have a really grumpy face and was not friendly at all. My cheese fries did not come with sour cream as stated on the menu and she had an attitude when I asked for it. Quality of food: I ordered the cheese and bacon wings. 4 wings for $ 6. Not worth it. The wings were were seasoned, very plain and literally drenched in lousy quality nacho cheese sauce. The cheese and bacon fries I ordered was also covered with the nacho cheese sauce where the fries were literally burnt and overly salted. Minus another star. Lastly, minus another star(I know I’m minusing more than 5 stars) for their communication. Not only was their wait to order extremely long(overall, it took us 50 mins to order and get food), but they did not communicate well with the customers. While I was waiting for my food, the new guy taking orders told the next people waiting to order that they were going to close for about 30 – 40 minutes and that he wasn’t taking any more orders for the time being. No heads up for any of the customers waiting in line. Some of which were already waiting close to an hour and still waiting without a clue that the line wouldn’t be moving for another 30 – 40 minutes. Having worked in the food industry, I understand that communication is veryyyyy essential for a happy customer as well as smooth operation. I kindly gave the guy a recommendation for future reference to let the last customer they were going to serve that they would be the last customer as they will be closing for 30 – 40 mins and to relay the message to new customers so they would have the option to decide to wait or not and so that those who were already waiting for a long time would not have to wait even longer. He just agreed and then walked away. Pretty much showing that he didn’t care for my suggestion. I feel harsh for saying this, but given the reasons stated above, I wouldn’t recommend this food truck. Sorry for the super long review but I try to be as detailed as possible so you’ll know what to expect if you’re trying to decide if this truck is worth a try.

Their truck came to Foster City tonight. I looked it up on Unilocal and was encouraged by the reviews. That and my craving for wings made me choose this truck for my dinner. The fries was more brown than golden. I was able to eat only half because my palate was all scratched up by the overcooked fries. I got Parmesan Garlic and Sweet Chili. Both were also big disappointments. The former was more garlic and hardly any trace of Parmesan; the Sweet Chili was a little more tasty. However, the meat was dry… as if it was already pre-cooked. As for the service, the two guys were friendly and helpful but the prep was a little slow. There wasn’t much of a line but it seemed the others buying from the truck across were getting their orders much faster than we were. Sorry but I wouldn’t recommend this unless you were super hungry…

The Cluck It Up truck was at the LPGA tournament today and I’ve always wanted to try it. I see it driving around the city but never had time to follow or check out their website to know where it’s going. Here was my chance. I got the honey siracha sauce wings with garlic fries and it was great! Wings were crispy and topped with their tangy sweet sauce. It wasn’t really spicy but was still very tasty. The fries were nice and crispy and tossed with a generous portion of fresh chopped garlic. I didn’t get a chance to check out the lumpur poppers but will be sure to get that next time. Thanks Matt, great food!!!

I’ve been here quite a few times and think it’s about that time to write a review. Cluck It Up is essentially a chicken wing food truck, that’s what they specialize in. While chicken wings is their main focus they also have other options such as lumpia poppers, french fries(a few different varieties) and corn on the cob. They are usually at OTG Hayward every other Monday. Every time that I have visited this truck I have opted for the lumpia poppers(10 pieces for $ 5), they come with this awesome dipping sauce. The lumpia poppers are super yummy, chicken and veggie filling and fried perfectly. I actually love them! I finally decided to go ahead and give their chicken wings a try since I was craving some wings, I didn’t want something super saucy so I got the garlic Parmesan wings. What a huge disappointment, there was hardly any Parmesan on the wings and seems like they just threw chunks of garlic on there, yuck. The only thing that was worth eating were the french fries, I ended up not eating the chicken and gave it away. Maybe some of the other flavors might be good but I most definitely won’t be giving them a second chance with the chicken, I will just stick to the lumpia poppers.

Hit or miss. Saw them at the Stanford Clinic and got really excited when I read the Unilocal reviews and saw the pictures… sadly I was mistaken. The bacon cheese fries: the fries were crispy but the cheesy was fishy… tasted a bit. cod-y, weird right? There also wasn’t much bacon on it, tid bit disappointing. chicken tenders: not worth $ 5.00 for 3 pieces, the potato salad was the best part but it also tasted like it was from a costco jug. All in all: Denny’s meets Chick-Fil-A. .but the chicken isn’t as good and the sauces are an extra charge. There are better bacon cheese fry’s at denny’s. this is more a Jack-In-the-Box vibe, the chicken was like burger king but not as salty. Verdict: Skip it, or go for the garlic fries… they seem delicious, the chicken isn’t worth it.

The chicken is great. Fried without getting to dry chicken phase. A handful of sauce options that don’t overwhelm you. Large piece of chicken for what you pay, too. This truck’s downfall is its order fulfillment. It seems that chicken is fried to order. This is a great idea for sit-down restaurant service, when you have time to wait. Unfortunately it’s not that great when you only have 15 minutes to wait for a food truck order and then hurry on with the rest of your day. If you can wait, the chicken is fantastic. I’m a fan of the original hot BBQ sauce.

This review is for their food truck service, as I’ve never been to the actual location. SERVICE. Long lines, slow turnover rate, they sold out of half their menu in hours(which either speaks for the volume of people there, or how poorly unprepared they were). Friendly enough people. Biggest ‘oh no no’ was that they managed to run out of napkins, which is pretty bad for a food truck. GARLICFRIES. We got these because they were sold out of the bacon-cheese ones, but I’m glad they were — these were awesome, crispy and golden, good texture, and loaded with garlic. Some of my favorite garlic fries to date, to be honest. HOTWINGS. Not super spicy, but the boy demolished his order, so they were clearly good in his eyes. HICKORYSMOKEDWINGS. Definitely my favorite, awesome flavor, but were given very few drumsticks, which I prefer, so I didn’t have many. For a fried-food truck, it doesn’t make you feel as greasy or heavy as you’d expect, but I’m in no rush to visit the brick-and-mortar(other than to have more of their garlic fries!). Also, a little pricey for what you get($ 22+ for 12 wings and some fries).

Servers weren’t particularly friendly. Was only the third person in line yet waited 20 minutes for three chicken strips and a basket of Lumpia poppers. Everything tasted like Costco frozen foods thrown in old oil in a deep fryer. The honey sriracha sauce seemed like it was slapped together thoughtlessly. All kinda of nope.
