Skull Island

This place is Amazing! The mini golf course is absolutely humongous. The absolutely exceptional design made it by far the coolest mini golf course I have ever seen.
From the towering castle to the beautiful waterfalls, the entire course was an absolute must do if you are in Yarmouth. I also went to the Go-​Kart track which was a bit small but the carts were very fast. Overall I feel blessed to have been able to go to this absolutely extraordinary establishment.

All we did was the Go Karts but it was such a horrible waste of time and money that I didn’t want to give the place any more money to try the mini golf. So all I can speak of is the go karting but it was absolutely terrible. The go Karts are so slow that one cannot pass anyone else, and the track is a boring oval so there is no room to actually do anything. Whatever you do, do not spend the money to go kart here.

Cool mini golf course with lots of arcade games inside. Also have batting cages, driving range and go karts in a pretty convenient location. We went right before dinner on a Saturday and it was really busy, but we moved fairly quickly through mini golf since it isn’t super challenging. I think the mini golf was $ 10 per person, which is more than most other places (not on the Cape) and is cash only — there is a BofA atm in the parking lot though.

This is just a review of the mini-​golf.
We don’t usually go here because it can get really crowded, but the kids wanted someplace different than our usual haunt. We had a fun round and though busy, there was no backup.
It’s a challenging course. Our group only got one hole in one (we usually get three or 4). Even looks like it got a refresh from last year — new «grass» and some other changes.
There is no real discount for younger kids (I think the age cutoff is 3 or 4) and at $ 10/​person it’s on the pricier side.

Skull Island offers lots of different activities (Go Karts, Batting cages, Arcade, driving range, …) — but this review is strictly for Mini Golf course.
Mini golf is excellent, quite challenging (an equal mix of Par 2 and Par 3 holes), lots of fun. The course is decorated very creatively. It might get slow with lots of small kids, so you need to be prepared to go at a «vacation» pace. Important note: the price of mini golf is $ 10 per person, and the place accepts cash only. There is Bank of America ATM right on premises, but if you are not BoA customer, you better come prepared. Look for $ 1 off coupon in Cape Cod Kids booklet.
Right next to the golf course there is Blondie Ice Cream — very delicious. Note — again, cash only.
Mini golf is highly recommended — fun for the whole family.

Played mini-​golf tonight and it was very busy. Cash only when you come here. Fun course and no complaints.

This review is for the golf course only, as I have only view the golf range, the arcade, the batting cages, and the go carts, which looked really fun. The course is by far the most creative and was designed with great amounts of effort. The prices are not expensive, I don’t know why people are complaining. $ 10, with a coupon, $ 9 is not expensive for an impressive mini golf. Competing courses charge very similar amounts. This place gets crowded, so come first thing in the morning at 9:00, or lunchtime. The course is beautiful. You begin approaching a cave with a small waterfall. You trek up towards the pirate ship and play a hole through a treasure chest. Next, you descend towards the famous skull head, which usually wears its 4^th of July hat. The course from here is a bit basic, lacking a little scenery from holes 11 through 16, but the construction is all amazing. The concluding holes are quite challenging. I understand what other reviews are saying, that the holes all incline and they aren’t extremely diverse. I see this, but I don’t recognize this as a problem, since families with children don’t really notice this trend, but they notice the scenery and the well constructed course in general. I surely will come back and visit this golf course next year.

This review is for the Go Carts Only. The electric carts are nice, but WOW are they expensive. There are other places not that far away that are cheaper. $ 10.00 for a ride, To rich for my blood

I went there for minigolfing this past weekend and the lines were so long. I think it took us at least 1.5 hrs to finish the 18 hole course. We were told about the wait times. But it took a long time either way. Expected because it was July 4^th weekend
The minigolf course was cool, but they also have other stuff to do. They have a driving range, batting cages, go karts, and arcade. So there is plenty for you to do!

This is a great course but more importantly the staff are fabulous. This past weekend we had an incident with keys locked in the car trunk. No help or suggestions from police or fire department. The kind woman at the desk (missed her name. Longer braided hair) and Jeff helped us and got us back on the road. Rescued our weekend! Thx guys you are the best and we will be back!

I enjoyed mini-​golf at this course with 4 members of my husband’s family.
It’s cash only, but there is a discount coupon in the kids on the cape booklet (so pick up the free booklet before you go).
The course was fun for all of us, even though we’re all adults. The scenery on the course was cute too!
There is also an arcade on the property, but it seems that it’s mostly games of chance geared to adults, not kids.

The things that detract from my experience:
1. Long lines/​waiting time at each hole every time I have been there (3 times)
2. Holes are not the diverse
3. Cash only
4. Twice as expensive as Pirates Cove

Oh Skull Island, I wanted to love you so much more than I did.
The course looks insanely impressive as you come by. Giant winding holes, an epic skull peering down at you with glowing purple eyes, the works. I thought it would be a blast.
It was not. To begin with, it’s a one-​way course, so there’s no going around. When we lost a ball to the water, we had to stop play and run all the way back through the course to the main office. This halted play behind us and forces my brother to walk through other people’s games. Not well designed at all.
Plus, due to the winding design of the course, most of the holes slope upward, making them frustrating. I like a mix of flat, rises and dips in a course. This way all up all the time. I’m not an amazing put-​put golfer, but I do OK. Not here. I did terrible trying to keep the ball from falling back on every hole. Awful.
It’s also a dollar more than most courses at $ 10 a game. And cash only for some reason.
The scenery is beautiful though and it’s very relaxing to go through caves and under water. For that alone they get the extra star. But overall, no thanks, so many other great courses in the area.

The place is HUGE! But it was super-​crowded, also. Prices were okay. The really annoying thing was that it is a one-​way course. So if you need to get off the course, you have to walk back through the course where others will be trying to play, obviously. Not sure what design genius thought that one up. We had a lady and her kid stop us to look for an earring or something on one of the holes. Of course my 15 month old son wanted nothing to do with the course, so then I had to walk through others play. Awkward.

If you go off season (we visit each September) this is a great spot for mini golf.
Our 6 year old has been golfing here (and go-​karting) for 4 summers.
It’s a cash-​only money-​suck for sure — but we enjoy it just the same.
Beautiful water-​filled course.

The main issue with the place is the wait. It is too popular, and things just get stuck.
So, the four stars ignores that, as a place can’t really be held accountable for being popular. I mean, are they supposed to turn people away because the course is too busy?
So, the course: The holes had real water hazards (an oft-​ignored thing) as well as patches of «rough» in the form of plastic grass. The fake sand (which was just different colored felt) was a waste, but the different textures of things was a nice touch that more courses should use. They also played with height, so you actually had to survey the green rather than just aiming directly at the hole like many mini-​golf courses do.
Another plus is the scenery. There is moving water by nearly every hole and well put together and maintained set-pieces.Some spaces between holes were a bit too crowded, but in general there was always something to look at to pass the time. The speed was at times frustrating, but I considered it worth the wait.

Why are there so many cash-​only businesses on the Cape? And why does mini-​golf have to be so crowded?
Whine, whine, whine.

Good, clean, family fun.
Even if I stuck at it terribly.
