This is a nice park. It’s clean and has lots of grass and some great facilities for kids. A big problem is that they didn’t make any parking for the public. The streets alongside the park havie«No Parking» signs. Behind the park is a cul-de-sac on Umbria Court and that provides a few parking spots in front of homes. Then you walk up the path to the park. There’s enough room here they could carve out a 1,000 square-foot section of grass for public parking. Otherwise, Sparks taxpayers are subsidizing a park exclusively for people who live in the neighborhood. It takes tax dollars to water and cut the grass and maintain the park. Perhaps what they need to do is set up a special assessment district and tax the people who live around the park, since they are about the only ones who can use it.

Great playground for the kids. Another plus is that there are very few people here on a regular basis. And as such, you don’t need to helicopter parent your kids. Which I really don’t like doing when I go to more packed parks. As with many of the Sparks city parks there are no bathrooms or drinking fountains. And you must park in the neighborhood close by due to the fact that there is no parking lot for the park it self.

I love this park. I have been bringing my kids here since they were babies. They have two different playground structures situated on wooden chips instead of sand. They have picnic benches in the shade and a lot grass. It’s not a huge park but adequate size. Always very clean and rarely busy. We walk here but I would imagine if one did not walk parking would be a challenge. In fact, not sure where one could park as the park is located slightly off the round about with no parking lot. So, if you are in the area I recommend taking a little hike to check it out!
