Great Fried Chicken! The ribs are just a little fatty but the sauce is unbelievable. Real soul food in the northwest.

Fantastic chicken and an amazing bbq sauce. Friendly staff. I thought maybe the gumbo would taste like it was commercially made, but nope, it was homemade and delicious. Greens were pleasantly spicy, and beans were sweet and spicy. Great place.

Fantastic. It gets busy at lunch and it’s not a huge space, but generally you can find find a seat rather quickly and sit down. I’m not a bbq expert but the food is moist and delicious. Tried the brisket sandwich today. Great as well. Actually only the second time ordering something other than chicken. Was very happy. Last time I tried the catfish. Don’t think I like catfish.

We fly in 3 times a year and this is our spot!!! Each time we bring more people. I wish we had a chicken place half as good as this joint in Las Vegas.

Amazing! We had actually had this place suggested to us before we got to Spokane as a place we HAD to go. It didn’t disappoint! We called ahead and placed a to-go order. Who I presume was the owner took the order and was funny and friendly. He told us to come by whenever we were ready. About ten minutes later, we were parking and headed in. I would have liked to eat there — it seems like a cool space surrounded by a few local bars. The pair ringing us up were friendly and nice. We just moved here from Denver and they talked to us about that and about their recent trip there. When we got the food home, it was delicious! The fried chicken was pretty close to perfect. I could have eaten that for several meals in a row without feeling like I’d had enough. The green beans and mashed potatoes were good. My boyfriend was slightly less impressed with his ribs and pulled pork sandwich, which is why I gave 4 instead of 5 stars. I think next time, if we both get the chicken, it’ll definitely be a 5 star visit. We’ve only been once, but I absolutely loved this place! I can’t wait to go back.

3 ½ to be honest. I like my fried chicken crispier but it’s pretty good. Greens are too salty for me. Service was great and good local feel to it. Needs to serve PBR

Great southern fried food, authentic Texas spicy BBQ sauce, top notch Gumbo, great prices and friendly staff. If you have not tried this place yet, you’re missing out.

Cheap as hell and delicious! The fried chicken is good, but I prefer the brisket or chicken sandwich. All the sides are great too.

Thanking God for these people having a restaurant in Spokane! The ribs are soooo good! Only thing missing is homemade mac n cheese & corn bread. Great family owned little spot to get soul food though, Will definitely be back.

I work about two blocks down from this place so i decided to take a stroll and get some BBQ for lunch. First time here and three months living in Airway Heights and I have to say my whole 26 years of life i have never tasted a BBQ sauce this good(is that to over the top :) haha). I am serious when i say that, Bob’s spicy bbq sauce truly had its kick and if anyone follows me on Unilocal knows i love my food spicy. I regret not buying a bottle but you can order it online as well. It is a small spot downtown but the sign is big enough to see. Not a lot of seating inside but, i really like the feel of this place makes me feel at home. the smells of the place are awsome as well. I walk in and Bob really made me feel at home and comfortable, i think we talked to much that his daughter was heard yelling at him to get started on my sandwich because they had other orders to fill lol. Small town i guess since i did find out his sons once worked where my husband does know and they have already met each other at one point. I am sure they are just a friendly as Bob is. I ordered the potato salad and the bbq beef sandwich with spicy bbq sauce on the side, I at it all and still managed to scrape up the last bits of sauce, i loved it. so much beef packed into the sandwich, so be careful eating it as you will get messy. I am definitely coming again to try their chicken, ribs, and greens(i love southern cooking and this is the closes i will ever get to it, unless i can travel one day to the king states of southern cooking :) Thank you Bob for the great experience. I will see you again for lunch, tomorrow.

I have eaten @ Chicken-N-More 2 times since I have been in Spokane and both times my experiences have been pleasant. I had Fried Chicken and Ribs the first time… and Catfish and Gumbo the second time. The fish and the chicken are excellent. Juicy and well seasoned… and fresh… thats something I look for. I wasn’t really feeling the ribs… sauce was spicy for no reason and it was more oil based that i would like and upset my stomach. That being said. everything else was excellent. I loved the sides… alittle pricey but worth it. Highly recommend.

It’s rare I’ll give five stars, but this place is totally worthy. The fried chicken, catfish, gumbo, red beans and rice, and greens were all like mom’s cooking. The gentleman that takes orders(owner, I’m assuming), is very kind and patient. I wish there was one of these on every block!

The women working here are very pleasant and professional. And even though we were out of town tourists and had a lot of questions were really nice to talk to and went out of their way to show us the best possible service. The small coleslaw was mayo based, huge and tasty. The hush puppies were on the smaller side and that batter reminded me of a corn dog casing but were still pretty good. The potato wedges called jojos were piping hot and good! I had the fried catfish and it was great, they brought me some garlic sauce which tasted amazing on the fish. The food was awesome and so are the women working there.

Really great place. The atmosphere is all-south smokehouse. The flavor on the ribs is a great mix of smoke, rub and sauce. They don’t just smother them in sauce but balance all three flavorings together. Buffalo wings are freshly fried and excellent. I literally have the staff hi fives in my way out.

I was in Spokane on business so I ate here two days in row and had a decent experience overall. They have tasty chicken but make sure it’s hot. Day 1: Around 2p-ish, not many people were there(lunch crowd was gone) and my chicken was lukewarm. I was disappointed in eating room temperature chicken. It was about a 2.5 star experience. Coating was good in some spots but salty in some spots. The sides were just okay… edible. Day 2: Service was HORRIBLE during lunch hour. The ladies behind the counter were were SUPERFRIENDLY, I say service was horrible because I waited so long to eat and people who just walked in, didn’t call in orders were served before me and they ordered the same thing as me! I noted they were regulars and known by name. I placed my order at 11:52a, I didn’t get chicken until 12:23p. I wouldn’t have cared if it wasn’t my lunch hour and I needed to return to my meeting. The chicken was banging on day 2, it was really good. It was not the best I ever had but a much more pleasant experience once I had it hot. I loooooove collards but it needed some hot sauce for some salt level and vinegar flavor. I like the gravy on the mashed potatoes but not the actual potatoes, nor the roll. Last thing to be prepared for… Seating was LIMITED so I sat across from a complete stranger, and we both seemed okay it. I was raised on southern cuisine and there are small nuances that miss the mark for me. For example, if you had a southern meal at someone’s house, the roll that they serve here would not be on your plate. Cornbread is typically paired with collards, green beans and gumbo at the many households I’ve visited, including my own. Apple cider vinegar put on the tables, especially for the elders. This is common in soul food eateries too. Those are small southern touches that mean a lot to us. Not trying to be mean or complain but if you are southern raised, then you’ll notice these things. Just my two cents, but overall, this place is worth a visit if you’re local or visiting, I’d go back if I were in town.

I love love love the family atmosphere here. I also love love love their BBQ Pulled Pork sandwich. I feel welcome and warm here and that’s all I could really ask for in an establishment. I love it. You’ll love it. Wait for the groupon.

I stumbled across this place right after a long day of work. I was in town for one day and wanted some down home soul food… welp. this is def the spot. Food Cooked to Order. Great fried chicken, and a nice variety of home style sides. No mac and cheese though :(. The owner there really loves what he does and is very personable when you walk into the restaurant. I will def be stopping there again on my next visit to Spokane :). Enjoy! Dee
