Really cute spot off the road. Back area is like a patio with tables and chairs for relaxing. Dog friendly. Coffee is good and smooth. Has a bit of a nutty flavor.

Seriously one of the cutest little coffee shops I have ever discovered in America. The Americanos are delicious and it has a surprisingly cute indoors, with great lighting, and an outdoor seating area next to a little water nook. Bathroom is clean, vibe was great, and service was even better!

I’m guessing this place must have switched management or something, because what I have experienced here is nothing like what the older reviews say. I’ve been here twice already now and I have had nothing but pleasant experiences. The staff are very warm and friendly and the coffee is definitely top notch. The food is basic but delicious and I appreciate the selection of good local goodies. It has a great coffee shop vibe(Macbooks welcome) and has a wonderful little outdoor area which will be fantastic when the weather gets warmer. I wish they had more ample parking, but I can’t complain because it is an old building on the side of the road. All in all, I really love this place and I’m glad it’s just down the street from where I live.

This is only my second visit, but i always wish i had time to stop on the all too rare occasions i find myself in the area.(I think i may start going out of my way.) I love the charm of the building, the coffee’s great, and it was a pleasant surprise to find that the prices of the food are not as ridiculous overpriced as one might expect from a quaint and potentially trendy little place little place like this. I hope that can last! Today i ate a BLT. Delicious, and only $ 5. Already looking forward to my next visit!

Excellent atmosphere and really really friendly service. Enjoy a chicken burrito at one of the outside tables during the summer for a relaxing lunch experience. The chicken burrito and the salmon bagel are delicious and a great value.

This is a great Local place. Coffee and Breakfast items are fantastic. Can’t wait to try the lunch items. Love the authentic feel of the place. Local places are the best. The people who work there are lovely and engaging. Definitely worth the stop. Favorite breakfast/coffee shop in the area.

Delicious coffee, baked goods, and tacos. A small business with deep community roots. Come for the power balls, stay for the ambiance. Staff are friendly and attentive.

Amazing lil’ place! My friends and decided I go by because my friend Rachael suggested we check it out. When we stopped by, I immediately felt welcome and loved the atmosphere. After chatting with Mary and grabbing our coffee we sat by the stream for some much needed down time. The overall atmosphere was simply magical — definitely coming back when I’m in the county!

I want to start off by saying if you are looking for good customer service you won’t find it here. I used to go 2 – 3 times a week after my yoga/Pilates classes to get a chai latte and maybe a power ball. The woman behind the counter either doesn’t speak English very well or pretends as if she doesn’t understand it so she doesn’t have to talk to you. Actually I think she’s rather rude. Then there’s a woman, I think her name may be Mary, who claims to be a manager. She’s rude almost to the point of nasty. Now I’ve also seen two guys, one is very polite and seems to be happy. The other guy seems like he is being forced to be there and he’s not happy about it. Well enough on the lack of personality. Now if you want some good authentic Mexican grub this place is really good. They have fantastic breakfast burrito’s. The lunch burrito’s are awesome, as are their taco’s. They have a fair selection of baked goods and my favorite is the power balls. In the cooler they do have some waters, sparkling and coconut I’ve not seen anywhere else, but severely overpriced. On Friday’s they have Red Zebra’s mobile brick oven wood fired pizza’s from 5p-9p. I’ve stopped and picked up a few pizza’s. They are clearly not employee’s of The Filling Station. They are very friendly and the pizza is great, Nice local, fresh ingredients. Limited parking, but not their fault. Note to owner/owners. If Maria, if that’s her name, cooks the Mexican food I’d keep her but in the back. She shouldn’t be dealing with the public. Also get rid of the pissed off guy and the nasty manager. I had really high hopes for this place. It’s such a unique building and good location. The outside seating is a few metal tables and chairs thrown outback in some high grass. I finally found the bathroom while eating lunch out there. I think I’d rather squat in the weeds.

Let me state I am a coffee conisuer and I really wanted to like this place. The positives are the ambience in the quickness of the facility. but that’s where the positives and. After a quote for a eight dollar tunafish croissant, I decided only to order a white chocolate mocha. upon making the white chocolate mocha my barista stated in broken English that she was out of white chocolate. when I requested a refund I found white chocolate she found was actually only vanilla syrup. As I was in a rush I did not argue the fact that I was getting a vanilla latte instead of what I ordered and just left. Not recommended until the barista is replaced

I just started working in the area three weeks ago, and I honestly didn’t know there was even anything in this area to eat. The first time I went in was a big awkward. I couldn’t find the food menu, but the gentleman behind the counter offered up a copy of one of their menus sitting right in front of my face *doh*. The bacon egg and cheese bagel is so good. I love a warm, chewy bagel. They load on plenty of cheese and the bacon is always crispy. The coffee is good too. I like extra room for cream and the woman working there remembered that today :) I decided on the croissant with bacon, egg and cheese today, just to try something different. Unfortunately, the bacon was left off. But I called, and they were apologetic, took my name and offered a discount on my next purchase which I appreciate. It’s a neat little place. I’ll have to bring my husband in, it’s very much something he would like.

I wish I could give negative stars for my experience. We just moved to the area and stopped in to get a couple of cups of coffee while house hunting. When we walked in the lady working there was on her cell phone. She never got off the phone as we stood there. She asked us what we wanted. We told her while she was still on her phone. She showed us the cup size and we wanted to get the next size up. When we tried to get her attention to try to change our order before she started make it she ignored us because she was still on her phone. We ended up telling her never mind and walked out. We thought it was a business. The lady working this afternoon treated us like we walked into her personal home and acted like we asked her to make us coffee. I could not believe how rude she was. As we walked out she still did not bother to get off her cell phone. Such a disappointing service experience.

I wasn’t wrong. The filling station is a hidden gem. Just what you want in an AM coffee café and drive through. I could be comfortable here on a daily basis before work. The coffee was good and strong(if you want). The scones and biscuits were fresh and tasty, basically if you go there in the afternoon, it’s going to be ‘after the party’ /but really this is what we need to preserve — the hidden, one-of-a-kind places which are special in their own right. Enjoy!

I want to like this place so badly. But it’s just not a worthwhile stop whether for take-out on the way to work or a leisurely sit down with my wife. The drinks themselves just aren’t memorable or particularly good. My service experience has always been okay, but terribly slow. I’d love for this place to be a great«off the beaten path» spot, but for now I’ll keep passing it by.

I moved to the sparks/Monkton area recently and discovered the Filling Station. The first time visiting, I chatted with one of the owners, and everything was great! The 2nd, 3rd, 4th time, not so much. I REALLY want to like this place, but the service is absolutely disappointing. The past 2 times I’ve been here(sitting in the parking lot writing this review) I had to walk out without even purchasing anything. The Spanish woman that seems to be there every time I stop in is extremely rude, and never seems to get anything right. I really hope things turn around for this business. Well wishes.
