Great donuts, normal price. Bacon covered maple are awesome. We went for first time on Valentines day morning placed was packed. They kept the line moving and didn’t seem stressed or surprised, possibly always that busy. Only drawback is the parking lot has one entrance and if you miss it, it will take you a minute to get back to it, don’t miss it.

Donut Bistro is hands down the best in the Reno/Sparks area. Quick service, fresh donuts. Kolache are excellent also. Milk, coffee, juice whatever your preference with your treat they have it.

Donuts, who does not like donuts. They are a quick breakfast snack and are so enjoyable. Going to a donut shop brings back good memories for me, my dad would stop at the local bakery and pick up a dozen donuts. Mixed in that dozen was always one or two maple bars, which I quickly grabbed from my three other brothers and one sister. To this day, maple bars are my favorite. I was in the neighborhood and decided to get a donut. The parking lot is fairly good size and is shared with a couple of business. There are five to six tables inside, the store is very clean and well lit. This is where the rating drops. I do not know for sure, but I think there was an ownership change, and with that change a change in quality. Donut Bistro used to have light fluffy donuts, it was a shop not like the normal donut shop. They did not mass produce. The donuts now are OK, nothing special. To bad. Will be back if I need a quick bite, but definitely not on the front of my mind. .

This place is awesome! It’s so laid back. My husband and I stopped by on a Saturday for the first time. There were a lot of options. Many yummy looking choices. I got a basic glazed and a chocolate with sprinkles. Both very delicious. My husband got the Oreo stuffed one and the maple with bacon. He said he could take or leave the Oreo, but the maple made his whole morning. The bacon that they use was thick chunks and it looked yuuuuuummmmmyyy! I also got a small French Vanilla Cappuccino(they had three options and I believe hot cocoa as well) and my husband got a large black coffee. They had tea and milk and sodas. They also provide cream and sugar. It’s very basic, but it’s absolutely perfect. This is by no means a fancy coffee shop, but it is the BEST breakfast joint. The price was totally reasonable. I can’t remember how much we spent, but it was under $ 20. We were able to get a booth in the back and we just relaxed for a bit and enjoyed it. Such a wonderful breakfast date. I would give this place a 5 star, but the parking lot is a nightmare. It was beyond slammed and sadly it’s not all for the restaurant. Every single space was full when we got there and we had to wait a few minutes for someone to leave. When we went inside there were maybe 5 people inside so clearly the other businesses using that parking lot were busier. Big bummer. My biggest advice is DRIVEYOURCOMPACTCAR because we were in our truck and that was a big mistake. I did drive by the other day randomly to see how busy they were and the lot only had a couple cars so they aren’t always slammed.

I think the donuts are very good! HOWEVER They are open all day so you would expect them to have donuts all day. If they closed at let’s say 2pm and you showed up to get donuts at 1:30 you would expect only a few donuts to be left. If you are open until 9 pm you should still have a good selection at 10 am, 1 pm, 5pm even 7 pm. Well they don’t. I showed up at 1pm last week and the only cake donuts they had were plain. I asked if they had any in the back the guy told me No! I went in this week around 4 pm they had only 3 cake donuts. I again asked if they had any cake donuts in the back, he again said NO! I have been in their shop three times. Once I was able to get a small assortment. That day the guy at the counter told me the amount I owed. Nothing else. No hello, no thank you, nothing! The other two times the only word he spoke to us was NO! Donut selection is terrible but customer service is nonexistent. If you like glazed donuts only and don’t expect an type of customer service than this is the place to go! Me I’ll look elsewhere.

I visited for the first time yesterday, but have meaning to try it sooner. I ordered the last maple bacon, a cookies and cream and a mozzarella cheese and meatball kolache. The rest of the donuts appeared to be the standard and I could find those anywhere. The donuts melted in my mouth and for the rest of the day I just wanted another maple bacon. It was that good; from the dough and freshness you can taste! Lol The cookies and cream was good and the filing was not too sweet, but I would have loved to have more cookies. The Kolache was good, but the only thing I would recommend is to serve it warm. Service was great, a young gentleman helped me and was very helpful and friendly. I’ll be back to try some donut holes and a burrito in the very near future.

I got there at noon. the donuts they had there looked really good, but there were no «old fashioned maple»(my favorite). only one person working so a long wait. so I left. like I said the donuts looked really good so I may try again, but not on the weekend.

I admittedly eat a lot of donuts. I have to say if your looking for a clean place to find quality donuts this is the place. So many other shops have insects flying around or vagrants looking for spare change. This has to be one of my favorites.

Yummy donuts that are soft and fresh and melt in your mouth. This place blows Dunkin’ Donuts out of the water. I have no idea how anyone can stand their donuts. Anyhow, the service is friendly but there was only one guy working and he had quite a line waiting. He was quick and friendly though so no complaints. We got there around 11’ish in the morning and they had run out of quite a few of the selections. I do hope this place sticks around. They have great hours and are open until night time for those night time donut cravings. If you haven’t been yet you should check them out.

Not overly impressed. The coffee was so cold I could leave my hand on the pot. Adding cream made it lukewarm like it had sat for maybe 30 minutes off the heat. I told the cashier but he just touched the pot and said nothing. One if our Bavarian cremes had no crème in it. They were nice enough to replace it so they don’t get just 1 star. The selection was very small also. No chocolate cake, old fashioned, fruit flavored, or anything really interesting. The donuts we got were OK but nothing to wrote home about. Maybe I’m spoiled by the good donuts I had growing up back l east, but I just can’t seem to find a great donut in Nevada.

Great little donut shop here. Tasty happiness and great service. The Kolache are delicious! BACON! They got it and it works! 3 dozen mixed, 1 dozen bacon, 2 Kolache was just over $ 50

We used to love getting donuts here a couple of times a month. They are conveniently close to where we live and it was a win/win all around. Unfortunately the last couple of times that we’ve visited the donuts were either VERY stale or it felt like I bit into a ball of grease(where my mouth was coated almost instantly.) I don’t know if they are under new management or what but after two bad experiences in a row I won’t be returning.

Donuts are always fresh, good coffee, great service. There are always customers ahead of me but the line moves fast. I would give it 5 stars but there aren’t enough places to sit and they are always out of at least one kind of donut I come in for. We love the chocolate cream filled chocolate donut, Blueberry donut holes and I just recently had the best old fashioned maple donut I’ve ever had!

If there is a better donut in Reno/Sparks I haven’t found it. Shockingly the chocolate raised donut frosting tasted like actual… um…chocolate. Huh??? These donuts look like any other in Reno — except they actually taste wonderful. Sweet, airy, light, and no pathetic aftertaste. I’ve tried this place early on two different Sunday’s past 2 months… The chocolate cake donut though was too intense and 1⁄3 of it could trigger diabetes if the moon if full. Pleasant, authentic staff, clean, consistent… worth a drive to get too.

Sadly… I won’t be living the later years of my life out in comfort. Why you say? Because the last 2 months probably took 3 years off the end of my life. I am a deal seeker and they have a good deal on donut holes. Donut HOLES! I love donut holes! Most of the time I get there before 7 and they have a pretty good variety of donuts and items. Over the course of my numerous stops, I have tried the burritos. Sugar bomb diggity. The amazing donut holes! Blueberry and Chocolate cake ones are the best. But the other holes are good too. The Kolache. I hadn’t ever had one, but I like em a bunch. Sorta slightly sweet and doughy. The donuts are good too, good donuts. It’s just a smaller operation so if you come during the busy times it might take awhile. Don’t plan on an in and out.

This place is simply great! The service is good. We were greeted immediately upon walking in and our order was taken shortly after. The two young men, who helped us, were polite and sociable, as we picked out our donuts and they boxed them up. They have a fair assortment of donuts, of all different flavors, and a more than a few extra special items, as well, like fritters, donut holes, and kolaches. The donuts, themselves, are tasty. My favorite was the old fashioned with chocolate on it. Yum! They are fresh and definitely hit the spot! Their prices are very reasonable! For a dozen donut holes, a dozen donuts and an apple fritter, we paid just under thirteen dollars. Good service, tasty food and affordable prices, all under one roof! Such a deal! I will definitely be returning here again in the near future!

Why doesn’t Sparks seem to have any coffee shops near the highway? There was a large national chain store which apparently has been gone for years, and then another one of those further out, but really nothing else in the area at all. It really surprises me that Victorian Square doesn’t even have one! I was in the area a little early for a meeting and needed a place to sit down and do some work. A late afternoon cup of coffee could only help, so I pulled up my Unilocal App and Donut Bistro was all that popped up. Having never been to one before, I figured it was my chance to check it out. I wasn’t hungry and had no intention of ordering food, so I walked in, ordered a cup of joe and sat down. First thing I noticed, this was pretty good coffee for what had likely been sitting there for a while. It was rich and dark, great aroma and flavor, and very enjoyable. Then I glanced at the case filled with sweet treats, and saw the coveted Kolaches my foodie friends had been craving and raving about. This location seems to have them after the South Reno store runs out. The last thing I noticed before I sat down was the dirty booth. I took a napkin and wiped the sprinkles off the table and seat. Then I opened my computer and realized this spot doesn’t have wi-fi either. I’ll definitely go back to try some of their delectable treats, but I don’t think I’d count this as a great spot to work from or even a coffee shop in the area. It’s too bad because in a market with such a void, Donut Bistro has the opportunity to take over. But only if they want to!

7÷20÷2014 @ 9am. Great selection with more and more donuts being made! We went in a Sunday morning after visiting one of the competitors that was out of everything on a Sunday morning. Never again will we go anywhere else. We were on vacation in the Sparks area and wanted to get a quick breakfast donut. Man this place rocked with their selection. We ordered cinnamon rolls, donuts, and even had the maple with real pieces of bacon on top! That one was to die for! There is a friendly staff and ample parking to boot. What a great place to hang out a get a tasty early morning treat! I posted the picture of the Maple donut with real bacon on top!
