We recently moved to this area, and The Coop is a fun little place to stop for a burger, chicken and fries. The service is friendly and fast. They do a lot of take-out and catering, but the inside is usually never too busy if you want to stop to dine-in either.

This place is known for their chicken but I actually go there at least twice as month for their amazing burgers. They taste very fresh and remind me of an old fashioned diner burger. The service is always friendly and the owner is a very nice lady. This is a true grease shack hidden gem.

Came here on a whim with my girlfriend and I was blown away at how good the fried chicken is. We got a coney dog and a 4-piece dark meat with wedge fries. I had zero expectations coming in and walked away very satisfied. The fried chicken is fried perfectly and is super crispy. If it wasn’t a health concern to eat fried chicken skin in mad quantities I would suggest they put it as an item on the menu. The meat is super juicy, tender, and flavorful. It’s the kind of chicken where you don’t need any kind of sauce to accommodate it with. I love putting hot sauce and honey on fried chicken and you don’t need any of that for this stuff. The staff here is super friendly as well! I’ll definitely be back, maybe making it a weekly stop.

Picked because it was local and not a chain. It was charming, but food was just okay.

I live very close to The Coop, so am disappointed that everything on the menu comes from a freezer and goes directly into a fryer. The service is very friendly, but during lunch and dinner hours, can hardly ever keep up with orders, so you will wait 20 – 30 minutes for your food unless you call ahead, and there is nowhere to comfortably stand. Prices are very reasonable, but when you consider that nothing is fresh, it makes sense.

Great food and prices. Was slightly crowded when we were there, and they were understaffed, but the chicken was great. Friendly staff as well. Would definitely return

Stopped in to try the Coney Island Dogs. They were pretty good. Roosters still blows it out of the water for a coney dog!

I almost don’t want to leave this great review because the food is SO good and so fairly priced! They have everything here. If you don’t like fried chicken(god forbid) there are many other options to choose. Hot dogs, cheese curds, burgers, sandwiches and fish dishes are available here too! The service is great as well — the people who work here seem to genuinely enjoy it, and they make sure you enjoy your meal. 100% recommend The Coop!

Guarded by a clan of porcelain roosters and the amazing lip-lickin’ scent of ribs and fried chicken is this little sit down or take-out joint that you should visit. The menu has a wide variety of American staples and even a few things only found during the great American get together(pizza burger for one). Come in and enjoy a fabulous coney dog and mingle with the sweet ladies that are working hard to provide the service of making you satisfied in your stomach and in your wallet.

I’ve tried several things here. The chicken is awesome. The breading is light and even a little sweet, at least to me. Had another one of the sandwiches and wasn’t too impressed. The chicken, biscuits and coleslaw are the best things! I have brought visiting family and friends and they all love it. The staff is very friendly too. Very enjoyable to visit.

Skip the sides and go straight for the chicken… Juicy and crispy with great seasonings.

Awesomely classic. Chicken is fried to order, so you will have about a 15 – 20 minutes wait and it is WORTHIT. Super moist with a crispy, light breading. The potato wedges also have a very nice light and crispy breading, I believe those are fried to order as well. The pulled pork is melt-in-your-mouth-good. Some pulled pork can rely heavily on fatty pieces of meat to make it flavorful but this stuff had less fatty pieces and more flavor than many sandwiches I’ve tried. The BBQ sauce is made in house and is right up there with the best.

How can you not love this place? The world would be a better place with more local, friendly-staffed, lip-smackin’ good chicken joints!

What a nice find! Good food. Nice neighborhood restaurant. The kind of place where you get your money’s worth. And you feel good about giving them your money. We were here for lunch, so we had sandwiches and dogs and such. But I’d love to come back for chicken and ribs. Cute kids meals with smiley face fries for $ 4.75(drink not included.)

Oh, man… this place is awesome. It’s sort of a hole in the wall, but who cares… they sell delicious fried chicken at a low price. It’s always seasoned perfectly and the skin is always crispy. It even remains crispy when it cools off. Their sides are pretty good, too… we love the potato wedges and the cole slaw is the tasty, creamy variety you’d expect with your fried chicken. They make everything fresh so you always get piping hot, great quality food. You’ve got to give this place a shot if you haven’t already.

Crinkle Cuts! This is where my addiction to crinkle cuts fries started when I was a lot younger! This was our go-to place for a treat while growing up. Now that I’m older, I haven’t been in years. Growing up it was family bucket with the fries on top. On a recent Tuesday I decided we were going to get the 12 piece chicken only bucket to go. It was 3 wings, 3 breasts, 3 thighs, and 3 legs. I do not like thighs and legs, but he does, so it was perfect for us to share. I stopped in before my workout so I could pick up the food after my workout, so bad, I know… The food was ready when promised. I drove home just waiting to dig into that chicken. It was just like I remembered — juicy and delicious with that kick and salty taste! My dining companion had never had it before, but said it was better than the grocery store, but he prefers KFC. I do not. I think it’s a good deal at $ 16 after tax for the 12 pieces of chicken, but can see it getting expensive. I think the quarter dinner is a better deal with fries, cole slaw, and a roll. I have many family members who enjoy the fish, the pizza burgers, and the appetizers. The chicken excellent, the service friendly, and the price right. I need to remember this place more often!
