After being gone from the area for a long time and not seeing this eatery I decided to stop on in and give it a shot. Since my first time there over a year ago and since being back I think I have tried just about everything on the menu. All of the products are made from scratch with the exception of the cold stuff like soda but who wants to do that anyway. If you enjoy mushrooms you have to try the wake up casserole it is out of this world and if berries are your thing then I would highly recommend the Berry Berry French toast. The staff there is very accommodating and friendly which makes the feeling inside even more welcoming than it already is. So if you are ever traveling the rails to trails path in the Congamond lakes are stop in and give them a try.

This is a great stop for a casual breakfast or lunch in a comfortable, charming atmosphere. Delicious homemade food(the bread is off the hook and the butternut soup is even better). The staff is friendly and accomodating. The décor is adorable. I could definitely become a regular. Prices are reasonable too!

Very unique restaurant right beside he bike path. twice now I’ve had their Tuna Salad and it’s incredibly good. The first time I had it ‘as prepared’ and noticed they dumped large amounts of potato chips all over the plate. The 2nd time I requested no chips but maybe an extra pickle instead? They had no problem doing this, great food. The only reason I gave 4 stars is the very odd line stanchions setup before the counter. On my first visit there were literally three people in ‘line’ and the otherwise nice women behind the counter insisted on rearranging us as we were not using the stanchion lines correctly to her satisfaction. Such guides are commonly used for large crowd line control, and are distinctly out of place in this Mom&Pop sized business. To require customers to rearrange themselves to satisfy some arbitrary arrangement using the convoluted multiple stanchions was rather bizarre. Hopefully they’ll eventually dispense with the maze. Other than that, great place with very good fresh foods.

Real homemade flavors. The best spinach quiche I’ve ever had. Shepherds pie is delicious. Not cheap but great café food!

Very unusual place, just off the bike path, and very accessible via local biking routes. My wife and I have been there twice now, typically at about the 30 mile mark of a ride. Historic building that’s been repurposed perfectly. The food is beyond good, each item being just a bit more delicious than anticipated. Each meal has been accompanied by fresh fruit, and the prices are very reasonable. Had expresso during the last visit, and it was the best since Florence, Italy! The topper was when I asked the owner about recycling, which wasn’t apparent. She immediately stated that her husband goes through everything, pulling recyclables out of the waste stream. There goes my only complaint about this place. We’ll be stopping by regularly!

A delightful surprise right off of the rail trail. Reasonable prices and great food. My friend ordered a mushroom breakfast special and was very pleased while I enjoyed at grape pecan chicken salad that was exceptional. It is an old country store and quite charming inside. We are definitely planning on stopping by again.

I feel like I step back to a simpler time every time I visit this charming little café located off the bike trail and a block from Lake Congamond for breakfast or lunch. They offer specialty coffees, quiche, wraps, soups and an assortment of pastry items. It’s my sons favorite place to go for a mango smoothie and to beat me in a game of checkers.

I think this could be a special spot. I usually arrive here by bike from CT so I’m not really up for a full meal. The snacks here are unique and impressive! Great specialty sodas, tremendous baked goods, awesome ice cream! They have some decent looking sandwiches and the place is usually packed on weekends. I’m going to be a regular here and will update this when I’ve tried more items.

Charming place for breakfast with my daughters and the best spinach quiche we have ever had. It came with homemade toast which was also delicious. They were perfect portions for my teenage girls and me, but would have been too small for my husband. The staff is very friendly and patient. This is a bakery so we took home some yummy muffins for hubby. The chocolate chip cream cheese muffins were scrumptious. We highly recommend this restaurant.
