ok, there is nothing more i hate than shopping for bathing suits and bras. but have to give in from time to time. i was intrigued by the numerous commercials and thought wow! i need to look into that bra. seemless, no back fat? what do i have to lose except maybe $$. i went to the promenade shops and saw the store and was so excited. i was with a girlfriend who was curious too. the staff were very pleasant, clean store, cute presentation. not a VS this is a grown up shop. some sexy wear, not raunchy. the reps asked if they can assist. they have measuring tapes to help get you in the right size. i myself know i was off a bit due to the weight gain and loss but knew enough i wasn’t close to a 34 anything. esp. 34DDD! when the measuring began she placed the tape so tight i thought to myself there is no way this is going to be right. i was assured they had to go tight to ensure the product will last longer as it stretches over time and conforms to your body. the fit was awful. it was sooooo tight i had back fat spilling out and needed a bra for that. and i had it on the first clips! any tighter and it would have cut my circulation. i was very vocal in my displeasure with the bra and asked if they can just get a 36. the staff again were very nice and accommodating. i tried the D, DD, and DDD just to understand the difference. i realized i am a comfortable 36DD. i could see where the D didn’t cup as much, splitting my boob in half. not a good look when you wear form fitting shirts. looks like spillage. the triple D felt more like my grandmothers bra as it cupped all of it and then some. i wore a v neck that day and you could see the bra. way too high. the double D fit just right. wasn’t too tight on the first clip and with the give had two more clips to use overtime. the material was nice and smooth. inside the straps there is this inner gel like band that sticks to your skin that’s suppose to support better. although i’m not sure how i feel about that during the summer hot days. will have to wear and let you know. i ended up purchasing only one bra to test over time. the cost is a bit pricy but when you have to strap your puppies in sometimes it’s ok to spend a little more. although truth be told i’ve had better fittings with maiden form and bali at any kmart and tj maxx. i was told by the reps your suppose to have 4 good bras and circulate every 4 to 6 months. i thought lady are you crazy? do you know how long it’s taken me to go shopping and the age of the bra i’m wearing? more like 4 to 6 years. they also try to sell a detergent that’s supposed to prolong the integrity and stretch of the bra. blah, blah, blah save your money… something about enzymes. overall i wasn’t impressed. and have yet to use my bra. damn commercials get you all the time. i wasn’t pressured into buying at all and really want to give it a chance. so until next time i’ll let you know how it holds
