Been here 4 times. Food was great. Portions are good size. The only thing I don’t like is when they sometimes they like to throw the food when loading up your plate in a hurry. I like it when the toppings and ingredients are spread evenly. But I’d still give this a 5 star based on my overall experiences. They even give our kids free cheese quesadillas, which I also appreciate.

Love the fresh made tortillas! You can’t go wrong with the Sweet pork quesadilla or salad.

Tried this place for the first time yesterday. The food was terrible. Wouldn’t recommend it to anyone and will definitely not be back. Zero flavor, tortillas look and taste like cardboard and garbage overflowing the cans next to tables where you eat.

Love their fresh ingredients and fun atmosphere. Also love their great drink selection. And to top it all off their frequent visitor card makes this one of our top go to places to eat!

Just tried Café Rio for the first time and thought it was wonderful! My last post was regarding ‘Atilano’s’ and how they’ve deteriorated since they first opened. I would encourage Atilano’s to try this place and take notes. Café Rio has nailed quality and freshness — just an exceptional product in my opinion.

My burrito and my husbands were great. The two tacos however were bad. First off the guy threw it on the tray shifting all the ingredients and toppings. also The lettuce was spoiled giving it a really bad taste. They spoiled the rest of the meal.

Kids(6 and under) get free quesadillas. Prices comparable to Qdoba and Chipotle. Tasty enchilada-style shredded chicken burrito.

Our favorite Mexican place in the Valley. The food is really good, but the service is spotty. Most times the employees are kind and fun, but they’re interspersed with grumpy people, which in our house, we call the B Squad. I do HATE the online ordering system. You order, pay, and then expect to just run in and pick up, right? Wrong. They’ve never, in the 5 or so times we’ve ordered online, had our meals ready. So irritating.

We moved here from Utah where café rio is the go-to place! I have to admit that this place doesn’t quite have it together yet, and doesn’t run quite as smoothly but it has gotten better since it first opened. I have never once been disappointed with my pork salad or burrito! Always delicious!

Café Rio is amazing! Their food is always great! It is made fresh, and it’s full of flavor without a bunch of greese. This locations only downfall is the customer service. Lack of staff some of the times. They will forget what you got and have to ask 3 times which meal is yours. I love their punch card system. I loved my free meal after 10 visits. I try to go in at times I know aren’t ad busy to avoid crowds and order mess ups.

This place had on person working the line at 1230 in the afternoon. The food isn’t good enough to wait for 15 mins for 5 customers to be served so I could order. Left for a different place to eat.

I’m not sure if this place is under new management or what happened but it went drastically down hill since opening up last year. Bad customer service(wrong charges at cash register, no pen to sign my receipt, telling 3 different employees what I’m ordering when they haven’t even started on it). It’s to bad because food is good and this was one of my favorite places in Utah. I probably just won’t go back to this particular location.

This visit was very disappointing. The first thing that was noticed was a spill of dressing right in front of the doorway. We were then met by a door that was broken with the broken part hanging down in reach of customers heads. Customer service was less than desired. They were not helpful or trying to help people pick their meal. They were out of shrimp tacos, pinto beans, and water cups. Now comes the only good part of the visit, the food. My quesadilla was good and had nothing wrong with it. But then finding a place to put my trash was difficult because every trash can was overflowing. I’m pretty sure I could find a better meal at a place with good customer service that is also clean and tidy for $ 10.

Decent food, terrible service. Everyone working here looks like they want to die. They’re so rude and not helpful at all. The bathrooms aren’t maintained, and I felt unwelcome the whole time I ate with the horrible workers glaring at the customers. I will not be going back!

I have never been more disappointed when leaving a restaurant until yesterday. My boyfriend and I approached the counter and I ordered a taco salad with chicken, no cheese or rice. Simple right? Well, it wasn’t. The person working put rice on it and beef. Well then I said, «oh I am sorry I wanted chicken and no rice.» So, then the worker re-made the item but this time he put chicken and rice and immediately rolled it into a burrito… At that point I was too livid to try again because this employee was helpless. Moving on to my boyfriend, the same person who helped me had originally skipped over my boyfriend and immediately started helping the customer behind us. I had to say, «my boyfriend wanted nachos…» Everything went fine after that until a girl at the end asked if he wanted guacamole or sour cream. My boyfriend responded and decided with just guacamole. She gave him sour cream because of course something can’t go right. Yes, I understand the workers could’ve been having a rough day or whatever the reason, but to make so many mistakes and have a customer leave so unhappy is flat out ridiculous! I probably won’t be back to this location and won’t recommend it to others either. I gave it one star because I was only happy with the guacamole I got.

Stopped by for a late lunch today(around 2:45 pm) based on a friend’s recommendation of this franchise. Upon entering, it had a very cool baja vibe. There were maybe five people in line ready to order lunch, but my friend and I joined in and planned what we’d order. After a couple of minutes, we were accosted by the first server in line, who did not greet us or even say hello, her initial line was«what do you want?» We placed our main order(her’s: a chicken burrito and mine was one chicken and one salmon taco, the latter of which was supposed to be on a daily special) with the intention of ordering chips and guacamole and tortilla soup as sides to our main dishes. The server didn’t say anything else to us, but continued to shout at customers, «what’dya want?» Our second server in line seemed nearly as annoyed as the first, especially when we asked for our side orders, which forced our first server to go back and make them — a problem that could have easily been avoided if she had taken a moment to ask us if there was anything else we wanted. Yes, it would have forced her compose a second sentence(imagine that!), but it would have saved time and maybe she could have kept her bad attitude to herself! That said, I felt frustrated and annoyed by the time I went to pay for my two tacos(only tortilla, meat, and cheese) and a cup of tortilla soup with the fixings. Upon hearing a nearly $ 14 bottom line for my lunch, I had high expectations with the first bite. Again, the food was a disappointment and not at all worth the price or abuse. Highlights: Fresh tortillas — these were the best part of the meal, but something you can find at any family Mexican place in this area. The«fresh-pressed» mint limeade was an unexpected surprise, but too sweet for me. Lows: Rude and annoyed line servers/cooks — if you don’t want to work here in a way that best serves customers, then don’t! Extras — $ 2 for the addition of guacamole on my plain tacos? Me thinks not! Save your money, time, and don’t risk the attitude. Chipotle or Qdoba have this baja Mexican-style restaurant cornered.

I had no expectations going into this place and just went because my Mom wanted to try it. I was very impressed and ended up going back a day later because of how good it was. Both times got the order of enchiladas. The first time with chicken and the other time with the sweet pork. Both meats were delicious but the sweet pork is my favorite by far. I’m not sure if I go at weird times or if I just get lucky but each time I go it’s not busy at all and I don’t experience what the below reviews say where they run out of meat. I am deducting a star because the customer service could be better and the food prep area looked messy.

The portions given today were very generous! The store was a bit dirty. There were no boxes of bright tomatoes, lemons or limes on display as usual. The service was slow… But with all that being said the food as usual was very good. I had the pork enchilada with sweet sauce and it rocked.

Horrible food and service here. Unfortunately, Unilocal requires at least one star for all reviews. I was excited to see one in Spokane because one had just opened up at Alderwood mall in Lynnwood, WA and I had wanted to try it. Unfortunately, this experience has made me wary… This particular location seemed like a joint run by high schoolers with no supervisor in sight. If there was a supervisor, s/he completely failed to see that the food trays weren’t getting filled in a timely manner, especially during dinner rush. In addition, there were trays randomly on the tables and the garbages were both jam-packed. The food is interesting… the ingredients did not seem fresh at all. The only fresh item was the rice, which we waited five minutes for and yet it was undercooked. It was awkward just waiting and holding up the line. The gal even asked if we wanted to double up on beans instead. Yuck. No beans, thanks. Anyway, I did not expect the pork to be so sweet… it was gross. The best thing we had was the mint limeade. Save yourself the time and taste buds. Go to Chipotle.
