I can never get enough of this place I absolutely love breakfast and they have tons of deals which makes it even better. If I could I would eat here every day.

I love Dennys but man this was the worst Dennys I have ever ate at. Came here on a Saturday for lunch and our waiter was lazy and forgetful. It truly amazes me that my party of four received our food one by one and were missing items that were supposedly had came with the meal. Oh and I didn’t understand how three different tables came after us and received their food before us, maybe that was the chef but he could of at least informed us of that. NEVER did he ask us did we want refills or how was the food. Point blank period his service sucked!

Ew! The worst restaurant experience I’ve had in a long, long time. The whole place had a vaguely unpleasant smell. Can’t be sure of the source. It smelled like old, dirty carpet if you ask me. My buffalo chicken sandwich arrived looking OK, but when I cut it into four pieces to make it easier to eat, the chicken patty only filled two of the slices. That wasn’t so bad — the rubbery consistency of the chicken was the major problem. My stomach had been growling for an hour before we sat down, so I didn’t send it back. The bright red buffalo sauce tasted«industrial» but masked any off flavor the chicken might have had. I did not get any tummy problems from the rubbery chicken sandwich, but I was grossed out by the dark tracks in the carpet near the door to the kitchen. I saw that when I tried to find the rest room. Someone pointed me in the right direction. The restroom was typical of a high-traffic restaurant or highway rest stop. At a glance clean, but with bits of paper on the floor and not all of the soap dispensers full or functional. I guess the rubbery sandwich put me on my guard. My husband said his burger was fine. I do NOT want to stop there again. The building and parking lot looked run down. I can usually overlook that if the inside is clean and the food is good.

I never can get enought of Denny’s… There was also a Groupon offer $ 8 for $ 16 meal(It’s like 2 for the price of 1). The server was nice and also made sure I was taken care of. it seem crowded at times but my favorite time to go is in the morning before 11am on a Saturday or/and Sunday.

Ok, I really like this Denny’s. And I feel like I should review it because I’m in here at least twice a week. The wait staff is extremely friendly and sweet, they always make a new pot of decaf for me and my mom when we come in. My favorite part of Denny’s however is the Fit Fare Veggie Skillet(330 calories). Lots of food and it’s SO good. I order with more veggies and less potatoes to make it even better. If you haven’t had this and you’re a calorie counter you have to do it. Believe me you will be so happy you did.

There is one reason* to come to a Denny’s: a big, fat, greasy breakfast that sticks to your bones and your gullet for a good week. Land of the healthy and wholesome this is not. A bit cleaner and brighter than the run of the mill Denny’s, this restaurant still features all the elements I’ve come to know and expect over the years. Syrup-encrusted menus clutched by legions of unwashed sticky fingers. Creaky, cracked booths with a conspicuous gaping hole where many bottoms have fallen through. Surly teenagers at all hours of the night. The same helmet-hair waitresses rattling off the types of bread and ways eggs can be done like Gatling guns. America at its truest at 7:08AM, that’s what this is. Ferndale offers me a host of healthier breakfast choices. Detroit metro doesn’t lack for Greek-run coneys that heap hash browns and eggs on a plate in record time. Denny’s occupies a strip of barren land with only a bagel place, a Starbucks on the worst corner in existence, and Kerby’s coney on the far side of the Telegraph-Lodge-696 interchange. In other words, it might as well be in Toronto for hungry commuters. The restaurant is mostly clean, at least when the residue of a hundred years of smoking, syrup, and greasy baking clings to the walls and ceiling like a plaque. Bathrooms are a persistent problem, so I avoid them whenever I can rather than find myself face to face with a creepy-crawly guest or a wad of wet paper crusted to the floor. My orders have always come through mostly correct, uninspired omelets all around. In recent months, Denny’s has introduced more healthy options to supplement EggBeaters and applesauce instead of french fries. The addition of calorie counts at least helps guide eaters to heart attacks knowingly, though I confess the food is always vaguely flavourless, bland, and uninspired as they get. Eggs somehow never taste like eggs here, but just some sort of rubbery concoction I chew for sustenance in a Star Trek kinda way. This particular Denny’s does get toast right, crispy without being blackened, hot and crunchy with a whiff of moistness. Service here resembles a ghost town. You may or may not see a server, and getting your bill is rather like extracting teeth. No one has fun! Be forewarned. * The opportunity to sing«Moons over my haaaa — –aaaammy!» without being evicted or directed to a padded room is the other. ** NOT24HOURS! **

I went here once while staying in town for a week on tour. When all is said and done, It’s Denny’s, y’all. It is what it is, which is a glorified(if that) diner. This particular Denny’s was rather slow to seat and serve us. But all I cared about was having that grease-tastic food all up in my pining-for-home belly. That’s exactly what I got… and I didn’t pay enough money to think I should be getting any frills. I got what I paid for and was quite content with it.

When people think Denny’s usually it’s the only place that’s open after midnight that isn’t a bar and serves food. This location, however, is not a normal Denny’s. Maybe because it’s right next to the highway, or it’s in Southfield, or well I don’t know, but they are not open 24 hours. When they are open, their service is incredibly poor and not worth it. Wendy’s is nearby, I’d much rather go to them. Or even go to the Meijer across the street and get a Lean Cuisine.

Awesome place to wait while you are getting your oil changed next door @ Belle Tire. Hostess & server were super nice, service was very prompt during the lunch rush. I ate, enjoyed some tea, paid and picked up my car all under an hour!

Why, might you ask, would someone do a review of Denny’s? Well, normally I wouldn’t go to a place like Denny’s, but recently I was having my car serviced at a nearby dealership and since I had time to kill and since I had not had breakfast yet, I after considering the myriad possibilities; one, I decided to go to Denny’s. I was pleasantly surprised. Now I started out with my expectations set low. That always helps. I really didn’t expect much. My first pleasant surprise was that they offer a weekday special Grand Slam. It comes with two eggs, two sausages and two slices of bacon. It also comes with two pancakes. The good news is that it only costs $ 3.99. My second revelation is that you can add all kinds of items for $ .99 each. I opted to add grits because I love them. That was my third bonus. They brought me a huge honking bowl of them and they were really good. Is it gourmet fare? Certainly not. Was the place trendy, eclectic or fancy? No. Was it good food and a great value? Hell yeah! I thought some of the other breakfast items were overpriced for this kind of place. For example a glorified ham and egg sandwich(Moons Over My Hammy) was around 9 bucks. And various of the other slams were $ 7 to $ 9 too. So know what to order and chow down. Who would of thunk?

Not that clean and sub par service. Going to a Dennys ones expectations are fairly low. Well this Dennys managed to miss even my low expectations. Yikes. The floor was dirty and the staff surley. I was concerned about my health eating at this establishment.

Food is Great, especially the sweet n tangy chicken. Kids eat free after 5 during the week, and the service is overall pretty cool. I go here with the family as often as possible. Its love.
