The Boiling Point Seafood and Oyster Restaurant

The atmosphere makes you feel like you on the coast. Tvs everywhere for you to watch the game. And the grilled oysters are a must have!

After some convincing from a friend and being told this restaurant was under new management, we decided to give them another chance. I can sum this place up with one word, Pathetic.
To give some perspective on how I will describe this, I have worked has a head cook before in a much busier restaurant when I was 17 years old.
We were in a large party so I did expect some delays and maybe even a couple of orders not done perfectly. What we received was… nothing. Yes, no food at all. We ordered our simple drinks. Iced tea for me and Dr. Pepper for my wife and even that took way too long to get. After that we asked a couple of times if we could place our order and the waitress kept saying that she will come back after everyone gets their drinks. I started to wonder if they were having to brew the beer for those that were having it. We finally were able to order our food, yet by the end of the night, we left without eating a thing. Even after asking several times after everyone else had already received their food, we had yet to get anything to eat. Then people started getting their checks, and still, no food. Finally, after asking several times, low and behold, food, for two of the six people at the table. Yes, just two people got their food and it only took an hour and a half.
Then, when one of the other people I was with asked to talk to the manager, the manager said no. Yes ladies and gentlemen, the manager refused to talk to him. He said that he would not talk to him tonight. I couldn’t even get to see the manager or even send him a message. I ask you, does this sound like someone that should be running a restaurant? Let me point out something else. We were in the side room, by ourselves, just the group. The rest of the restaurant was almost empty. It makes me wonder what everyone was doing because they sure were not giving us any service.
So, during this visit I cannot rate any of the food because we didn’t even get any. Based on our last visit, I doubt the quality of the food has improved at all and the service and management is, well, how did I put it at the beginning? Pathetic.
I highly suggest to everyone, avoid this place like the plague.

Being from the gulf coast of Texas, I have pretty high expectations for seafood, which is why I only give 3 stars. I got the grilled salmon the first time and, while it fell far short of my favorite, it did satisfy my craving. In my opinion, this is one of the better seafood places around Memphis.
I do highly recommend visiting on a Sunday. They have a great deal on raw oysters!

This place is the bomb! Any type of beer you want, they have. Started with the Gator bites, they were tender and served with sauce, then for my meal I had Frog legs and oysters with fries. The meal was delicious and the beer was cold. This place is big and the tables are spread out nicely, so you have plenty of room to enjoy your meal and or cold beer.
I will be back again! Burp. oh excuse me. lol
