See’s Candies

CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS POOR TODAY
I’ve been here before and usually the service is excellent with little wait time at the cashier.
But today:
–There were 6 See’s workers visible out front.
–The Caucasian woman with glasses directed me to go inside the lane divider area instead of waiting directly behind the customer at the cashier (where one would usually line up).
–When it was my turn at the cashier, the cashier turned away and began packing candy.
The other 3 women behind the counter, packing candies, didn’t acknowledge me, they must’ve seen me though.
The only man worker, a younger guy, then came up to the lady waiting BEHIND me and started to ring her up (AHEAD of me!). So I told him what about me?
The Caucasian lady said there are plenty of people to help you (that sure is right) but she left the scene and went through the swinging doors into the back room.
–A Latino woman then proceeded to check out my purchases, but she didn’t say much so I didn’t know if she saw my ID badge to get the discounted price. The guy worker said she did, but then he started telling me I can’t mix paying with a gift certificate and a credit card.
–At this point I just wanted to get out of there ASAP after paying.
Not sure why the customer experience was sub-​par today.

Very nice and big store with friendly staff. Convenient location across the street from Costco and close to the San Francisco airport.

Soooo expensive…
I just spent $ 60 on 6 little boxes of chocolates.
The workers were adamant that there was to be NO discount. They call it their «Sweet Savings Customer Price». We were told that anything that is «holiday related» was not going to have this discounted price.
Odd…everything else offered a discounted price.

wouldn’t accept my gift card told me it had to be spent at different stores.

The employees here are always helpful and polite. I always have a good experience here.

Prices reasonable? Check.
Products? Check.
Great holiday gift? Check.
Nuts and chews? Check.
Accepts Costco bought gift certs? Check.
Free in store sample? Check.
Friendly service? Check.
Located across the street from my favorite Costco? Check.
Lollipops that make me smile? Check check.

I came here right after buying certificates at Cosco across the street. Full price chocolate is generally $ 18 per pound, but you can get two, one pound certificates at Cosco for $ 29, or $ 14.50 per pound! That’s cheaper than LA Costco certificates, which are $ 30! Additionally, See’s offers corporate discounts for jus $ 14 per pound if your company participates! Fortunately, I found out that my company participates, so I used the discount instead of the gift certificates! Happy Holidays!

Great stop for gifts before flying home!
See’s has a nice mix of chocolates and confections at reasonable prices. It’s not fancy chocolate, but it’s decent quality and good for gifts. This location is spacious and organized. The staff are super friendly and are generous with samples too :)
Pricing is generally the same as the regular retail outlets but there are a few items that have a slight discount if you are employed by certain companies.
Good spot to hit before going to SFO!

This is a prime example of where chocolate = heaven.
As you enter the clean venue, you will be pleased with the organized stacks of pre-​made chocolate boxes that can be be used as great gifts, or you will be satisfied with the large collection of chocolate for grabs. The employee was very polite, offered samples to my liking, and was vocal about his suggestions and opinions.
Personal Favorites — Almond Squares and Rum Nougets

Came to this location because they gave discounts to city employees, which my dad is.
They have a small private lot, and the place itself isn’t too large. Everything was very clean and organized — just like all other See’s Candies stores I’ve been in. They had everything I wanted in stock and clearly labeled. Sadly the discount only applies to the pre-​boxed candies or ones already in packages/​containers.
Being that there is no See’s in NYC, I always stock up when visiting the folks. I spend $ 100 easy here on each visit.
The staff was super friendly and always giving out delicious samples.

Super Great service when I came and bought some gifts for some chocolate lovers in my life. If you left me alone in here i can guarantee that all the scotch mallows would be gone! this place is dangerous to me but after over coming my chocolate addiction i can safely come in here and only buy one box for myself!

When I’m tired of giving out Ghirardelli chocolates during the holidays (and that doesn’t take very long) I go straight to See’s Candies. For some reason it’s not as well known. I’ve made it a personal quest to spread the good news of See’s Candies.
I like this location because it’s so close to my work. They’re really attentive and let me swap samples if I don’t like what they have on the tray. It’s also not as busy as their factory location nearby. I get a full catalog selection in the store without the insanity of their flagship store.
If you’re at a loss about what to hand out for candies this season, grab a box of Awesome Bars from See’s and break them down accordingly. Yes, they are awesome. I seriously get two boxes, one for gift giving and the other to keep for myself.

As you are returning your rental car to the airport I highly recommend you stop here for presents for your family and friends. Why? Because if you buy this candy at the airport it will cost you a little more.
Recently I stopped here first thing in the morning after I landed and they were closed. I was not very happy with this but did come back on my way out. There hours are a little weird so call first.
This location has a lot of candy choices. Except I need someones ID from San Francisco because this location will give you a discount if your company has some kind of affiliation with See’s…I am not quite sure but the lady is always asking me for my discount card and I keep trying to get the additional discount without the card. I always lose.
There is a big parking lot here and it is easy to grab your candy boxes and go. And do not forget the free samples because it is always good to refresh your memory on what chocolate tastes like.
Okay I gotta go and catch a plane!!!

Note: This store is closed on Sunday.
We love See’s Candies but was disappointed that this store is closed on Sunday and when we called, the machine did not even mention that it was closed on Sunday. We need to drop a family at SFO for a flight at 2.00 pm and decided to pick this store which is next to the airport but very disappointed that it is closed on Sunday. (–2 stars for not mentioning it on the company website and on the phone). Please note that the address 400 S Airport Blvd is not found on my Garmin GPS so you need user Google Maps or other Navigation apps.

Called in to see if they had the gold Thank You boxes of assorted chocolates. Luckily, someone had ordered some and had 12 extra. My aunt needed 20 by next Thursday. Unfortunately, special orders require 2weeks notice, but the staff definitely worked with me in order to make up for the 8 extra boxes by providing me with cute gold Thank You stickers on their non-​Thank You boxes.
The staff here is very sweet and patient. :) The free samples are a plus — they offered me three different choices and I went w/​the scotch kiss since it’s my favorite! If your company gives you a discount here, all you need to show is your employee ID and you get the advertised discounted price (15−20%?)
Parking is a breeze and it’s location make it easy to find.

You know, if I hadn’t had so many sweets on my vacation, See’s Candies would’ve added another notch on its belt. I was greeted by a very friendly lady with an assortment of samples. I chose chocolate covered peanut brittle. That was some tasty stuff, but i had to pass. Maybe next time though!

I like this location. It has a large amount of floor and display space compared to the other retail stores. If you have the proper identification you can get discounted prices. They had the Xmas season candy in before Thanksgiving.
I love the samples. The chocolate is always fresh. Nom Nom!

Ugh.
As I got further into the box, discovered this other mistake:
What were supposed to be Chelsea’s turned out to be Vanilla Nut Creams. And the Milk Chocolate Butter’s turned out to be Milk Buttercreams.
Aaargh!
Still good, so not downgrading rating. Just make sure you double-​check your box before they wrap it up!

This is the closest See’s to my job. They offer discounts for gov’t and business employees. This is a pretty big store, and not crowded at all. I loved the lady behind the counter, if it wasn’t for her, I wouldn’t have known that this location offers the discounts. There is another location I knew about in San Jose on San Carlos Blvd. The lady was super nice.
My minus one star is the building isn’t that happy looking on the outside. It should drawl people in, those chocolates are soooo good. I went to get a half pound of scotchmellow, my all time favorite See’s candy.
