Terrible service and average food. Our server was wearing sandals, while serving food. Is that legal? She provided a single slice of bread as a side order of toast and claimed that was the correct portion size(it was not). She said she would be back in two minutes and only came back when we flagged her down after ten. Coffee without cream was the norm. The topper was when she apologized and told us that this was her first day. The Manager told us that this server had been there for TWOWEEKS. I have a feeling she won’t make it to three. There are far better breakfast options in the area.

Food was great, service was not. Staff was very rude when asked if separate checks could be done for a big group.

Waitress was inattentive and definitely more interested in the 3 young men who came in after my family and I. Took 10 minutes to even acknowledge us and get our drinks. Food was ok but it’s pretty expensive for pancakes. Ordered a side of bacon for $ 5 and got 3 measly skinny pieces. The lady who rang us up at the front counter was grumpy and acted like it was a bother to take our money. With that kind of attitude that’s the last 60 bucks they’ll be getting from me.

We went here on a Wed morning and both had pancakes. I had the buttermilk pancakes with a side of sausage and my wife had the Cinful pancakes. The pancakes were ok… nothing special. The sausage was good. We did have good service, even with a training situation going on. The most disappointing part was the price. Decisively on the expensive side for merely average food.

The Pancake Man is a staple in town. You would think that a well known restaurant would have better quality food. The food was pretty plain to say the least, nothing to write home about. I ordered eggs, sausage(I normally get bacon, but I figured I would try it) and a waffle. My son ordered the kids Cinful pancakes which is a cinnamon bun and pancake all in one, topped with icing.(I can’t believe I let him order that lol) My fiancée ordered eggs Benedict with corned beef hash. For a treat we decided to get mimosas because the table diagonal to us was a bridal party and being recently engaged I was in the mood to celebrate. Seems simple enough right? Wrong! For starters the waffle had he strangest consistency. Normally a waffle is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It was hard all the way through and really dry. I had to add an insane amount of syrup just to be able to cut through it. Next, my son said his food tasted funny? I asked him what was wrong because he is the least picky kid ever, He eats whatever he orders.(within reason) I looked for the icing and thought they forgot it so we asked the waitress. She replied that it must have sunken in. Sunken in? What? I can understand some of it melting but all of it would not disappear before you finish 2 bites. She brought us more, and I was shocked by what it was… a clear liquid which looked like simple syrup. So gross! My son didn’t eat his food so I shared my eggs and sausage. Now for my fiancees breakfast(I am saving the best for last… our mimosas) His eggs benedict did not look fresh at all. Hollendaise sauce had a very dark color, not normal. His hash wasn’t traditional hash so he was disappointed. Pieces were very large and not chopped or seared so it just wasn’t appealing. If we go back we will not order any of these things for sure. The Pancake Man does have fresh squeezed orange juice which is very cool and the machine is large and has a see through pane so you can watch the gears working. I am not usually a fan because I don’t like pulp. The Mimosas came in scratched up crappy plastic cups and had this dark orange film all around it. It was not a real mimosa. Now don’t get me wrong I realize its not fancy place but I still expect a glass and maybe strain the mimosa so it is free of the shavings from the peel(this wasn’t pulp). We will most likely go back, but will keep all of the above mentioned in mind before ordering.

The staff is always attentative, polite, and friendly. The super long lines out the door is worth the wait. The meat omlette is filling and delicious with every bite.

Mimosas were great but everything else, not so much. The peanut butter cup pancakes were so dry and didn’t taste like peanut butter at all. The Eggs Benedict Florentine I got were covered in so much spinach you could’ve made easily 6 meals with it and the meal as a whole was not very flavorful.

Had breakfast here last weekend and overall, it was fine. Nothing that I would go out of my way to have again, but was totally ok. My real issue, honestly, is how many onions were in the home fries. It was almost more onion than potato and I just didn’t like them. My omelette was fine, my pancakes were fine, the service was great and the prices were low. I would maybe go back again and just skip the home fries this time!

They changed the recipe for the corned beef hash. It used to be delicious now it is very chunky and salty and lacking on the green peppers and onions it once had. Pancakes are still good. Tough to get decaf iced coffee. Some waitresses will make it, some will not. Iced tea is not freshly brewed it is Nestea. Specializing in breakfast you should probably have fresh brewed iced tea and iced decaf. Scrambled eggs are just ok. I will go back but just not as often because we mainly went for what was the best corned beef hash. Still better than Hearth n Kettle which serves cold food and is over priced. The staff is friendly.

Meh. The service was fast and friendly, and the prices are fairly cheap, but the food is just okay. My wife, daughter, and I opted for pancakes(sort of a given, right?) and left disappointed. My peanut butter cup offering was good, but light on the chocolate. My wife’s apple cinnamon cakes were just awful. The sauce tasted almost like onions. I highly recommend avoiding these. So, ya know, fine, but we won’t be back anytime soon.

Absolute best breakfast on the Cape. Try the peanut butter pancakes l, you will no be upset you did. Very friendly staff, in terms of pricing we walked out two drinks and two plates of pancakes for under $ 30. It was a great time. A bit noisy but perfect none the less.

Good breakfast spot in a great location. Veggie and cheese omelet was excellent, veggies were scrambled into egg and cheese had great flavor. Pancakes were just alright as well as the potato pancakes, lacking flavor. Sausage egg and cheese on an english muffin was the best ever. Two eggs, large English muffin, great sausage. Good iced coffee. The interior of the restaurant was dirty, carpet was filthy, plastic glass had big chip missing from the edge. Waitress was very nice and food came fast. Quality of food was excellent compared to restaurant looks. Chairs and tables are old and decrepit, probably original. Long line when we left going into parking lot.

DAMNTHISPLACEISGOOD! I got a Portuguese omelette and it was fabulous. I never order omelettes and I just had to try it here. Linguica, peppers, onions, cheddar cheese all folded expertly into a great omelette. Home fries were passable, the toast was toast and the hot chocolate was sooooo good! We went on a crappy rainy tuesday morning and the place was jumping. I think they try to segregate the kids and adults. at least they sat us on a side without any kids for about ½ our breakfast and then lots of families arrived, the place was so crowded! Service was good and they had $ 24.00 pitchers of mimosas on the menu, I really wanted it all for myself but my fiancé told me just to get the orange juice as it was 8am, he was right, I probably wouldn’t have been too fun after a whole pitcher of mimosas for myself but there’s always next time! Prices were great and so were my finance’s pancakes. Try out the Pancake Man!

I had the cinful pancakes and my husband had the wild blueberry. It was home cooking. The pancake were perfect size, everything was piping hot when it came out, tasted fresh, bacon was well cooked, and the coffee was good too! The service was on point; our waitress came back to check on us a few times and refilled out coffee… that was true service with a smile! We will definitely go back again! 4 stars

Saw this on Unilocal and had to try it. You get so much food for dollar. I got the Strawberry Pancakes which includes 5 pancakes and it was so filling. My husband got the Cinnful pancakes and it tasted delish. Definitely worth trying. You will leave stuffed… trust us!

This place is great! I visited the pancake man last year with my boyfriend and ever since then I’ve been dying to come back. This time around did not disappoint. Service was excellent. We were seated right away and our waitress was very attentive. We sat, placed our order and finished our meal in 30 minutes. We ordered the cinnful pancakes and the potato pancakes. The potato pancakes were made absolutely perfectly! We opted not to get any sides because the portion of pancakes is perfect. Last year we ordered the pancakes, eggs, bacon and linguica and from what I remember from last year, the portion size of the linguica and bacon wasn’t worth the money. This restaurant is a must if you’re in the mood for some tasty and flavorful pancakes!

Why everybody gotta hate on tha Pancake Man?! Over the past few years, we’ve grown to love this place, and it’s become part of our yearly tradition whenever we come to the Cape. Incredible location for families, so you won’t be on edge if you sit down with a bunch of kids. If people happen to give you a stink eye… F#*% them, they’re eating at a place called Pancake Man! Seriously though, it’s a good spot. Great ‘cakes to choose from, and the service is usually lightening fast. We were in and out in 25 minutes this morning. I’m still bloated as I write this, but I loved every minute of it. One note of caution — try to get there early because it tends to get VERY crowded around 9:30am, especially during the summer peak season.
