Best chicken teriyaki in the area! May be a bit dingy and you can’t eat in the restaurant, but they have tables outside and the employees are always really friendly!

Small place with Two Stoney dudes running the joint, still makin it happen! The prices are decent and the Katsu was pretty good… Nothing wow’d me, but I’d come back if I were in town again in need of a Hawaiian fix.

Don’t be put off by the location the food totally redeems the building!!! Delicious food, generous portions and reasonable prices!!! The Hawaiian Macaroni salad is the best I’ve ever had and I would eat a shoe if it was dipped in the teriyaki sauce!!! Can’t wait to go back!

Food is delicious! Probably one of the best places in town for this type of cuisine. Portion sizes are great. The staff is always super friendly and polite! It’s small and definitely qualifies as hole-in-the-wall but definitely a Spokane gem.

I was very disappointed it’s been a few years since I’ve been here I got the big plate garlic chicken… the chicken was way over cooked it was like trying to chew a piece of rubber! My sister got the Katsu plate and her chicken was burnt… Won’t be going back any time soon

One of my favorite Spokane joints. It isn’t fancy. The location isn’t pretty. There isn’t much seating. But it is delicious, cheap, and you will leave full! My favorite of their«plates»(Which comes with the protein of your choice, rice, and a salad.) is the teriyaki chicken. The flavor is amazing and the amount of chicken they give you is amazing too. The mac salad and the pea salad are both tasty. The mac salad is classic Hawaiian style with bits of potato in it. Occasionally it’ll have a bit too much mayo, but just add a little of their«lava» sauce to it and you’ll be good to go! Pro-tip: If you want to skip the rice then just ask and they will swap it for veggies. My favorite sandwich is their garlic chicken sandwich. They put a big pile of chicken on the sandwich along with mayo and a slice of grilled pineapple. It is messy deliciousness! You can make it a meal and add one of the salads to this too. Another favorite off their menu is the spam musubi. I like to drizzle some of their teriyaki sauce over the top. Makes it perfect. Aloha is a must try! I’ve been a regular for years and you can bet I’ll continue coming back.

Aloha Island grill is a cozy little shack located on the north end of town offering Hawaiian BBQ. The establishment offers indoor and outdoor seating as well as a drive through for those on the go. The pricing is fair and in line with other fast food in the area. The menu is simple and easy to read and the staff is very helpful for first timers. Upon the recommendation of the staff, I tried the popular Teriyaki Chicken w/Rice and their homemade Pea Salad. The chicken was flavorful and the pea salad was okay but lacked flavor. I was disappointed in the cleanliness of the establishment, there was a lot of grime collected everywhere and it was clear the cleaning has not been kept up on. However, despite the need for a deep cleaning of the facility this is a great place to grab a quick bite when you want a fresh meal fast.

A great little restaurant with awesome food. There are a few small tables(and a few outside tables when weather permits) but usually they are taken up by people waiting for their orders, so it’s more of a take-out set-up. We love the Kalua pork served a few nights a week(they just sold out right before I got here tonight(5:45 pm), a very busy Saturday night), as well as the lava bites. Tonight we are having teriyaki beef and chicken, both which are delicious and for around ten bucks come with rice and macaroni or pea salad depending on the day). My company used to order large family packs for special occasions and they always proved popular.

Very authentic«local» feel. The mac salad was so so good and the kalua pork was also excellent. Very small space so don’t plan on eating inside, if the weather is good there are picnic tables outside.

Their chicken teriyaki has the BEST flavor. I usually order their«Protein & fitness plate». It is just chicken(or beef) & veggies. Add your own teriyaki or sriracha at the free squeeze area. Large plate $ 10.80/ small plate $ 7.70 The small plate is A TON of food. Large plate would easily feed two. Be prepared to have onion breath for the rest of the day. #worthit

The area in front of the kitchen is tight, cramped and overall a lousy design, BUT what you see in the back is a well orchestrated food creating kitchen with high efficiency! You might have to stand outside the door and wait in the line to order but you will quickly realize the line moves fast and everyone’s friendly. I half the half plate lunch with the popular teriyaki grilled chicken. This is a 8.00 lunch and it weights a good two pounds. The entrée comes with sticky rice and a choice of side – I always stay with the Hawaiian style mac salad. The chicken is awesome, tender and moist. The rice is great, I suggest using the lava sauce on the table in the front area – it’s hot spicy and salty. Mac salad is thick and has a nice mild flavor. Great addition to the teri-chicken. I want to start tasting other house specialties at which time I’ll try to update for the different plates I sample.

If you come here for spam Musabi, move on. They never are able to make any unless you’re getting one. The last three times I have called to get a five pack which they clearly advertise let me correct myself two five packs, they say were out of spam and no I didn’t call at the end of the evening I called around 12 or 1PM it’s absolutely ridiculous that a so called Hawaiian restaurant doesn’t have a spam I am annoyed and done with this place.

If I could get over 5 stars, this place would get 20! I went to Hawaii and while there I tried a variety of Island dishes and mac salad variations, and I just want to say that NOTHING compares to Aloha Island Grill. Not only is the staff full of some of the coolest people you’ll ever meet, the food is impeccable. I get khalua pig or crispy garlic chicken almost every time, always with an extra side of mac salad. It pays to call ahead sometimes because it’s so good they run out of the pig. You seriously need to try it even if you just go for the Mac salad! I miss this little place and will be there as soon as I’m back in Spokane!

1. Phenomenal island food 2. Reasonably priced 3. Fast 4. Super chill environment Note that they usually only give you one additional small cup of teriyaki sauce. So before you leave, make sure to stop by the little round sauce table and load up on the teriyaki sauce that’s in the bottle. If you love teriyaki like I do I would definitely suggest this place. As far as the food goes, Aloha Grill is easily one of my favorite restaurants and what I miss most about Spokane.

Picture, if you will, walking into a restaurant the size of a tool shed. It is full(standing room only) of people in the small waiting area. You turn to leave and the group starts shouting«we’ve all ordered!» «You can’t walk away from this place!» «C’mon, stay.» That was my welcome today to the Aloha Island Grill. I am glad I listened. The guys behind the counter are friendly enough but quick and no nonsense. I had my lunch in less than ten minutes. I ordered the teriyaki chicken big plate, not knowing that they MEAN big. It came with a lot of tender, moist chicken, two large scoops of white rice, and a bunch of pea salad, which is delicious but may not be as healthy as the term«salad» connotes. I could only eat half of my lunch. Leftovers! There is very little inside seating, but it is a gorgeous day. I probably would not bring a large group here, but I will certainly bring myself back.

Servers name: Unknown Atmosphere: Casual Price: Cheap(7 – 17 dollars) Service: Good Parking: Private parking lot Other: Outdoor seating. This is a smaller version of the Aloha Grill in town. The waiting area has a 11×5(approx) space. In that space has a «sauce» stand and a table for 2. They have a small tv mounted on the wall but I’ve never seen it on. This is a «square» location. Meaning they receive credit cards etc with a square reader. The reader has a minimum tip fee of 10%. Okay — lets talk about food: –Sauce: the Katsu sauce is a little strong but they are generous in giving them with to-go orders. –Spam Musubi: Traditionally — spam musubi’s are totally covered with seaweed around the long side. I have noticed that in Spokane — they only use about an inch and a half to wrap the spam and rice with. I’m not a fan of that. I do however at times ask them to wrap the whole side even if it costs me extra. I think this is their way of saving cost by not using too much seaweed wraps. Pork with rice and Mac: I would stay away from this dish. Even through they are generous with it’s serving — the meat is just dry. At times it is too dry. I would stick with the Chicken and occasionally beef plates. The service is good. Usually there will be one to two employees behind the counter. They are the cook and cashier. Overall impression: It’s an ok spot. I would recommend summertime if you want to eat out — since there is no indoor seating for more than 2. OR — if you’re up for just a take-out order. Don’t expect much as far as an authentic island style food. The final question is «Would I come back?» — yes — on occassion — when I am craving some spam Musubi. It cost’s me less than 6 bucks.
