Let’s face it, getting service from Charter Communications is expensive. That being said, in the case of television and internet connection, you get what you pay for. Their customer service agents are generally extremely helpful, and if they aren’t you can give them a bad review which actually has an impact on them.

Having finally found our new place in the city, we needed to sign up for internet service. It’s like a necessity now, you know? Specially since we found out that there is terrible phone reception out here so we can’t just be on our phone and it’s not like we have unlimited data(boo AT&T!) Anyway, we found out that our only choices were really AT&T uverse or Charter. Since AT&T has a data cap and we weren’t going to be signing up for cable, we decided that broadband internet would be the way to go. Supposedly our unit was ready for both. Due to our area, we couldn’t sign up over the web. You mean we actually have to call and talk to a live person? *gasp* My wonderful husband made the call and setup the appointment and he told them that I had to be on the account as well. They managed to sign him up for internet AND cable. Nope, not me, not today. So I called Charter back and they wouldn’t speak to me about our account because lo and behold, I’m suddenly not on there and I couldn’t cancel the cable. My husband called them back and one of the best things about Charter is you don’t really sign a contract with them so it wasn’t a hassle to take the cable out. We waited for our installation appointment and nobody showed up. We would later learn that because we cancelled the cable, the appointment was rescheduled and we had no knowledge about it until we saw the hangtag on the door. We decided to just go to this Charter location. Hey, if we have to speak with another person, might as well do it and person and let them lie to us there. The employee that helped us was friendly and appeared to be genuinely interested to address our concern. He verified that I indeed wasn’t added to the account as my husband originally requested. He added me and found the earliest available schedule for installation. And I’m glad to say that they did come between the scheduled window.

After a 20 hour shortage and only having service for 27 hours having another shortage that has lasted 5 hours and still going… Give me my money back! Get your acts together!!! Crap monopoly!!!

Lost our remote, probably it is vacationing with all my lost socks. I was fully expecting to have to pay for a new remote. Charter was awesome and with no questions asked gave me a new one. Now that is customer service.
