Magnolia Inn and Suites

My girlfriend and I were there for a night after I’d wrestled in Memphis, and we were also celebrating her birthday. I’m still grateful for how they helped me make that day special for her by allowing me to set up the room for her surprise hours before we checked in! We’ll definitely be back next time and hopefully check the themed rooms! The service was great, room awesome (with a nice size flat screen of course), breakfast was limited, probably because I woke up 10 minutes before it was set to be over, and the waffle maker is possessed!

We rolled in @ midnight looking for a rm (who knew all hotels would fill up in Olive Branch & Southhaven on a Fri night!) the front desk staff was very friendly (in fact Alan from the Olive Branch Magolia Inn made the call 4 us as we were driving down the rd 2 check on rm availability). The room was clean & nice looking. My complaint is that the pillows were terribly flat & mushy which meant I spent all night tossing & turning & woke up w/​a crick in my neck or my shoulder hurting. The mattress was lumpy & uncomfortable. So since we only stopped 2 sleep, I got no rest & just got up @ 7am b/​c it was better than staying in that bed one more minute! The only reason it gets 2 stars from me was the great customer service of Alan finding us a room while we were driving around after stopping @ 5 – 6 other hotels & finding «no rooms in the inn».

When we rolled in at 1:00 am, it took a bit to rouse the front desk person, but once he responded to our repeated rings at the front door we found a perfectly acceptable clean well– kept hotel. Nobody is going to stay here for luxury, but the folks who own this place take a lot of pride in it. Service was great and the price was right. I got this room through Priceline. Next time I’m driving through Memphis I’ll call directly and make a reservation myself.
