I liked my rib hash n eggs but my girlfriend didn’t like her dish. The view is nice but definitely not somewhere you’d go out of the way to see like at the Oasis. Lots of interesting dishes. The staff seemed under-trained and weren’t the quickest with service. I will come back if ever in the area but I would consider going elsewhere beforehand.

We used to go here often last summer via boat when it was Lakehouse Café. Lighthouse BarBQ has taken over the space with the same awesome deck overlooking the lake and an even better lakeside menu. When we pulled in and saw the name change my Mom had to run in and see if they still allowed dogs on the deck? Yes! As mine was in tow as usual:) We started with Hush Puppies and Burnt Ends. I could have made a meal of those cornmeal with pieces of smoked ham and onion deep fried balls! Burnt Ends — the thinner crispy edges of brisket in a sweet BBQ sauce was the favorite of the guys but I was too busy hoarding the Hush puppies to taste. I decided on the Cowboy Sundae served in a bowl — BBQ beans, choice of meat(pulled pork) topped with coleslaw and their signature sweet BBQ sauce and choice of 2 sides(okra was perfectly fried my choice of corn on cob was not so great) — the potato salad I tasted will be my choice next time. The guys all had burgers that they said were great and my sister had no complaints on her chicken salad that looked very fresh. My nieces shared a hearty looking chicken quesadilla that included onions, peppers and shrooms. My Mom had the sliced Brisket Sandwich which is my usual go-to when ordering at a BBQ joint. And, I would probably order this next time. The meat was substantial and over flowing the bun! I had a slice and it was succulent and melt-in-your-mouth tender. According to the menu it is «award winning» and I believe it! Minus ½ a star for not crisp soft corn and they serve all their sandwiches and burgers on Kaiser rolls which seems odd to me since I am used to the more traditional soft bun with my brisket as apposed to a crusty roll but everyone else seemed to like it so maybe it is just my preference. Their sauce is sweet but it has a great flavor. Plus a star for allowing my fur kid! They also serve steaks, seafood and a few vegetarian options and Brunch on weekends. The Happiest of Hours is a good 5 hours! 4−9PM with live music on the awesome large deck! $ 2 beers and $ 3 wells and they make a darn good Bloody Mary! The staff was fun and awesome at accommodating our large group with several special requests and even kept stopping by to make sure my dog’s water bowl was full. Go now and support this locally owned restaurant with both awesome views AND food! The Oasis take a note You Can afford to hire a chef and staff who can make and serve tasty food with great service — a view alone does not make a restaurant.
