Have to say I was pleasantly surprised with my experience here. Large list of cheap drinks, overly friendly service, and surprisingly tasty food across the board. It started off with the free bread and I believe it’s honey butter to go with it and its a great warm up to the rest of the meal. We tried the coconut shrimp paired with creole marmalade, the Fosters beer cheese fondue served with soft pretzel sticks for dipping, and the bloom petals which is a smaller amount of the bloomin onion. The bloom petals are a great idea because the bloomin onion is almost too much, gives you a chance to enjoy them while not having a whole bunch of leftovers that aren’t good reheated. All apps were really good. I got the aussie fish tacos which probably had the most fish on a fish taco I’ve ever had and surpassed my expectations in flavor. Side salad to go with it was good size and they had interestingly delicious dressings to choose from. Had a good time here and enjoyed my food. Exceeded expectations for a chain restaurant.

I just had the worst meal ever as a «take away» dinner. The steak was tough, over cooked, and tasteless. The coconut shrimp were soggy and the bread was stale. All in all, it was a huge, EXPENSIVE mistake. Also, the portion sizes are incredibly small compared to only a year ago. Stay away. There are better places.

This place is alright sometimes I usually order filet mignon and about the 15 times I’ve been there only maybe 4 times was the filet good very fatty which is unusual for a filet which is why the low rating they have ruined many of our dinners and lunches. I now go to Texas Roadhouse if a want a steak and the filet mignon is a 100 times better

Went there in January and got rack of lamb. Tough and fatty. Not good. Went there on April 21, 2016. The shrimp appetizer was good and crunchy. Order the steak Marsala. It was so chewy and tough. Ugh. Gave me more and it was still ugh. Took it home for cat and she would not eat it. We will not be going back any time soon. They used to be so good. Not worth a hour wait. Don’t waste your money.

Not happy. Was there today for lunch. Salad didn’t have enough dressing. Got a wet knife with the bread. I got the wrong wine and when my steak came I was told the side I ordered wasn’t ready and pretty much was told that only the baked potatoes were ready. For the inconvienence of not getting the side I wanted and having to have my wine exchanged, I should have been given a discount or offered a free dessert or something. Won’t be going back to this location.

My first outback experience.90 minute wait while several tables sit clean and unoccupied(we were a party of two). After waiting 45 minutes, we finally got in. Food is above average.

The food is good, atmosphere and menu is contrived… Been there a few times and sometimes they get it right, other days the manager is busy ‘comping’ for meals gone wrong…

Went here on a Saturday night with my girlfriend, called ahead and was told 45 – 60 minutes. No problem, I knew at 630 on a Saturday I’d be waiting. Got there with 30 minutes to spare. Went inside the building after 35 minutes and was seated almost right away. Wow! Our waitress was very nice but very quick to leave our table, as soon as we placed a drink order she bolted before i could open my mouth and put in our appetizer. Not a big deal, but your job is to serve us. Waited n average amount of time for our dinner, she got the lobster tail and filet which was very well cooked and I got the 16oz prime rib. I was blown away at how well it was prepared medium rare with great flavor and very tender. I was not expecting that based on past visits. I would most definitely go here again, maybe not a Saturday as I’m sure every waitress or waiter is going nuts.

We came on a very busy night! Even with a 45 min wait, it was a great experience. Excellent service, everything was delivered in a timely manner, and our steaks were cooked to absolute perfection. 5⁄5 stars!!!

Meal was great. Service was exceptional. The 6 oz steak was a little stringy and tough. Asparagus was a nice addition to their sides(add a $ 1 more). No wait time. Lobster tail was delicious. Will come back.

Very well ran outback steakhouse. Depending on how busy they are your food and drinks come out fairly quick. If this is your first time at an outback, the blooming onion is always a must for me This visit our waiter named Christian was awesome, very friendly and helpful. We were crunching for time as we were going to see a movie directly after and knew we would miss the beginning. He had the kitchen quickly prep our food and he even suggested to have my wife’s leftovers put in small containers to be snuck into the theater. Christian really went over the top on every aspect of his job and then some. If we weren’t in such a rush I would have found the manager to tell him or her how excellent the level of service Christian delivers. If I’m ever in the area again I will definitely return.

I enjoy eating at the Outback in Southington. The wait staff is tremendous and the food is very good. My favorite meal there is the aussie steak tacos. I never would have tried it if it was not recommended by the waiter and now its is my favorite… WHAT?! I do not recommend curbside unless you check your food. On a couple of occasions, I picked up and when I arrived home I noticed my steak was really fatty. I doubt this would of happened if I was eating in. Never again will I order curbside. I recommend the Outback in Southington to everyone. The atmosphere is lively and friendly!

Wow this place has gotten really bad from when they opened. The food quality sucks. Steak is tough whether it’s filet or prime rib. Not nearly worth what they charge. Outback 10 years ago was decent now it’s on same level as getting a steak at chilis. Spend the extra $ 20 and go to Ruth Chris.

I have eaten here on multiple occasions and I have had great experiences and then not so great experiences. The last couple of times, eh not so great. The steak tacos were lite on steak and fatty, too. The mixed veggies were over cooked same for the asparagus. Friendly wait staff and price points are not bad.

Not sure what it is about Outback Steakhouse. Perhaps it’s that none of the food there is remotely Australian(try searching«Australians try Outback» for a good laugh). Perhaps it’s because the both times I ate there, I had to spend A LOT of time in the bathroom not too long afterwards. To say that Outback doesn’t agree with me would be a great understatement. Will I be back? Methinks not.

Someone must be pinching pennies where the kitchen is concerned because our meal was more scraps destined for the disposal than quality ingredients. I will say the Bloomin Onion was up to par, and the fries were okay, but the steak tacos and Cobb salad were unsatisfactory. The steak tacos came out at room temperature at best. The soft tortillas were stale, crispyish on the edges. The thin slices steak was flavorless and fatty. The slaw was a mere sprinkling of plain cabbage and the diced tomato topping just blah. Worse was the Cobb salad. At $ 13.99 we expected way more quality. The grilled chicken was decent, though it was on a bed of white romaine and«Napa cabbage» bones. You know, the thick part you throw in the compost. A couple of the sliced grape tomatoes were squishy and spoiled. Bite into one of those and you are done. Hard boiled egg — maybe a teaspoon of crumbs. Same with the«bacon» and«cheese». Soooo sad. Our server made a sad face and seemed sorryish, but emphasized that the«Napa cabbage» is supposed to be that way. Oooookay buddy. I’d prefer a smaller salad of colorful produce with a presentable amount of toppings. We got white salad a la crumbs. Yuck. Not going back.

After having disappointing results in other local restaurants, I ordered the clam chowder to compliment my salmon meal choice. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a bowl of rich broth filled with potatoes and, most importantly, with clams. Being a weeknight, we were seated after a very short wait and our order was delivered in an accurate and timely manner. If going on a weekend, call well ahead of your expected arrival to get on the list or expect a long wait before you’re seated; up to two hours when busy. One of the most popular restaurants on the Southington, CT landscape.

First off-your a «steakhouse» so why the hell was my steak cooked on a flat top griddle. Who wants to pay 24.99 for a steak that is not grilled. For Christ sake you have no clue how steak is done. Food was bland and the server Cathy couldn’t care less. Mashed potatoes were made no sooner than 5 hours prior, served cold.

We don’t usually think Outback for dinner because of the long waits. But we had the chance for an early dinner and it was great. The food was served hot and quick. The sirloin was served as ordered and the shrimp tasted fresh and moist. We ordered a blooming onion and I forgotten how much I love these things. The service was extremely friendly and considerate of our 2.5 year old. Maybe I’ll think Outback a little more often.

Met up with some friends on a Monday evening, later then normal. There were eight of us. The waiter was super friendly and accomidating. Felt bad because I realized we were the only people in the place when we left. I will say the service was really good. The sesame chicken salad was just so so. For the price, I would never order it again. It was an interesting taste with the dressing, but there was so little salad, I was not impressed. The four stars is for the service, not the food on this trip. Please see photo. Maybe return, maybe not…
