When I see a small general store set up right by a state park entrance, three thoughts come to me naturally: 1) Oh good, I can buy *insert item we forgot to bring*. 2) Everything will probably be overpriced, but it beats driving x miles back to HEB. 3) Plus, I can use the bathroom. All three thoughts held true here.

My boyfriend calls this place a scam, I call it a convenience store on a road in BFE, 9+ miles away from any HEB, Walmarts, Targets… He has a point though, considering they, along with the other two conveneince stores/gas stations on Pace Bend Road, pretty much run a monopoly on Pace Bend Park-ers. I also like to call it salvation. Ya know how you go camping and ALWAYS forget something, like water to drink(OHWE’LLJUSTGETBEER, NBDGUYS), sunscreen(WE’LLJUSTGETREALLYTAN), or, food??? Well, they have all of that and then some. Except it’s really expensive. It’s a gas station and you pay the cost of convenience. Bottom line, they have a LOT of stuff — they even have no less than five flavors of MD20⁄20. They have bait fish. I don’t know what else to say. We go here as opposed to the other two, I’m not sure why…
