Zorba’s Coney Island

I work very near to this place so from time to time we have gone here to eat. Mostly due to its location. Our last experience will be our last. We decided to have it delivered and not 1 order was right. 2 people ordered the Super Melt but they did not add the bacon or tomato to either sandwich, 1 person ordered a sandwich with fries and even though it said fries on the outside of her box, they had rice in there instead. No condiments were given even though we requested them. This place is NEVER so busy that it cant get the orders right. the food is sub par.

This is actually a nice coney island. Lots of big windows with classic-​car décor, it’s a nice clean place, it’s got an extensive menu with so-​so prices. Service is iffy… for the most part, the staff is nice, but once in a while you end up with a grumpy waitress. But hey, it’s a coney.
I’ve always been perfectly pleased with the food. I usually go for lunch, and usually just try their gyros, sandwiches, or salads (haven’t tried any of their entrees, although they’ve only got about 8 in total). Sandwiches run around $ 5-​$ 7 but don’t include fries. Their regular gyro is $ 5.25 and doesn’t come with a side either. But, everything is delicious.
The one thing I think I’ve noticed is that desserts are not their forte. The menu says to check the glass case, and the glass case is usually… empty. I think you can probably get rice pudding or something, and maybe they’ve got some sort of pie sitting around back, but I’m not sure. So don’t get too excited about the desserts until you ask what they’ve even got.
Overall, it’s one of my favorite coneys.
