Awesome food! Big portions, fresh + quality ingredients. Recommend the Philly cheesesteak and the garlic cheese fries. Wouldn’t get plain cheese fries, needs the garlic or any third ingredient to complete it. Worth a stop!

Now I’m just some asian kid from Southern California so I don’t know jack about what a real CHI-town italian beef tastes like, but damit this thing was beast(none of that vienna bs please). The sandwich itself was humongous and definitely enough to satiate my hunger and I do eat a lot(I’m talkin like 6+ plates at gonzaga’s cafeteria). I also got the garlic fries which were delicious as well with fresh garlic, and the portions are large as well. I couldn’t even take a photo because I already ate it all :(. The owner was friendly and the service was quick. Definitely would come back, but I live so far(northtown mall) and that might be a good thing for my health’s sake…

This is the best cheesesteak I have had. The service is awesome. And the prices are great. The garlic fries are better than at Safeco Field! Check them out!

You’ve gotta try it. I was deterred from this place for the ~$ 6 – 7 hot dog, but after I took the plunge I saw it was worth it. His sandwiches/dogs are huge and put together neatly and with plenty of creativity. He also had some articles posted on his truck that has been a chef at the Davenport and places of the like. Now he is just a dude who wants to serve good casual food from a food truck. Again, you’ve gotta try it.

After eating here for years and never posting a review, I feel the need to defend my favorite food truck after reading Lou L’s review. Anyone who eats here regularly knows everything is made to order, nothing sits in hot bins which is why it takes a few minutes for your order if it’s busy, so the accusation that Lou’s hot dog was a day old is ridiculous. The hot dogs are cooked in a fryer which gives it that crisp snap when you bite into. Everything is fresh and delicious everyday. Lou clearly has his head up his a@$. Best dogs and cheesesteaks in town, I guarantee it. Ask for a siracha pepper steak if you like it hot! Lou L needs to pull his head back out his rear, Reds has been going strong for almost 5 years, so clearly they are«making it».

Still love Big Red’s! Still the best Italian Beef I’ve ever had, even better than places I had it in Chicago. I’m just updating my review to comment that if you’re looking for Big Red in the winter months, you’re out of luck unless you’re active military, because he moves out to FAFB. Good business move for Red, sad for the rest of us who have to wait until spring for our Italian Beef.

Hands down best place to go if you want a Chicago style dog. Both I and hubby have tried every single thing on the menu and loved them all. The owner is very down to earth and also a great drummer for a band. We moved back to Las Vegas about a year ago and we sure do miss your food!!! Peace!

Couldn’t be more excited to pick up someone from airport. Have seen this place and love hot dogs. Order the traditional Chicago. It was $ 5. So ordered it with a Pepsi. Somehow it was over $ 7. Next– wrong bun. No sesame seeds. You know better. The dog was bigger than a traditional super dog. But that’s not a problem. Until I tasted the dog. No way is it a true Chicago dog. But worstly– the dog was over cooked and old Considering they were open for less than an hour. It was clear the dog was reheated from the day before. The skin was terrible. I guarantee they reheated an old dog knowing they were going to cover it with the green relish. I pulled the dog out. The skin was old crusty and over cooked. I hope they read this because they should know that is not the way to serve a dog. If they continue to do this they will never make it.

If you’re going for cheese steaks, then they have fantastic cheese steaks, and that’s what narrowly gets them 4 stars.(I’m from Philly) The Italian meats are also great if you can handle serous heat. The hot dogs, they’re alright, not all the hype suggests though. Quite frankly if you want a bad ass dog in Spokane you should go to Wild Dawgs. My other issue with Big Reds is it has just about the worst location possible. The way it’s situated you have to get creative to even get in the parking lot if you’re coming from Spokane, and then there are no seats outside except a falling apart bench a while away in the church parking lot where it’s parked.

Wow. It is exactly what it claims to be. A fast hotdog stand to get great hot dogs, sausages, and steak sandwiches. I ordered the Chicago Classic and the Polish sausage. The classic was amazing and filled me up. I’m taking the Polish sausage home for later. This was my first visit and I’m going to try the whole menu before cold weather shuts them down.

Generous portions and delicious! Great philly cheese steak and buffalo chicken wrap. Very remote spot, however. Hope they can make it there — not much traffic.

Like some of the other reviewers I have known of this place for some time and just never pulled the trigger to stop for lunch. Well today my wife and I decided to go. I had the Cream Cheese Dog and she had the Classic Chicago Dog. The Cream Cheese Dog was outstanding with just the right amount of onions and cheese. My wife’s Chicago Dog was truly the real deal. Even the sport peppers were spot on. The dogs themselves are not your regular hotdog. These are pretty massive with an excellent taste that makes the premium price worth it. Both dogs were pretty messy so this may not be a great first date kind if place. We also shared an order of the cheese fries. We both agreed that these were a bit disappointing. The cheese was bland and made the lunch a very heavy meal. The fries were good though and wished we had just ordered them plain. Overall the experience was good and we’ll definitely be back to try other menu options.

I’ve driven by this place for years and had never given it much though as a possible option for lunch. Today was one of those days that I wanted to try something new. I’m always a bit skeptical of a five star restaurant, but they did have more than a couple reviews — so I figured that I’d give er a go! It’s a pretty small trailer, but a couple of guys + equipment fit inside. After talking with one of the guys behind the counter, he suggested that a first timer should get the original cheese steak($ 8.00). I decided to go for it, minus the mushrooms. After about 5 minutes, we got our food and sat down at one of the two picnic tables that are conveniently shaded around the lunch hour! My first impression of the sandwich — this thing is big! $ 8 seems a tad steep, but considering the side — it’s not unreasonable. The meat is tender and the caramelized onions are delicious. If you want fries, it will run you another $ 4-$ 5, depending on what type you get(garlic, cheese, regular). A can of pop will also run you $ 1. If you ordered a drink + fries + sandwich, it’s getting pretty expensive for a lunch option. That being said, the portions are large and definitely shareable! This is definitely one of the best cheese steak sandwiches that I’ve had! This place is definitely worth checking out!

Big Reds has the best Philly cheesesteak in town. Hands down. Also the cheesy fries come in a huge serving and are good in a delightful dirty way :)

Favorite food truck in Spokane by far! The Italian beef sandwich is as close to Chicago as you can get without being there.

Had an awesome lunch with friends here. Everyone enjoyed it. Was a little slow but it was also a monsoon outside so perhaps they assumed no one would show. Tried the bacon dog and garlic fries. Garlic fries were on point — a ton of fresh garlic — not that jarred stuff here. The dog was good but I think the other stuff seemed better. Will be back to try the italian beef.

So a five star trained chef opens a hot dog truck… No, this is not the start of a bad joke, this is the basic history of the origin of some of the best grindage(thank you, Pauly Shore!) that I have ever eaten. The Big Red is the owner’s nickname, but big are also the portions! Some people might look at $ 6 for a hot dog and lose their mind. But the dogs are big. And they aren’t crappy Ball-Park or Bar-S, they are quality high end stuff. And the flavors packed on em, just wow. I love the bacon wrapped dog… that also comes with great BBQ sauce, cream cheese sauce, and grilled onions. One bite and… just wow. Now, they also have cheesesteaks. Chicago trained or no, I have been to cheesesteak Mecca, Philly PA. The birthplace. Where the«authentic» cheesesteak is from. Big Red’s cheesesteak is not authentic… it is so much more! Spicy garnishes and lots of juicy, dripping steak goodness. You better just get a load of extra napkins ‘cuz this is messy eatin’! Some people might complain about lack of seating, or they may find something else to knit pick. All I can say is, one bite and you will get a five star feeling in your stomach. Just wow.

Really good simple Chicago flavors. Had the cheese steak and it blew my mind. Go support this truck.
