I shop here every week. As mentioned before it doesn’t have the same variety as the larger supermarkets but if I need something special I’ll go to one of them. When I do go(not often) I get ‘sticker shock’ because the prices at Big Bunny are much lower. The specials on meats are a great value. The produce use to be better but is still good and reasonably priced. The bakery department is nothing special but there is usually a line to get the fresh bread as it come out of the oven. The one thing that does bug me is they put their fresh meat out late on Sundays mornings. Don’t go before 10AM if your shopping for meat on Sundays.

The big Bunny is a large butcher shop/produce stand. The meats are good and inexpensive. The grocery is limited but sometimes they have brands that are interesting that you do not normally see. If you are expecting a full grocery like Stop and Shop or Shaw’s you might be disappointed. If you want the convenience of one stop shopping for everything you should go to a full grocery store. If you want something interesting, you might want to check it out. Today I got a nice roast beef at $ 2.99 lb. The same quality roast would be almost double the price at the full grocery. I also got huge fresh green grapes at $ 1.99 lb., those would also be significantly higher at one of the big stores.

I have to agree with Spenser… This place is like an oversized glorified convenience store. I’m used to the big super stores and big name supermarket, Shaws down the street is more to my liking but still tiny. I will say the staff was friendly and very helpful… And they even sold beer and wine there. Sorry not used to that in my super sized supermarket.

We’ve been shopping at this supermarket for nearly three decades. They have very fair prices. I’m not sure how they do it, but they are usually comparable with the big chains and on many items even better than the others on price point. Being in the food service industry, I can get many foodstuffs at a wholesale rate. I’m often surprised how competitive they are to my sources. Being a family business in a non-metropolitan small community, you’re not going to get all the specialty items especially ethnic foods, but that’s to be expected. If you’re shopping locally, this is one of the best places around.

Now will all due respect to Scotty B. and Lynette S., Have either of you shopped here recently? Please. I don’t want to sound like a nag or a whiny person but all this place is is an over sized glorified convenience store. I’m sorry but it is. I can remember this place maybe six or seven years ago vaguely being a bit better. The chicken products here are horrible. Just yuck. But I didn’t rate it one stars for two reasons. One, they atleast stock the basics. Think of it as ration shop. They got bread, milk, juices, soda, crackers etc. etc. etc. Two, it is good for the people who enjoy it. And if you do, great. I wish I liked it a little more. But the location(About three or four miles to Shaw’s and not too many more to Big Y.) Why not just shop there? S.O.

A small sized family owned supermarket. It doesn’t offer as much as the large chains but there are usually good deals there each week. The staff is always helpful and courteous and there’s usually not a problem finding someone for assistance. I find them more convenient then the Big Y, the only other player in town.

I love this locally-owned supermaket. It is community-involved and has good deals. It is small but yet has a lot including cards and stationery, produce, meat, deli, bakery and general groceries.
