My wife and I are big DIY junkies who are slowly restoring a 100 yr old colonial revival. While we feel pretty confident with our interior renovation skills, plant knowledge/care is definitely not one of our strong suits. When we first tried to make our yard look nice we went to our local Home Depot to ask them questions about what we should be planting based off of the acidity of our soil and the look we were trying to achieve. Shortly after starting the conversation the employee’s eyes would glaze over from lack of caring or confusion. Not to mention you had to hunt through the plants offered to find one that appeared in good health. Frustrated we left without buying much of anything. One day on the way to our hair dresser we stopped in at this nursery a block away from the salon and were super impressed with the service and selection. I would say their products are 20% more expensive than the big box store but are also in better health and come with tons of free advice on how to successfully plant and grow your garden items. This place is fantastic for plants, trees, and advice on how to care for your yard. So far we’ve purchased a linden tree, endless summer hydrangeas, honeysuckle, and bleeding hearts from this nursery and everything is thriving, we couldn’t be more pleased with their products. This place is best for trees and shrubs, if looking for hanging baskets or vegetables I would frequent a different nursery or your local big box store.
