I won’t go anywhere else to get my nails done. The customer service and skill is excellent. This is the place to go to get pampered and look your best.

Wife dragged me here because she had to get her nails done. The place is super clean and the staff is really nice. Wife was really happy with her nails and toes so that was a great added bonus. They kept asking me if I was okay. Will come back.

My wife loves Southington Nails & Spa. She won’t trust her manicures to anybody else. Ladies, you have to try this place because the service is excellent. Gents, buy your girlfriend, wife, mother or sister a gift certificate. My wife’s favorite nail color is salmon pink.

I found out about this place when my original nail tech found a job there(she has since moved). What a find! Jenny and Leo, who run the place, are so accomodating! The place is spotless and they pay attention to cleanliness, which is a huge plus! My schedule sometimes is so crazy, I have to call in last minute, and they normally get me in, in a timely manner! Some posters are complaining when they walk-in and have to wait ten minutes. Really, when you walk in, that is a chance you have to take anywhere. But 9 times out of 10, they get you right in. The staff will give you a neck rub while your nails dry and then walk you to your car and help you with your seatbelt. I have had years of silk wraps there, and now I am simplifying life and just do mani and pedi’s, wich some massages thrown in when needed. Excellent place. I many times go for the spa pedi, as I like my heels done well, and that is the right service. Pedi’s can run between $ 25 and $ 50, depending on what you get, but you get what you pay for. Sure, I have found cheaper prices, but I don’t get the level of service and attention, and most important, cleanliness !

I used to love this place until my most recent experience changed my mind forever. I had an appointment to go in for a pedicure and gel sculpted nails to be put on the day before I was leaving for FL… ORSO I THOUGHT! I got there and they did the pedicure just fine, but when it came time to do the nails all of a sudden they couldn’t do it and the guy that usually did do it was booked… and they sent me away just like that. I had to drive up and down Queen street desperately looking for a place that did gel nails. I will not return.

I was in desperate need of a pedicure one Sunday afternoon, and my normal«fancier» places were either closing in 15 minutes or had been booked for weeks(why does everyone in this town love reserving mani/pedi appointments months ahead of time?). First I stopped in Lux Nails on Queen Street because it just opened, and looks quite nice for a «cheap» nail salon. But I stood at the front desk for a solid five minutes without anyone looking up(even when I said«Hi!»), so I left. I kept driving, and stopped in here. It was pretty much what I expected… old magazines, some of the chairs were ripped, no walk in was turned away. They told me five minutes. I could see everyone was busy, so I was planning on giving them seven minutes and then leaving. However, I actually got seated, and was attended to within five. The woman next to me wasn’t as lucky… she got seated, and then the technician left for about twenty minutes to wax someone’s eyebrows. Anyway, this was one of the most efficient, yet thorough, pedicures I have ever had, complete with great exfoliation and an awesome leg and shoulder massage. However, I was not expecting the pedicure to be 30 bucks. Maybe I’m dating myself, but didn’t these types of salons used to do pedicures for 20? Either way, if you’re looking for a nice relaxing hour of pampering, this is not the place. But this is a pretty good place to go for a quick and cheap(er) pedicure.
