I never rate grocery stores but this one stinks! Expensive, way too big for the neighborhood, and crappy service. Never lanes open forcing you into the insanely, frustrating self check out. The thing never works and you can never get someone who can fix it, leaving you waiting forever when you should have just waited in line for a cashier! The parking lot is full of selfish, lazy idiots. People park right in front of the store blocking fire lanes, handicap lanes and ramps, and your view for checking for traffic. People don’t return their carts and they are strewn all over the lot. People in my neighborhood suck… But the store deserves no stars for its crappy service and over priced food.

Probably the most friendly supermarket staff in Spokane. You can tell they go out of their way to be attentive to the customers.
I do wish they stocked more natural and healthy packaged foods. The selection is very middle of the road.
Which leads me to my biggest complaint about the chain. All healthy foods are usually very high priced. For example, a no salt added canned good is so much more expensive than it’s salty brother of the same item, type, brand etc. Frozen «healthy foods» are the highest priced in town.

I largely think that most chain grocery stores are interchangeable, but was very pleasantly surprised when I visited this Albertson’s.
The produce selection was very fresh with a great selection, even on the downhill trek into winter. The meat selection was the best I’ve seen in Spokane outside of a specialty shop. The shelves were stocked about as well as you see anywhere. The beer/wine selection is actually quite varied, which is good to see in a grocery store.
Additionally, the people are friendly, which is always a plus. I seriously think this is the best chain store I’ve been to in any city.
