Tiny little Martin’s Coney has become a regular spot on Sundays, as it is close to my mom’s house and a great place for us to meet for breakfast. It’s always clean, and the service is very friendly and efficient. I’ve only ever had breakfast there(would love to try the coney dogs sometime), but the food is solid, consistently good Coney Island fare that never disappoints: great pancakes, omelets, coffee and breakfast specials. I am usually kinda picky about ordering grits at a restaurant, but the grits at Martin’s rival those of Waffle House(which until Martin’s was the only place whose grits I order regularly). As I mentioned earlier, it’s a tiny place, and Sunday mornings the little strip mall’s parking lot is always on jam, but surprisingly we’ve never had a problem being seated or had to wait, even when it looks like no booths are free. My mom is nitpicky about good service at restaurants but always leaves happy with the service here, as do I. A hidden gem!

The best over medium eggs the world has to offer! Great service and the owners treat every customer like family! My dining companion just said to me, «we need to come here more often!» Will do, buckaroo.

I’ve become a pretty big fan of this place. It’s the ‘defacto’ standard Michigan Coney Island in the purest form. Perfect coney dogs. Excellent chili. Fast friendly service, and all of the extras you need. Nothing that will blow your mind, but in the lineage of true Michigan Coney’s, this place is as a true to form as they come. Try their Martin Salad w/Ranch, it’s fantastic! The only downside here? The location. Pretty lousy parking and it looks like mini-Detroit around where it is. Also the trashy Detroiter employees are often rude/short(typical) I wouldn’t even get in my car around this place after 5PM or so. Seriously. But during the day I assume it’s ‘ok’… I wish they’d open up a bit more north east — Berkley or something.

Pink lemonade, two red hots with chili, mustard and onions. Side of O rings. It filled by belly and was ok. I would suspect this is hometown comfort food since there were a lot of high school kids in here getting there post football workout fix of fries and soda. Added a piece of chocolate cake. That was the best part of the meal.

Just your average coney island in a strip mall in the suburbs. i believe 4 stars is pushing it cause I’d most likely give it three and an half.

Close to my office, inexpensive, and fast. Always has filled seats during lunch rush and quick carryout. Daily specials and the soups, salads, omelets are good.

A small coney place located in a strip mall, but yet when I go inside there always seems to be one empty table YaY they have all the standard breakfast foods and coney foods, etc. All is good with very fair prices. The waitstaff is great and I have never had to wait, either for food or refills. Grats to them. There is usually a special for 2 coneys W fries for 5.50 I would recommend this place for a try if your in the area. Thumbs Up :-)
