Scooper’s Drive-In

Great milk shakes! Tons of flavors and combinations. We ordered peanut butter cookie dough for one shake, and coffee cheesecake for the other. Both were delicious. The peanut butter shake was especially amazing. We didn’t order food since it was 11am and that’s a little early for heavy food. But there’s a selection of burgers, sandwiches, and hot dogs. Scoopers gets five stars for the milk shakes alone. Also, they open at 10am which is awesome because who doesn’t want a milk shake at 10am?

Good food had a ¼ the works burger it was good. Love the fries. The people that work he r are nice an helpful. Would recommend to my friends.

Consistent quality and always friendly service. Scoopers is always a good bet. Even when it’s cold, you can’t beat a shake.

Matterhorn burger was tasty and service fast and friendly but I didn’t see or taste any mushrooms… kind of a bummer. Also the onion rings were average frozen onion rings. For over $ 11 I could have gone to many other places for less but trying to support local biz…

Scoopers! Why or how a Drive-​in Style restaurant has never been made like this place. Theres really nothing bad to say about this place! I mean you want that traditional 50’s diner grub? Scoopers has it all. Hamburgers? Cheeseburgers? Fries? Hotdogs? Shakes? All here in one place. I have loved my pass two visits. I would recommend Scoopers for lunch! Dinner!

If you are looking for a burger or dog you just can’t get better than this place. I am upset that Weinerschnitzel bumped these guys out of their space on Mill as I loved that location! The price is awesome and they try not to hike it much with the times (I have been going here for years)
What to expect: Ice cream shakes, 100% real beef burgers, deep fried beef dogs wrapped in bacon, chili fries… all the good stuff that is totally going to kill you one day but hell yeah :)

Simple old fashioned fun. It is a little worn down, but my niece has been stopping in here for her entire life and she wanted to meet there for ice cream. All the flavors of milkshakes are fantastic, so I didn’t mind waiting for her.

Classic drive in style burger joint. This place is really hoppin during hot August nights. Good burgers… I like bacon cheese with avocado and the fries are outstanding. Fast and friendly, good location (near the corner of Prater and Rock) and if you check in on Unilocal,you get a voucher for a free ice cream cone!

This is a drive-​in favorite in the Reno/​Sparks area. Lots of parking available and you can dine inside or out in the fresh air on their patio. The food is consistantly good. We had the special: a ¼ pound burger, fries and a Pepsi.
They sell a large selection of unusual brands of soda… Banana, for example…

They always seemto be busy even during off hours. Quite a few families were enjoying ice cream cones and shakes in the casual atmosphere.

HOLY CRAP THE PEANUT BUTTER SHAKES.
So it wasn’t even cheat day but my darn cousin was like «heeeey let’s go get ice cream» because she’s awful (JK I love her) so there we were at Scooper’s. It was my first time. What a dive, I thought.
And then I saw the list of shake flavors and it was like harps were playing and light was shining down on me. How does one even pick?
Well. One always picks the peanut butter of anything, of course.
And then one gets fries because ice cream and fries go together like… ice cream and fries.
So not disappointed. The shake was super thick and had chunks of peanut throughout (chunky peanut butter?) and THE BEST flavor. I LOVE YOU PEANUT BUTTER SHAKE PLEASE MARRY ME.
The fries were good too, nice and crisp and salty to offset the sweetness of the shake.
I will be going back. I’d say right this minute but that’s probably excessive.

This as good as it gets!

This place is great its like one of those old time burger joints. Burgers are huge and will definitelt fill you up. Service is great. Taste is also great as well.

I love it! This is going to be our family spot. I’ve been once and can’t wait to go back. I downloaded the app so I can plan my meal for the next time I go. I’m going back for the 2^nd time today. Oh and the fries are awesome!

The milk shake was «ok». It wasn’t super creamy and I think they use too much milk and wasn’t super flavorful (I got peppermint and cheesecake) I work at a diner that has a real old fashioned milk shake maker where you have to scoop the ice cream. I’m not sure how scoopers does it but I would assume the same way. Too much milk in my opinion. I haven’t tried the food, but I will update my review when I do. For now 3 stars.

I’m not a big fan of the burgers, but my picky husband is. He usually gets this giant burger called the ‘Al’.
I am a fan of the chili chess fries. You cannot go to scoopers and not have the chili cheese fries. They are so delicious! And no one beats their shakes. They have a ridiculous amount of different flavors to choose from. I love the chocolate banana.
In the 20+ years I have been eating there, I have never had bad service. This location décor is super out dated, they still take orders on paper and use a calculator to give you your total, but that is all part of its charm.
I do wish they’d spend a little money on chairs, a lot of the cushions have worn down to nothing.

So, I saw a coupon this am on my Facebook page from Scoopers and all I could think about all day was a malt. Finally close to 6 pm I gave in and OMGosh my Caramel malt was awesome!!! (Wish I got a medium but glad I didn’t). Of course since I was there I ordered some dinner I tried the Honcho… a burger with jalapeños I love them on my burgers! This didn’t disappoint… sorry no pics!!!

I asked for a grilled cheese sandwich. It was off-​menu, but every burger and shake shack I’ve ever been to will make one if you ask — it’s just a cheeseburger without the burger, after all.
«We don’t have grilled cheese sandwiches.»
«Oh. You don’t have cheese and bread?»
«We don’t do that.» (Said in the tone of voice I’d expect if I’d asked the cashier to change the oil in my car.)

I’ve been coming to this place since I was a kid; back then, you couldn’t get a better milkshake. Hell, you STILL can’t get a better milkshake anywhere else! With so many flavors to mix in and concoct new drinks and consistent awesomeness each time, there really isn’t any competition. They always have their burger specials, but to really get a treat, I’d recommend their Bulls Eye Burger. OHMERGAWD! *droolz*
The specialty burgers (Bulls Eye, included) are about $ 6-​$ 7, but you can easily spend that at the fast food chains on a burger for less than half of the quality and taste. My family always indulges in the «family fry»…it’s a big carton that’s sufficient for us four (4) to share.
I remember the days when this joint only had RC Cola (gag), now they have specialty drinks (my friend from Detroit was stoked to see a soda that «only Detroit has») and they brought in Pepsi – (thank you, Jesus)!
Highly recommend if you’re not too concerned with uncomfy chairs and beat-​up drive-​in diners. If you just want good old-​fashioned food, Scoopers is the place!

Scoopers has the best milkshakes with tons of variety in flavors! The service is sometimes lacking but if you are going for a little pick-​me-​up, it is worth stopping by. I’ve had their burgers and fries a couple times and they are also pretty good but what Scoopers always does get right is their milkshakes.

The food was good! They had a huge variety if ice cream flavors.
I checked in and got a coupon for free small cone. When my cousin went to redeem it they didn’t know what it was or what to do. When they gave him the ice cream they made it seem like they were doing him a favor by giving it to him free like if he made the coupon up.
I’m just saying if your going to have promotions you should know what they are and how to use them.
Regardless I’d come back because the food was yummy.
