The only reason I’m not giving Wllow Brook 5 stars is that I haven’t played the course yet. I will on my next visit – I just didn’t have time for even 9 holes. I was looking for a nice place to play near Hartford as I travel there often for business. I tried a couple of ranges nearby, then found Willow Brook. Their ad said«the friendliest golf course in Connecticut.» I have to say – they’re telling the truth! The people here are fabulous. The range was fantastic and well cared for. The putting/chipping area is large and well manicured. They have a very nice tavern and the menu looks delicious. Willow Brook has a new customer in me.

A very nice little course. Extremely easy to get onto with a great clubhouse staff. Very well maintained and a great place to practice your short game. They also have a driving range and 2 practice putting areas. A great value!

A short, but fun course that’s very affordable. Willow Brook is a Par 60 course that has 12 Par 3’s and 6 Par 4’s. The course itself is kept in pristine shape. The staff is also very friendly, not to mention the rates are very affordable. I played 18 holes walking on a Saturday(yesterday) for $ 22. Play is faster than most other courses because this place doesn’t often get too busy and the holes play rather short. 3 of the 6 Par 4’s play under 250 yards and only #18 plays over 300. If you’re long off the tee, you can probably attempt to reach most of the greens in one shot. Hazards are limited to some small bunkers, a few swamps and an occasional tight approach shot with trees. There’s really nothing bad about this course. If you wanted to nit-pick, you could say that it’s short and some of the holes can be repetitive and lack imagination, but for the cost, it’s worth it. Consider a round here a great opportunity to work on your short game. One of my favorite courses to practice, have fun and not break the bank.

I play on this golf course at least 5 times every year. It is par 60, mostly par 3s with a few par 4s, yardage ranging from 80 to 300, so you will need to use every club in the bag. The greens are pretty slow, but overall this course is in very good shape and a challenge to any golfer

Great greens. Very nice course to work on short game. The course has a few nice 250 – 300 yard par 4s to shoot at. I would definitely recommend this course if your in the mood for a quick round and want to work on your short game. Great grass driving range with high quality grass. This facility also has two nice putting greens and a sand trap.

I played there this past weekend Saturday 9 holes and Sunday 18 holes with my wife(who is a beginner). It was a perfect course to help build her confidence. I was very impressed with the facility. The staff were very welcoming. There is a driving range, two putting greens, and a small restaurant and a well stocked pro shop. You can walk or take a cart. The course is in excellent condition, the greens roll true. I would recommend this course to all levels of golfer. Looking forward to playing again when we are in the area. It is a family friendly place. Quite a few parents out with their pee wee golfers

One of the best executive courses I’ve played. Nice lay out with a few par 4’s to make it interesting. Course is well groomed and the greens are slow if you want to play with a beginner. Also, the staff is friendly and they even have a nice range where you can hit balls off of real grass.

Probably the best executive course in the area, always looks beautiful and isn’t usually too busy. My only possible complaint could be that the some of the holes are very similar, but that’s probably true anywhere you go. It’s really an easy course for beginners, and anyone who needs a nice confidence boost. The driving range is pretty good, as well.

Willow Brook is an excellent 18 hole executive course. The course is short with a total yardage of just over 3000 yards from the tips. Only a third of the holes are Par 4s and the other two thirds are par 3s. That said, it is a great course to practice mid to short irons. The course isn’t the most difficult but it does pose it’s challenges. Some of the longer holes have tight fairways with trees and bunkers lining them which demand a precise drive. Other then that, the holes are relatively straight and flat with only one sharp dogleg hole. There are no water hazards. The course is kept in pristine condition. It is probably the best maintained golf coursed I’ve played in a while. There are plenty of yardage markers all over the course to help determine your club selection. Greens were a bit on the hard side but in pretty good shape. Players just need to start repairing ball marks better. Additionally, the signage is excellent at Willow Brook. All holes were labeled nicely as well directions to the next hole. I wish more courses would follow their lead. Cost was $ 36 for 18 with a cart. It’s not the cheapest(The Tradition in Windsor is $ 35 for 18 riding) but well worth it especially considering the course conditions. It’s a very walkable course but it was 90+ degrees when I played, so took a cart. There’s a driving range, putting green and a restaurant although I did not use them on my visit. All in all I would play here again in a heart beat. It’s an excellent place for beginners to learn the game and for more experienced golfers to hone their game.
