Wow. A Wonderful lunch with my wife. She had the chicken pesto panini with chicken and wild rice soup, and I had the chipotle pasta with marinara and meatballs — both were very delicious. The owner was very friendly and told us all about this great family business and his plans for the future. His wife is an excellent cook, and the meal was very flavorful. You can tell that the meal was made fresh with great care, and as others have mentioned on these reviews, I hope this family business can keep profitable as they work their butts off to cook such excellent meals. They even brought us out a sample of their new pizza slices(chicken pesto) — which I could have eaten all day long — the pizza crust was excellent. You can tell this is a passion and labor(!) of love for them, and I wish them the best as they continue to develop this business in a very fast-developing area on Main street in Speedway. Can’t wait to come here for Saturday Brunch!

We decided to check out this place after seeing the reviews on Unilocal. We were not disappointed. We had their Saturday brunch menu. The cranberry orange scone was so good. We had waffles, soup, and a breakfast sandwich. Highly recommend this place for breakfast or lunch!

This place is a game changer. Everything from scratch everyday. That is expensive from an owner/operator view point. I hope they remain true to their food and profitable. The owner, Greg, recommended the bistro burger on my next visit. That’s a long trip from Texas, but hope to return again. Only one minor opportunity. Don’t go if you are dying of hunger. It takes a few minutes to prepare the greatness that is their food here. Still, the wait wasn’t out of line for any other fresh choice restaurant or deli. I had the meatball sub, pear salad and bread pudding. All top notch.

I would have loved to check out this restaurant but the Unilocal time was inaccurate. Said it closed at 8pm today but got here and was closed at 2pm. Bummer.

Wonderful hidden gem that we discovered today… the pasta is homemade! Great selections and I was with two friends and we all would give our dishes five stars. Don’t forget the homemade desserts… those were wonderful too! Nice/cute location… friendly staff. Also, it is a «this business serves everyone» establishment… show your support for businesses like Rolling in the dough

great little restaurant with homemade and made to order selections … i tried the homemade traditional(spaghetti i think) pasta bowl with cajun shrimp and pesto sauce and it was really one of the best pasta dishes i have ever had … only bad thing is I didnt order another pasta bowl … my friends ordered pasta bowls as well and loved their selections(traditional pasta with alfredo/meatballs and traditional pasta with alfredo/cajun shrimp) …

I love this family-owned business. It looks like a bakery, but once inside you’ll quickly realize that there’s much more to offer! If you stop by during lunch, they have great ‘Pick 2-Type Combos’ with options for everyone. I really like their chicken and rice soup which is one of their ‘Soup du Jours’ but I can’t remember which day. They also make pasta fresh daily and store extra so you can buy fresh pasta to use to make your own special dish! Rolling in the Dough also takes part in some of the street parties and will make food & drink specials for the night. It’s definitely worth a stop if you haven’t been yet.

What a great find for my husband and I looking for something light at this family owned café. Just a short walk over to Main St. coming from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Friendly people and great food!

This place is a real gem. Homemade spinach pasta with marinara was outstanding, meatballs with a touch of sausage in them were really tasty. My husband had the Chipotle pasta with Alfredo sauce… equally wonderful. The pear/walnut/blue cheese spinach salad was a great start and really set the stage for a terrific meal. We’ll definitely be back.

In a city that is constantly reviving, it should be no surprise that Speedway is amping up the Main Street strip, enticing passerby’s that there’s more to Speedway than the month of May. Take Rolling In The Dough, a café and market that boasts for having fresh pasta. Walking in, I could tell that I had entered a café, but there was nothing that said«market». All I could see were two empty coolers, so I was disappointed and a tad concerned from looks alone. Luckily, my fresh pasta bowl made up for that. For each bowl of pasta, you have the choice of marinara, alfredo, or pesto, plus you can add on chicken or meatballs. Presentation was simple, and my pasta and marinara were quite tasty with a definite homemade feel to the dish. Therefore, I would dub Rolling In The Dough both lip-slurping good and family-friendly.

Being walking distance from my house, I was excited that a new restaurant was opening in Speedway. I expected the food to be ok. Wow, I was blown away. The food here is unbelievable! Everything is fresh and made from scratch. The owner and staff are also very friendly. 5 star is not a high enough rating. Keep up the good work!!!

Are for the first time tonight al fresco. Hubs had the house salad and chicken salad on croissant. He thought the chicken salad was lacking, it need to be sweetened or salted. The croissant was fresh and the salad was good. Son had the meatball sandwich and was very pleased that it had 4 large meatballs. I had the chicken pesto panini and it was delicious. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. The sandwiches came with fresh made potato chips and they were perfectly seasoned. For dessert, I tried the beignets and granted, Speedway isn’t New Orleans, but they were quite tasty. My husband actually said they were undercharging for the quantity and quality of the food. I’d highly recommend this place, however they aren’t open on weekends so you’ll have to hit it for lunch or dinner on a weeknight.

My husband and I arrived to the cute shop with excellent reviews for a take out dinner meal. The menu was a limited and did suit a more lunch style menu than dinner. They had sandwiches and pasta. Our bill for 2 pasta entrees, desserts and a scone was over 33 dollars. We were disappointed in the portion size considering the price. The fresh pasta was delicious. We were left wanting more. The bread pudding was very sweet, but delicious. Overall I would return though opt for lunch instead of dinner after a long hard day at work when I’m very hungry.

Absolutely delicious. House salad was great, especially the maple vinaigrette dressing. Chicken pesto panini was the best I’ve ever had, and everything was made fresh and the ingredients were all top quality. I could have eaten the meal 10 times over. Will definitely be returning soon.

This is truly a gem near the Speedway. The loaded potato soup is wonderful and the Ham & Swiss is made with a sliced baked ham not a ham load sliced(pre-processed). Make the drive, it’ll be with it.

I did not dine in but purchased fresh pasta to go. I bought it on Monday but was not able to cook it until Thursday. It was still perfectly al dente and fresh tasting. The interior of this place is adorable. I want to go back and dine in.

Do you enjoy a delicious home cooked meal made daily from fresh ingredients? Superb homemade fresh pasta and sauces, soups, crisp salads, sandwiches, perfect granola(go chocolate), muffins, and phenomenal scones await you here. This small, 28 seats, family owned business has created a warm and cozy atmosphere serving delicious meals to all who enter. The homemade pasta is amazing from the first bite revealing this isn’t that boxed brand most of us use weekly. The taste and texture difference is startling if you’ve never had fresh, homemade pasta made well. I grew up on boxed pasta and since then had fresh pasta in other restaurants but this was Exceptional. I selected the flavorful marinara sauce with subtle Italian spices that clung to the pasta with no watery remains. Two additional sauces, Alfredo and Pesto, are also available and on my list to try soon. The side of meatballs was served with plenty of marinara sauce for dipping the crusty, tender French bread. Yes, I’m a bread dipper. The side of meatballs was the perfect portion size to accompany my salad or spaghetti. I enjoyed every bite of the daily special, Gorgonzola salad, I ordered. The Gorgonzola Salad consisted of garden fresh, crisp mixed greens, candied pecans, and paper thin slices of red onion, thinly sliced fresh pears and gorgonzola. Refreshing, light and perfect on this hot summer day. My only suggestion here is serving in a bowl or dish with sides instead of salad plate to allow for gently tossing. Regardless of container it’s delicious. Another homemade salad, yes she peels the potatoes, on my list is the potato salad. I’ve been told by customers it’s amazing and a must try. The scones are phenomenal and should have a book of their own, maybe a recipe book, all by themselves. You MUST try the amazing scones made daily and flies out the door. Hearing of, but never tasting, I made my first mistake here during the Hauler Parade by ordering ONLY two blueberry scones. Still warm from the oven when I got home they disappeared in a matter of seconds and The Dough was now closed for three weeks until Grand Opening. Just a tease! The dough is so soft and tender then stuffed with oodles of fresh blueberries. Oh my! And CHOCOLATE lovers grab the chocolate chip scones stuffed with chocolate chips surrounded by soft, tender, light dough that isn’t sugary sweet. The dough is the highlight with rich, gooey chocolate satisfying my love and need for chocolate. I love them warm from her oven or warmed for a few seconds in my microwave but believe me you’ll also love them at room temperature. Now, if only pumpkin scones would hit the scone case soon, hint, hint. Rolling In The Dough is known for and beloved by customers for their fresh pasta and mouthwatering scones sold from the weekend Farmers Markets. Now we can have the best of both worlds enjoying their scrumptious dishes here and still purchase the Market products all under one roof. Grab fresh pasta, pasta sauces, pie crusts, pizza dough, cookie dough, and scones you can prepare at home for your family or guests. The selection varies daily so call ahead to order specific items or ask about daily selections in the Market case. We’ve been so excited watching the physical changes the family has made to this space. I was fortunate to meet Cathy and her son, Tipp, during the construction phrase. It was so nice of them taking time to talk to folks during the hectic and crazy world of construction. A beautiful, strong family working together creating and sharing dishes they personally love. They have a true passion for decadent food prepared with the freshest ingredients at a reasonable price. Stop by for homemade granola parfait or scones for breakfast or try a bowl of pasta, salad or sandwich for lunch at what is sure to become a hot spot very quickly. Welcome to Speedway!
