I am writing this review in spite of Home Depot in Milldale. I went to buy carpet yesterday at Home Depot and waited around for 40 minutes total to be serviced in the carpet area. Turns out the carpet I wanted wasn’t stocked on the roll and the saleswoman could have cared less about trying to help me find another.
Today however, Lowe’s satisfied my carpet needs! We were greeted, not once, but twice (go figure, right?!) by store workers, and within 1 minute of reaching the back end of the store where the giant rolls of carpet were, a kind woman named Laurie asked if I needed anything. She quickly helped me identify which carpet we needed and located a coworker to help her cut and wrap the rug.
Amen! Took me less than 30 minutes to buy the carpet at Lowe’s and puts to shame the 45 minute, fruitless ordeal at Home Depot down the street.

Cust. Service stinks. I asked a person there where something was located he points and says over there. I still had to search for it. Are they too lazy to show you where it is?

Best Lowes I have ever been to.
Plenty of parking, being connected to Target and the parking lot is easy to get out of with lights being right infront.
Being right off of the highway, this location is easy to find.
The department store is huge and I only once walked out without finding what i was looking for.
I usually come here when I do not find what I am looking for at Home Depot. There are no local Lowes where I live and work. (Lowes needs to get on the Middlebury/Waterbury train already).
The staff is friendly and helpful. They did not have an item in stock, but when I asked the employee used her radio to ask if any were available. Plus 1 for going out of her way.
Another time I spent a while talking to the guy in plumbing. They did not have what i was looking for, but he came up with every type of solution possible.
If you live in the area, this is definitely the hardware store of choice for «do it yourselfers».

I like this location. It is super convenient when on 84 seeing it is off of West Street. Unlike some locations, every time I have come here, they have had what I needed on the spot.
This particular time we were looking for a front door for a friends house and the staff in that department was very easy to work with and was knowledgeable which is a +.
