It has been close to two years since I have been here last, and it seems they have repainted the inside. Though the outside of the building could use some TLC. As well as perhaps some monitoring of the loiters at the entrance. It makes me uncomfortable for someone to be asking for handouts as you walk into the building to eat. As well, there shouldn’t be anyone smoking within 10 feet of the entrance either. the food is okay, and the service is good.

When your in the mood for diggity dogs Der Weinerschnitzal is the place to go! Food is always consistent and a good value for the money. The restaurant is always kept clean and the staff is friendly.

There are only two places that I steadily go for dogs. Both are located within walking distance of each other and, in my opinion, both are good. But, you must realize that if you go to a taco stand, not to expect the same experience as if you were going to a steak house! Wienerschnitzel offers cheap dogs that can be woofed down at an alarming pace. The dogs are decent with no casing. Their chili is watery but all together, it tastes great and you know something, in the grand scheme of things, that’s what counts. I have never received bad service, which, I’m in shock. I don’t know how many times I’ve gone to a regular sit down type of restaurant and not receive the service I get at Wienerschnitzel. If you’re in Sparks, close to the Marina and you want something that fast, tasty and cheap, stop by the Wienerschnitzel. It is not a place to go on a first date, but it’s good. — — — — — — — — Bottom Line Yes, I will go back.

This restaurant is just ok. It is not the best. The name is misleading. The name makes you think that this restaurant specializes in real beef type hot dogs it doesn’t.I ordered the ranch chili hot dog with bacon which was also supposed to be a beef hot dog like advertised .It wasn’t. I also think the restaurant could have been cleaner. The floors were not swept. Some of the tables were not clean. Their was not a lot of people in this restaurant. So no excuse for taking time out to tidy up a bit.

I’ve never gone into Wienerschnitzel — I’ve always just had it brought to me. The only reason this place is getting two starts instead of one is because the new employee behind the counter and the shift manager helping him were both very polite and quite pleasant to talk to. I got 5 chili cheese dogs, 2 regular dogs and 4 specialty dogs. $ 22.00. They were gross and not well wrapped. Not sure what I expected but they have downgraded the food and preparation to cater to current clientele. Won’t go back. Long gone are the days of decent Wienerschnitzel from this location.

ahhhh since childhood, «der wienerschnitzel», as it was called then, has never disappointed!!! :-) famous for their super soft hot dog buns and their unique chili cheese hot dogs, wienerschnitzel is a place for all hot dog lovers! from a plain hot dog, chili cheese dog, corn dog, and their delicious french fries, no matter what you order, when you order it, and what location you go to, you always get the best at wienerschnitzel! from reno, take the i80 east towards sparks, exit mccarran, go left, and you will find the restaurant, just up on your right. a must try if you are a hot dog lover, seriously!!! :-) 5 stars since i was a kid!!!(i’m old now, just trust me!!!)

Searched about some chili dog in town and found this, so went here and ordered the original chili dog and a chicago dog with fries and coke. Taste wasn’t so bad but not so special too. The service was good. And the price is so cheap. Chili dog is around $ 1.69 and the chicago is $ 2.49. The place wasn’t that crowded. So far the taste of the food was ok, but it didn’t WOW. me :)

This review is mainly for the Tastee Freeze that is carried and served at the restaurant. The hot dogs themselves are a bit pricey for regular fast food. I really enjoy the desserts though and they have great daily specials that are very reasonable. My boyfriend says that the burgers are definitely a weak point there and wasn’t a big fan of the chili fries. I got a promotional drink there that tasted like chemicals my past visit. Better stick to the ice cream.

Got a couple chili cheese dogs and brought them home. We open up the wrapper and there was MOLD on the buns. Went straight into the trash. Absolutely disgusting.

Outstanding customer service from all employees, and five star food. Great job Wienerschnitzel for deviating from the norm of sub par customer service and awful fast food. For fast food, this place can’t be beat!

All I can say is yummm. I wish we had more then this one in Sparks. The Chili fries are the best! The place is a little run down but clean. One of the best things is they open at 9am and you can get the full menu!

I love this place! I have always been a Wienerschnitzel fan, but haven’t lived near one in several years… now there’s one right around the corner… SHWEEEEET! I’ll be back. Get the chili dog!
